I purchased my eco sport last April this year I like the car but so disappointed lots of dents and scratches, and there’s a cracked on the paint at the swing door, missing some equipment and they assure the car but so disappointed lots of dents and scratches, and there’s a cracked on the paint at the swing door, missing some equipment and they assure me of full tank of gas but it’s only 1/4 remaining when I left from dealer and they promise me of free oil change but when I checked it’s only 45 percent remaining oil life, I don’t think they really did the oil change. Until the sale documents on the new 2021 Escape we bought were signed everybody at Vickar was like the best friend you could ever ask for. Afterwards, both my wife and myself were shocked by the absolute were signed everybody at Vickar was like the best friend you could ever ask for. Afterwards, both my wife and myself were shocked by the absolute lack of care, concern and professionalism displayed by Vickar Ford, especially the Service Manager Tony. During the absolute most freezing part of our wonderful Manitoba winter our FordPass app kept displaying the following message = “FordPass(TM) Connect has entered Deep Sleep mode to conserve battery energy. Remote features including start/stop and lock/unlock may be temporarily unavailable because your battery charge level is low”. We brought the car to Vickar and Tony said it was our driving habits and not the vehicle that was the problem. Since then I have driven a considerable amount more despite the horrible weather but the frequency of this message has increased. I now have to put a battery charger on my plugged in vehicle in a garage every 2nd or 3rd day. Tony will not respond to phone messages left by my wife. Also during this time FordPass stopped working all together for various time lengths and the command start on the vehicle key fob stopped working. Nobody at Vickar seems to care less. Despite our bitterness to Ford products and Vickar Ford in particular we have approached another Ford dealership in Winnipeg and they have expressed an interest in our plight and are taking our vehicle in immediately with the use of a loaner car while the car is in for warranty / recall work ( which is another thing Tony told us is that dealerships don’t have loaner cars anymore - I guess he really meant just Vickar ). My wife and I felt ignored and alone in a cold dark place despite spending a large amount of money at Vickar Ford for an unreliable vehicle to take us into retirement. I’m hoping that the alternate Ford dealership can restore our faith in the Ford product line altogether and a professional staff that actually cares about keeping a customer. Vickar Ford failed us miserably. More
