So I tried one last time and came to Universal Ford and saw Carlo Vespa; he made me feel right at ease. And found me the perfect vehicle that was safe and practical to fit my needs. Definitely made my day! Carlo took the time to explain everything, and helped walk thru the process. With no BS. I appreciate coming to a place that treats you with respect and not just a walking wallet! Faith restored. Thank you Carlo for treating me like family instead of a customer! Me and my family thank you, loving my new vehicle. And trust me when I say this it takes alot WOW me and I was wowed! There is a saying, if you get good service you tell 1 or 2 people, and bad service you tell 10 or more, im going to be the first to change that stigma, all thanks to Carlo! Definitely recommend this place to anyone!! 🙂

Hi Teresa, Thank you for the review. I fully support your right in being able to air your frustrations through a public forum, but I believe a few important details need to be noted. Nearly 3 months had passed between the date of purchase and the issue being brought to our attention. As a courtesy, we offered to cover the diagnostic time required to confirm if your personal technician’s suspicions of a bad lifter was the case or not. We got the vehicle in the next day and did confirm that issue at no cost to you. However, we also found evidence that further damage may be present deeper in the engine, which would require additional diagnostic time beyond the scope of what was agreed to. We were working to put a repair quote together at a significantly discounted price on both parts and labour. The issue that arose with the vehicle was a sudden and catastrophic component failure. The vehicle was outside the original manufacturer’s warranty period. An extended warranty (which would have provided coverage in this situation) was offered to you at the time of sale but declined and signed off on. I completely understand how frustrating having this happen with a vehicle can be, and it’s the last thing we would want for a client to have to deal with at any point in their ownership experience. After having a conversation with you, an agreement was initially made for us to proceed with the additional diagnostics at a further reduced cost to you. However, the following day you reached out to us letting us know that you changed your mind and were going to get the truck towed out and brought elsewhere. The total cost to you for everything performed while in our shop was $0. While we did our best to provide you reasonable assistance, it’s unfortunate that you feel we came up short in our handling of the situation.
