I am very satisfied, the whole process of viewing several vehicles until deciding what to do was painless, Frank was very informative understanding and accommodating, then going through the purchasing and financing process was a great experience, Janine Feenstra was amazing too, at no moment I felt pressure to select this or that vehicle or option, instead I was presented with a lot of information and my questions were well answered. Not a positive experience Our experience began by asking if the dealer could match/beat a price on a specific model/colour of car. We were told "yes" - but maybe not the colour Our experience began by asking if the dealer could match/beat a price on a specific model/colour of car. We were told "yes" - but maybe not the colour. We looked at the dealer's inventory on the dealer webpage and saw that there was, indeed, the model and colour we were looking for. We were advised that this car was not available (it had been allocated for use elsewhere) but we could have a very good deal on a model that was even better than the one we wanted for a slightly higher price. Ultimately, the dealership was able to locate the model/colour that we desired at another dealership for the price we had been quoted, so we made the purchase. Our sales representative sent us an e-mail a week or two later thanking us for our business and asking if there was anything he could help us with. One of our key FOBs was not operating properly so we responded to his e-mail asking for assistance with this. We received no response until a second e-mail was sent (which included an additional issue related to a squeaking sound coming from the front) and then a third e-mail - this time to the assistant sales manager. Shortly thereafter, we received a voice message from our original sales representative indicating that "as he had told us before" (although neither my wife or myself can recollect being told this), we only need drive up to the service department (no appointment necessary) and they will take care of us. When we arrived at the service department, we were advised (very courteously) that we would require an appointment. I asked about the contradiction between what the sales staff advised their customers and what was the actual practice of the service department and was told that "they [the sales staff] do that all the time". The service department has resolved all our issues and has been very professional and courteous. While this was transpiring, we got an e-mail from our sales representative asking us to submit a dealer rating. The dealer rating web site was a highly touted part of the sales pitch that we received while we were considering our purchase. We now question the validity and integrity of the results on the dealer rating page, however because our sales representative advised us that anything less than a perfect score was considered a fail by his dealership and, if we did rate the dealership with a perfect score, we could win free gas. See excerpt as follows: "Unfortunately for me the folks at Toyota believe a score that is lower than perfect is a fail! If you record a perfect score you will be entered into a draw to win free gas!" Based on the overall experience, I believe that I am not being unfair in assessing this experience as "Poor". More
