Last November saw the worst experience I had during my interactions with this dealer in the past 15 years. I took my sienna to this dealer for a diagnosis on the thumping noise coming from the wheels whil interactions with this dealer in the past 15 years. I took my sienna to this dealer for a diagnosis on the thumping noise coming from the wheels while driving. The receptionist said with confidence a regular 11-pt checkup should identify the problem for me. That investigation led to a whopping 15k+ repair list. When I asked whether the items on the list would address the noise issue, the answer was "they might". I took it to a local auto shop asking for a comparative quote. The mechanic was surprised to learn that I thought any or all of the repairs on that list could fix the noise issue. He stopped short of making any accusations but strongly suggested that I take the car back to the dealership for a proper diagnosis. Needing a third opinion, I paid a private mechanic to diagnose the problems that the dealership identified -- all of the issues mentioned on the list appear to be old ones, i.e., very unlikely to be related to the noise that I only started noticing in recent days, also said the noise problem is likely a faulty xxxx and a simple test drive or shake-and-turn (2 min worth of effort on the hoist) by an entry level mechanic would've locate the problematic part. Armed with this knowledge, I went back to the dealer and asked politely for a reinvestigation because I never did get a definite answer for the diagnosis that I paid for in the first place. I was told that I need to pay again. What !? Luckily the second receptionist took a more considerate approach and arranged for a visual inspection with the manager for a date that is more than 2 weeks later. By that appointment, it had been more than 6 weeks since I brought the car to the dealer to diagnose the noise problem for the first time; the noise had got so prominent that the manager only sat in my car for half a min before telling me to drive back to the dealership and the diagnosis was exactly what the private mechanic told me and yes it only took a simple road test! No apology, no gesture of good will (I was driving on a faulty part that could've resulted in some really bad situations!). I was simply given a list of exorbitantly priced repairs and dismissed. Well, I did not linger, drove my car at the slowest pace to the CT near my house and got it fixed for a fraction of the dealer price. You know what? I don't care what other may say about CT, because even their mechanic seem to be more knowledgeable and caring than some of the people in this dealership. This dealership won't get any more business from me for sure. YMMV but on my book it is crossed out. TBH, if it is possible to give no star or rotten egg ratings, I would not have given even the 1 star here. More

A WORST experience today leaving your car an hour prior to your appointment time at 9:15 am and yet full service was NOT done until I called up at 4 pm. My car was with them from opening to almost closing. I missed a very important engagement because of the incident. Called up several times seeking for help, explaining the urgency, stayed on hold for more than 25 minutes and was left unaided. Asked the Service Adviser, Sandeep for the poor service and he reasoned that they were busy which is an unacceptable excuse. Please DO NOT accept services which YOU cannot deliver! Never will I recommend Toyota on the Trail again to friends and family. More
