Worst experience EVER I don't normally write reviews but I was traumatized from the experience I had trying to purchase a vehicle with Tilbury, I'd like to divert anyone I I don't normally write reviews but I was traumatized from the experience I had trying to purchase a vehicle with Tilbury, I'd like to divert anyone I can from making a mistake with dealing with Tilbury. Most people these days use online reviews before deciding on where they go, so I hope this can help someone from making a mistake in choosing Tilbury Chrysler Dodge Jeep. I went in ready to purchase and already knew everything about the vehicle I wanted, and had found an ad online. Their offer was about average with other dealerships, but when I came in to test-drive, the car had 10, 000km more than what was advertised, the price had not dropped-was still the price of if it was a newer vehicle. The man trying to sell me the car made me EXTREMELY uncomfortable, some of how he was acting may have just been his own issues/personality, which isn't fair to attack. But he seemed VERY sketchy/edgy and was so pushy. I asked him a few questions about the car, I already knew the answer, but I like to ask to see what they say to me, tells me a lot about a persons character to see how they answer. He obviously didn't know and mumbled a bunch of non-sense and changed the topic. He then got angry and started to disagree and talk down to me about the knowledge I had about the vehicle, which is funny as I already own two models of that same vehicle, why on earth wouldn't I know its features? Twice he actual rolled his eyes at me and was being very obvious he was trying to state that he knew the vehicle and I didn't. But yet had no answer to its security features and how many speeds this particular vehicle had and even told me a few features I knew this particular year didn't have. Then he was pushing us inside to make a deal and I had already decided I wasn't happy with the situation, car wasn't as advertised and I had a salesman who was making me very uncomfortable. He wanted a trade with my car which I wasn't sure if I was willing to trade as I already had quite good offers on my vehicle. He gave me an absolutely ridiculous low offer for a trade, no one else in any dealership I had been to had even come close to such a low offer for trading. Finally I was ready to walk out as he was starting to make me mad as he started becoming extremely rude, he finally ripped the papers out of my hand and said good luck going somewhere else, I'd suggest you take a deal somewhere else if they are really offering you better than what I have, in a ridiculously snobby tone and he walked away. I'd like to thank him in a way as I made a terrific trade on my car, happy with its new home and the offer. I also got an AMAZING deal on a new vehicle, WAY less than what he wanted for an older vehicle with less features and more km's. I am so happy with the deal I got and the dealer I made the deal with was so professional, knowledgable and made me so comfortable. I would NEVER suggest anyone ever go to Tilbury. So be smart! Look around and trust your gut feeling. There are some dealers who have their cars way over priced and some that have such reasonable prices right off the bat….Research online as some of the ads are actually cheaper than posted online if you go to certain places and some, like Tilbury are more expensive and higher kms, less features than as advertised. If the dealer is down-playing your knowledge and giving you quite strange numbers and twisting things around, just walk! Its not worth it and other places can give you a much more comfortable environment….Tilbury doesn't carry the product nor the professional staff to even bother looking for a vehicle through them. More

While doing the paperwork they put another VIN # if you don't check carefully. They intentionally make this "mistake". You will be shocked when you pick up your car. Same colour,but totally different options. If you argue, they will tell you the car you tested never exists in the world implying that you had a dream. Then escalated to the manager.The manager knows everything but pretend to know nothing. Looks like they have been doing these scams for years and quite tactful on it. I will never visit them again and will share the story with everyone I know. More

In November, 2010, I had to have my battery replaced at Tilbury Chrysler. They soaked me for well over $200.00 and for the next 3 and 1/2 years I have experienced flashing lights through my dashboard and t Tilbury Chrysler. They soaked me for well over $200.00 and for the next 3 and 1/2 years I have experienced flashing lights through my dashboard and the service light coming on for no apparent reason. Then for the past two weeks I have had to use a battery charger at night to keep my car going until I could afford to have Joe`s Shell in Tilbury look at it. Unfortunately, my car conked out in the intersection of Kiel and Richmond in Chatham yesterday on the hottest day of the year. I had to have Joe`s Shell tow it back to Tilbury at a cost of $85 and to my amazement, they tell me that I have a faulty battery cable (which explains a lot of occurrences over the past 3 and 1/2 years with the flashing lights and weird service light). All in all, I had to pay $292.00 which includes the towing, new battery and battery cable which obviously should have been replaced back in November, 2010 when I got the new battery from Tilbury Chrysler dealership. If the mechanic had of been on the ball, he would have noticed that the battery cable needed replacing at that time so I wouldn`t have had to replace the battery again now after only 3 1/2 years. Joe`s Shell was wonderful, as usual, they dropped me off at home and then picked me up when the car was finished today. A turn around time of less than 24 hours. They offered to return the car late yesterday but I told them not to knock themselves out in this heat! I am very dissatisfied with the Tilbury Chrysler Dealership and their shawdy workmanship. Somebody needs a refresher course. A $20 battery cable would have been a whole lot cheaper to buy than replacing the battery and cable again now. Beware,Cannot Belive This People.Went To Buy New Jeep.Had Trade in .Was Told Trade In price $18000.Finshed And Signed Purchase Agreement To Find Out Trade Allowance Was only $12996 For 2007 Acadia SLe With O Trade in .Was Told Trade In price $18000.Finshed And Signed Purchase Agreement To Find Out Trade Allowance Was only $12996 For 2007 Acadia SLe With Only 88900 kms On it.Bought it for $24000.Went Back After 5 mins TO Ask What It Is.Threatend To Do Anything I can Do But Wont Cancel As I signed Agreement ,Which I Did On Good Faith.Anyway Wont Sit Quiet As Its My Hard Earned Money But Advice Other People To Watch Out. This dealership has gone down hill since we purchased our new Nytro in Dec 2006. They kiss your ass to get you in the door & buy a vehicle, and it's down hill after that with very poor service, helpfulness & new Nytro in Dec 2006. We've had many issues with our truck, mainly because the quality is horrible, and we have had even more horrible experiences with Tilbury & their service staff trying to get these issues fixed by them. Everything from waiting an additional 2 hours for an oil change because nobody told us our truck was outside & done for 2 hours, to flat out being ignored on a major electrical gremin that to this day is still not fixed & a very serious problem & a major safety concern. Just recently we were told they would fix rust under warranty (that was already fixed under warranty once before) & had we had lots of time to fix provided they got the approval from Chrysler Head office before warranty expired. When we came back in to get final pics for approvals, we were told NO, it had to be fixed before expiry date & they also went as far as telling us they did NOT say that... nice? My wife & I are very level headed people & we don't feel we are hard to deal with at all, we just expect the dealer to take care of problems that are their responsibility. In short, this place really sucks, we will NEVER return to buy another thing there, EVER!!! & we definitely do NOT recommend this dealer to anyone, not even our worst enemies! More
