customer service sucks When Lakehead Motors is mentioned the reaction I get from most people is to avoid them at all costs and only deal with them at last resort, because When Lakehead Motors is mentioned the reaction I get from most people is to avoid them at all costs and only deal with them at last resort, because of their very poor, almost non existent customer service , I knew of their poor reputation going in but decided to give them a try anyways. Initially the salesman Nick was very receptive and helpful in deciding on truck trim and engine specs, after not purchasing that initial day and kicking tires at other dealerships an offer was presented with all the options that we insisted on(at least that is what we were lead to believe) for a set price. After the set price was negotiated the salesmen informed me that the particular truck that I was to be purchasing had additional options that was not included in the initial price and that the new price would have to reflect the new options, I agreed to the new price because the options I could live with. A few times the salesman would state that he would call me back in 10-15 minutes but after waiting over an hour I had to track him down in order to have questions answered. After arranging to pick up the truck the following week (working around the salesman schedule due to month end ) I arrived at the dealership to sign the papers which took little time, after waiting nearly 2+ closer to 3 hours my truck showed up, no walk around was done we just went to the gas station to fuel up as previously negotiated and it was adios, prior to leaving I noticed that my spray in bedliner was not installed nor was the optional trailer hitch which was paid for, the salesman stated that he did not know that the options order had been received so he said he would make it up to me, so I headed the 3+ hours home with a new truck that did not have all the options that were paid for (one would figure that if a dealership knew that their customer was travelling 3+ hours to pickup a vehicle and having 5 days to make the vehicle ready that some effort would have been made???) Arrangements were made to leave my truck for 3 days to have the spray in liner and trailer hitch installed and free mudflaps installed due to my inconvenience? Nick stated that a rental vehicle would be provided but after getting him to double check it was clear one would not be provided, thus the added expense of driving 2 vehicles to the dealership on 2 occasions to pickup/dropoff my truck that was supposed to be ready to go on purchase day , Nick then called the house on day 1 of the 3 day vehicle prep telling me that the spray in liner was not what I paid for but it was the drop in liner and that it would be $300 extra for the spray in liner, Nick knew what I specifically wanted in terms of options and I was lead to believe that the price negotiated included the spray in liner but he told me that the invoice stated bedliner which was only a drop in, Nick was also to get a dent removed from the side which he stated he is sometimes made aware of in new vehicles leaving the lot as he does not inspect every new vehicle leaving the lot, Upon pickup of my truck it was noticed that the mudflaps that were promised were not installed nor was the dent removed, I lost 3 days use of my new vehicle and would lose more if I agreed to let them install a spray in liner but once again I was promised that it would be made up to me(after the broken promises and utter frustration with the lack of customer service and unprofessional ism experienced I passed on the spray in offer) I should have listened to the majority of people I spoke to regarding this dealership, the product is great but the promises are hollow, they are more concerned with selling you a vehicle and once hooked they seem to put customer service on the back burner as they busy pursuing another sale (Michele was very helpful and knowledgeable when it came to answering questions regarding engine specs and trim options) More
