At the t This dealership is full of games. I visited this dealership a couple of weeks ago and dealt with Alex Gravili to discuss purchase options. At the time, I wasn't sure whether I wanted to purchase an off-lease Outback or lease/purchase a new one. Alex was friendly, but a typical sales guy trying to get me into a new vehicle. He was very helpful in helping to explain the lease vs. purchase option on a new vehicle, but did not spend much time looking at an off-lease option. He basically told me that they rarely have them because most people buy them out and then focused back on getting me into a new vehicle. I came back the next day to test drive a 2018 Outback 3.6R and met Ash Ahmed. I took the vehicle out for a test drive and loved it. There was a lot of pressure to lease right then and there. I told Ash I would have to think about it as the trade-in value ($2500) they were offering on my car was very low. I went to the Nissan dealer a few doors down and was offered $6000 on a trade-in and since it was the same dealership group, the Nissan salesman could get the Outback for me. I went back to Ash with the offer that Nissan presented me with and Ash was more concerned about the sales guy undermining him than making a deal. He did bump up the offer to $4000 on the trade-in, but was unable to match what Nissan was offering. I told Ash exactly what I wanted between the trade-in, accessories, and the price on the new car. Ash asked me if I had an hour and a half while they put my trade-in up on an auction site. I agreed and took time away from work to try and make the deal happen. I genuinely thought he was trying to work with me and not just wasting my time. Now here's the part I really regret. Ash asked me for my credit card saying he wanted to show it to his GM to show him how serious I was about buying the car. There is absolutely no reason he should have needed my credit card. I was at the dealership in person and they had a copy of my driver's license from the test drive. Ash insisted he was following their "rule book" and that taking my credit card was nothing more than showing my interest in the vehicle. After an hour and a half, Ash returned to me saying that the auction received a quote for $2100 on my car so there was no way they could give me what I wanted to close the deal. Unfortunately, this dealership lost me with their dishonestly and lack of respect for my time. I gave them multiple opportunities to earn my business and they were only interested in playing games. I came on Dealer Rater and noticed their remarkably low rating. I reached out to Subaru of Mississauga and within half an hour of meeting with Darryl Monisse, I was signing the paperwork for my new car. More

So being retired I started looking into other brands: Toyota, Honda, Subaru and of course comparing to Ford. I must say that Hamilton Subaru did not seem to care for my business. I sat down with a sales rep and was shown his vehicle but not a new Forester. I then asked if it was possible to test drive a vehicle and with a little hesitation he said we could test drive his. So I made a appointment to test drive with my wife at 11:00am....we showed up at 10:38 (as I do not like to be late) and waited around. The sale rep appeared to be busy with another sales rep or sales manager at the time and I did not want to interrupt. I would of thought he may have an alert or reminder that I was coming for the test drive. We loitered around until 11:10 and during that time browsing other vehicles in the small show room not one person came to my wife or I and asked if they could help.....note there were not all busy. By far Hamilton Subaru has been my worst experience while visiting a car dealership. More

I contacted TJ the salesman and a couple of days later he got back to me. He said to bring it in so on the day I brought it in i drove 60 km there to get it fixed and 60 km back after they fixed it. I noticed the next day it was not fixed properly. In all fairness I took it to another Subaru dealer to see if it was fixed properly and they said it didn't sound like it was fixed properly and I let TJ the salesman know that. I contacted TJ again and he said to bring it in but before I brought it in another problem came up with the car and I let TJ know and he said they would fix both at the same time. Again I drove 60 km there dropped off the car and drove 60 km back and waited 5 days and then TJ drove my car back to my house after it was repaired....that was nice. The next day I noticed that the car still had both problems. I took a video tape of it and sent it to TJ and he said that when he drove it back it was fine and that it's fixed as good as it's going to get but that he did pass that on to the service department and I never heard nothing back. Now I'm just going to take it to Buds Subaru dealership and get it fixed at my expense....and to top it off 2 more issues have come up with the car since then. I told TJ in under three weeks I put more mileage and spend more on gas taking it into his dealership to get repaired then I have driving it at home and nothing was fixed properly. I would not recommend this dealership for the reasons of the service department the salesman and the owner. Just a fact they have a 10-day 1,000 km warranty on used vehicles most places have a 30-day 3000 km warranty on a used vehicle. I have sent an email to Subaru Canada and I'm waiting to hear back from them about what my experience was like with this dealership. I think the thing that surprised me the most was when TJ the salesman told me you can drive 20 Subarus and they all sound different but when he worked at Toyota if you drive 20 Toyotas they would all sound the same....and I thought that's the way it's supposed to be i think. I've been buying Subaru since 2001 and I think the quality has dropped off quite a bit so I think this will be my last one. More
Anything to avoid warranty and forget about a loaner vehicle I bought a warranty on my used vehicle - don't even bother! Some work on the vehicle has been covered (and they present that to you as "Aren't you so I bought a warranty on my used vehicle - don't even bother! Some work on the vehicle has been covered (and they present that to you as "Aren't you so lucky - it was covered" while other repairs have not. The warranty cost me $2800 and frankly I feel that I was taken to the cleaners. I might as well not have opted for that and saved myself some money. Also, they tell you when they sell you the vehicle that "Oh, we'll give you a loaner when you have your vehicle in for service" - xx!!!! I've had the vehicle in several times and live more than 30kms away so I need a loaner in order to get back and forth. NEVER have they provided that to me and when I ask about it the answer is always "I don't have any loaners available until three weeks from now". I'd like to know why? Are so many of these vehicles requiring repair that you're service department is inundated? Hmmm.... I will NEVER purchase another Subaru and at this point only wish to sell the one I've got and be done with them. More

Recall work Took my Impreza in for a recall notice -- Service guy took twice as long as it was supposed to, and came out with "three things that need to be fixed Took my Impreza in for a recall notice -- Service guy took twice as long as it was supposed to, and came out with "three things that need to be fixed really urgently, in fact, I don't recommend driving this vehicle unless they're done!". I thanked him and insisted on getting my car back. One of the "critical things" was the battery. I took the car home (driving fine) and tested the battery -- it read fine. To be extra sure, I took the car to my mechanic and told him the other items (radiator replacement, sway bar). My mechanic (for free) looked over the car and verified nothing wrong with anything. This was a while ago, but I now take my other Subarus to St. Catharines for warranty or recall... More
Have visited several times Each time I've been there, the sales people seem more interested in showing me anything that might get me to buy -- desperately so. I've left info on Each time I've been there, the sales people seem more interested in showing me anything that might get me to buy -- desperately so. I've left info on what I've been looking for (twice) and never called (hard to believe they don't ever get any 2011-2013 Outback's traded in). Dealer also has a habit of leaving cars up on AutoTrader after they're sold in order to get more foot traffic. More
Chaotic, poor service I went in to inquire about Subarus and was assigned to a salesperson. When I asked him about the fuel efficiency of a specific vehicle he left to ask I went in to inquire about Subarus and was assigned to a salesperson. When I asked him about the fuel efficiency of a specific vehicle he left to ask a co-worker for the answer and instead of returning to tell me he then started talking t other customers. So I asked a different salesperson my question and he looked it up. When the first salesperson saw me talking to the second salesperson he made a disappointed face at me. Neither of the two salespeople I interacted with seemed to know about their products. More
