Finally Bought New! Best Choice Ever My sixth vehicle was a 96 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie 2 door with 260000 km's on it. I had out of province plates and needed an Alberta safety for me to co My sixth vehicle was a 96 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie 2 door with 260000 km's on it. I had out of province plates and needed an Alberta safety for me to continue legally driving. BTW, the safety costs around 240$ for them to do a 121 point inspection on everything from a crack in the windshield to the smallest leak. The question was "am I going to sink thousands more into my old baby?" After much research and weighing pros/cons, I decided to check into a brand new vehicle. I heard the classic "don't buy new" from friends and family, who had ultimately never bought new themselves. After calling St Albert dodge and speaking with John Smith I was able to do an immediate credit check and line up a visit to check out a truck I didn't think was even in my price range due to potential high interest. I walked into the dealership and expected to be hounded by staff trying to sell me anything they could to make commission which did not happen. I was greeted by John, who got right down to business and started doing everything he could to help me out keeping in mind I had to stay firm to my budget. I was able to plea my financial case with the main man Ravi (who John had to run everything through) and was able to lock into a great and feasible payment plan with low interest with the help of the financial team. I had a great experience as a first time new buyer with the help of the staff at St. Albert Dodge. I consider them to be one of the most professional establishments I have ever done business with as far as the way things are run. I have recommended them to family and friends and am proud to be the owner of a brand new truck that is 20 years newer than my old baby.
