Awful manufacturer, service department, and dealership group. There are multiple current class-action lawsuits against Hyundai (and Kia - same parent company) Canada for selling defective vehicles. Expect to replace your engine at 120,000 kms for $10,000. The service advisor Jenn is rude, argumentative and does not communicate or act in a timely fashion. We waited five weeks for an answer on a repair. Not for the repair or parts. Just for the answer. Their service department also took the vehicle off site to a third party shop without authorization, and would have left my family stranded for a long weekend. To top that off, the check engine light was on when it was returned (but not when it was dropped off), and they peeled some of the 3M coating. GoAuto will absolutely gouge you on “mandatory” upgrades for new vehicles - dealer prices on 3M & undercoating are more than 2x as expensive than reputable 3rd party shops charge. $7,000+ over sticker price tacked onto the vehicle. GoAuto? Go elsewhere! More
Poor communication, manager insulted us, sent wrong bill of sale including name, address and prices. This is the kinda dealer like so many in this province. Big promises and nothing coming out of it. This is a place where you never want to buy a used or new vehicle. One day inspection is all good the next one 3000 km later out of schedule for warranty work you got service work for over 2000 dollars and parts need to be replaced. Rude unprofessional unqualified Jenifer brown wants to be a service advisor but could not staple a couple sheets if she had too, or determine a problem and hand over the right paperwork to the customer, instead she tells the customer to shut up and listen and it goes only her way, no matter what. The useless managers over there don't come back at all. This place is the biggest money gangster grab I have ever seen in Canada in a car dealership. Money for this ,money for that , oh this is all of a sudden damaged and that you need to pay up. If you have warranty or extra warranty won't matter to this place , they will if they can Ripp your money out of your pockets no matter what. Most useless unprofessional untrained unqualified place I have seen in my life. And I have to say since my vehicle went there , it seems to me that there are more and more problems showing since this dealership is looking or should I say is trying to look after people's vehicles. My business you guys have lost and I hope many people following not using your place, building a new place does not help the attitude and unqualified unprofessional untrained people working there to make it a better customer experience. You guys should probably just look the doors and keep it that way. I had to let the service advisor know if she is not letting go of me I have to report her to EPS, because she still called me in the evening even after I told her via text multiple times to not contact me again anymore. She was pretty mad and that is probably why she did not give me the necessary paperwork to proceed. I should report this place to AMVIC. It's been two months our car is sitting in their service center for some repairs but they(Jennifer from the setvice department)are making excuses every week . On the top when my husband called them to ask how long it's gonna take for my vehicle to get all things done then Jennifer was so rude to him and said m going on vacation like if that's gonna stop whole service center from working. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! ! My two initial regrets are; Firstly,.... I didn't read the reviews before I decided to go to Southtown Hyundai. Secondly ..... That there is no rat ! My two initial regrets are; Firstly,.... I didn't read the reviews before I decided to go to Southtown Hyundai. Secondly ..... That there is no rating lower than one star. After buying several new vehicles over the years and experiencing service between good and excellent it certainly was an awakening how bad and how untrustworthy a dealer can be.In July 2021 I wanted a small truck and after much research the new Santa Cruz was the one I chose. I truly really like the truck so far but not the people I bought it from. The truck being a new product to Hyundai's line up was not yet but soon to be available. On that note I made a visit to Southtown Hyundai to see if they had more information and I was directed to a salesperson (Mandy) and after some discussion she printed off the 2022 Santa Cruz Product guide for me and quoted a price of between $35 - $45,000 depending on the trim level chosen and she gave me a delivery in August or September. In the next day or two I put this vehicle on order with the top trim level ($45,000) and my chosen colour and gave them a $500 good faith deposit.The Vehicle didn't arrive until December 23, 2021 which I don't fault Southtown for as all manufactures were experiencing delivery problems due to a chip shortage. I arrived at Southtown to finalize the deal and drive away with my shiny new truck. And then I was hit between the eyes, they now wanted $55,000 for the vehicle, more than 20% higher than I was first told. Needless to say I xxxx near s**t myself, I told them and showed them the price I had from Mandy in July and their response was that she had no right giving me that price as it was wrong. My response was that was more of their problem than it was of mine and they should call Mandy out here to question and verify. They said she no longer worked there, how convenient and they would not honour that quote. As I still wanted the vehicle I grudgingly agreed to $51,000 (still a rip off) and they agreed to throw in a "winter package" which consisted of three items and of which I had to repeatedly hound them for and to this date I still have not received one of the items. Each and every time I phoned or messaged I was put on to somebody else and each time they had no idea what I was talking about but said they would take care of it but it never happened. With this company literally the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. I find it totally incomprehensible that neither Hyundai or Go Auto would tolerate such unprofessionalism. the only silver lining in this debacle was the salesman Wade Romanick who's tried to do his best but it was obvious his hands were tied by company policy. I have zero faith or trust in this company especially after reading other reviews and i will search for another Hyundai dealership to handle my needs. Life is too short and I strongly recommend not dealing with this Southtown Hyundai. More
