The only business they had was to do inspect the fuel pump flange. I received a phone call saying that my brakes are almost worn off even though the light has not come on yet. They wanted to know if I wanted to get the brakes replaced with the same visit. This is income generation on their part. A friend of mine had the same phone call from them a little over a year ago. He also declined the offer to have the brakes replaced. His maintenance plan also expired so it would have been an out of pocket expense. A few months later he took his vehicle to EC motors because his climate control's fan had some issues. Audi quoted some ludicrous amount to fix it so that's why he took it to EC motors. They fixed the problem at a fraction of the price that Audi quoted. He also had his brakes inspected and EC motors told him that he still had plenty of use left on his current brakes and there was no need to replace it yet. He is still driving with the same brakes, more than a year later. This tells me only one thing - they are either trying to generate income by looking for stuff to do/replace or Audi has such high standards that they replace parts long before they really need replacement. You decide for yourself. I'll wait for my warning light to go on, I assume they put it there for a reason. Otherwise I've been happy with them. More

Misleading and waste of time I have been looking buy a 2012 or 2013 Audi A6 with the S line package for a while and i have been looking across Canada. I contracted south gate audi regarding a 2012 audi A6 that they had listed for just below $36000. I was speaking to Alexander through text message. He told me the car had been sitting on the lot since mid June. I gave him an offer of $31,300 and was expecting a counter offer. The ad had clearly stated the car is certified pre-owned and in the description at the bottom it said its qualifies as certified pre-owned. Turns out that the CPO is extra. Alexander sent me a quote that included $2700 for certified pre owned, $1500 for full 3m package that was already on the car $300 for basic smart program as well as $300 for audi anti-theft. the price was $41,285 before taxes. So that $36000 doesn't mean anything? Alexander asked for my information, wasted my time where we could have just told me the price is not negotiable and furthermore the car has accessories added that i must pay for. Go to a different dealership if you are looking for professionals who are knowledgeable, provide unparalleled customer service and genuinely value your business. Southgate Audi claim to be product experts who provide excellent customer service, but that was certainly not what I experienced. Staff were not responsive and I had to wait days for replies as well as follow up multiple times. Both Finance and Sales staff had limited (and at times inaccurate) knowledge, did not meet promises and did not treat me as a priority. On delivery day the financials did not match what was previously agreed to and Finance staff struggled to correct their errors. Sales staff were more than half an hour late for my delivery appointment and then when the salesperson was finally about to run through my vehicle with me, he left without explanation to speak to a customer who had just walked in to reception. He then walked out of the dealership with the other customer leaving me waiting yet again. After a manager went to get him, the salesperson rushed through delivery, skipping over things, demonstrating limited product knowledge and generally doing a shoddy job orienting me to my new vehicle. My business clearly was not valued and there was zero follow up after the sale. I provided feedback to the dealership about the whole appalling experience afterwards via email; however, my email was never responded to because it was forwarded to a sales manager who had taken a few days off and apparently at Southgate Audi it is acceptable to fail to read and respond to emails upon your return. I only heard from a manager once I provided abysmal ratings in the corporate Audi Canada survey and the response actually made things worse. The manager was disingenuous about the whole process of making amends. He never bothered to listen to my concerns, at no point genuinely apologized and did not offer anything remotely appropriate to make up for the consistently poor service I received. (FYI Audi customers your business and good word of mouth are apparently only worth a $1000 discount on an extended warranty, which by the way would require further investment of your own money into their incapable dealership to make up the difference in the warranty price. And did I mention that was their best offer after negotiations? Their opening offer was only to detail my car at some point.) Southgate Audi clearly has no interest in acknowledging or responding to its customer's legitimate concerns. Southgate Audi appears to treat its customers as an inconvenience after they have agreed to purchase, rather than treating them as valuable assets who keep them in business. I recommend buying from another dealership if you expect to be treated well and want to deal with a business where your purchase actually matters to them. More
