How can loose nuts in a door just be random extra parts. It should be from somewhere and get fixed under the full warranty. If this place had any integrity they would at least warn us about the charge. It should be our choice to fix something like that not. Next time i'll drive to the other side of the city to use our original dealership. More
Awful experiences over the last few years I am not one to post reviews however I'm feeling very taken advantage of after spending a great deal of money at South Pointe Toyota. We have had awf I am not one to post reviews however I'm feeling very taken advantage of after spending a great deal of money at South Pointe Toyota. We have had awful service from South Pointe Toyota in the last 3 years. We first purchased a new 2012 Rav 4 and aside from one rude staff member (who I now see is a manager of some sort), we had a great experience. Due to this experience, we went back to trade the Rav in for a new 2015 Toyota Sienna SE. They sold us the show room model as that one had the tech packages etc that we were looking for. This didn't raise any flags as they do a "pre-sale inspection". We got the vehicle home and slowly noticed a number of things missing or wrong; 1) I had 2 VERY different coloured rims- I am sure that they used one off the show room model when they didn't have stock. 2) the headphones that are part of a pricey technology package were missing. They had none so we waited almost 2 months for my kids to be able to use the tv we paid for. 3) there were no mats in the vehicle, only the carpet. Again, I had to go in twice to get the right ones and they shorted me upon trying to correct it. 4) while sitting in the show room, they must have activated the trial for satellite radio so it had run out. When we asked about it, they simply told us to call and renew... the radio is not a big deal but again, as part of the technology package, they provide you with a free three month trial which we never got. It took us almost two months and a number of one-hour drives to get a very expensive brand new van up to truly being complete and brand new. I'm sure parts were being borrowed from the showroom vehicle the whole time it was sitting there. Lesson 1- don't buy from the showroom.... After this, we only returned when we had to- this has been 3 times and two of these visits were negative. We have had our vehicle sit in the service department twice for hours before they called to refuse to complete the service. Once they told us there was too much mud underneath and that my husband had to get it off before they completed the service. My husband got it up on the hoist and using a regular hose, it took him a total of 5 minutes as there was next to nothing there. I can't think that most people wash the underneath of their vehicles before getting a service... the second time (today), I took an unpaid day from work to have a recall done. Upon booking, they stated that it would be a full day appointment and asked that any toys, items etc be removed from the vehicle, which I did. Upon arriving, they confirmed and I stated I had taken everything out but didn't vacuum. There were NO concerns raised. After my van had been there for 2.5 hours, I received a call from the service department stating that crumbs on the floor could interfere with the repair and that they would not repair the vehicle. I have a number of issues with this- upon booking, I was told to remove items from the vehicle. I did. I was not told that my van had to be spotless, they just didn't want to love a bunch of stuff to access the floor. I took a day off so that the vehicle could be fixed. Upon arriving, they looked in the vehicle and confirmed that I had removed everything. They confirmed again at the desk and I stated that I had done everything but vacuum. Had they told me at the time that the vehicle had to be vacuumed, I could have run it to a car wash and brought it back 20 minutes later. Instead, they sent me on my way and wasted half of my day before calling to refuse to complete the service- my thoughts? They finally got to it after 2.5 hours and were busy. It was a full day service and they no longer had the time. If crumbs were that big of a deal, this would have been mentioned when I said I didn't vacuum. Update: an hour later, the manager called and assured me that the service would be completed. He was very pleasant to deal with and patient with my frustration. If I could review him personally, my feelings would be very different. This being said, had I not escalated to a manager, I am sure that the safety recall would not have been completed as I was told I could pick my vehicle up. Thankfully this was done in the end and I don't have to take another day off but I don't believe good auto service requires you to dig your heels in to have mandatory safety recall services provided. Growing up with Toyota and owning nothing else myself, I have always been happy to spend the extra money for the service and the quality. I could have paid far less for an American made vehicle and in the future, that will be the route I take. This service combined with being sold an incomplete, very pricey vehicle does NOT add up with the extra you pay. Stay away from this dealership at least! More

A completely different and positive experience. I recently heard about special promotion at this dealership. I previously had not so nice experiences with a dealership in SW and out of town. But a f I recently heard about special promotion at this dealership. I previously had not so nice experiences with a dealership in SW and out of town. But a friend of mine bought a car from here and he gave good recommendation. So I went there reluctantly. All over, it was a very pleasing experience. Their sales rep named Mike Popovic (they have about five Mikes) is a gem of human beings. I dealt with (I guess one of owners) Brian who is super good too and with Dean Oancia who again is very very helpful. I got fair price for my Hyundai Santa Fe and a good deal but overall, this experience changed my view about car deaerships. Please see Mike if you want a good sales experience. No pushing and all promises kept. The ambience in dealership is also very nice. My other ride is a luxury German but this Toyota delaership quite compares to the luxury delaers in terms of amenities and customer comfort. Most importantly, all the people I delat with here were very nice. I usually do not spend time writing reviews but I thought these folks deserve this. More
CROOKS, Dealership lies, you are dirt Put a deposit on a vehicle, after letting the car go to another customer, dealership is withholding my $500. After about 2 weeks of sending emails and phone calls, I finally got a response. Good start, South Pointe, I see you really understand marketing...Managers do not respond (Corey Fudge and Todd Dunbar), go straight to upper management. The sales team and receptionist answers the phone, but good luck getting hold of someone, let alone any customer service. BUYER BEWARE, AVOID THESE CROOKS. More

South Pointe Toyota is a rip off . I have been doing my regular maintenance at south pointe toyota assuming that they are doing a good service and never checked fluids in my car myse . I have been doing my regular maintenance at south pointe toyota assuming that they are doing a good service and never checked fluids in my car myself. After I had them changed transmission fluid on my car, I checked after few months the color of transmission fluid should have been blood red but it was blackish brown. I asked them, they said it is supposed to change color and its okay to be dark brown. I thought may be toyota transmission fluid changed color quickly but.. One other day I had them replaced engine oil on my other car with regular maintenance and they never topped up brake fluid on my car. Since I knew DIY and have done in the past, I decided to do the regular maintenance on my car myself. And next time I replace oil and transmission fluid myself but u know what only 2 liter of dirty engine oil came out. What does this mean were they putting less oil in my engine, instead of 4.5 lire only 2 liter, first I though that my car is burning oil but next change I replaced little more than 4 liter dirty oil came out. And also after I drain and replaced transmission fluid couple of times on my car myself, it is now blood red. Were they deliberately putting less engine oil, charging for transmission fluid but not replacing it. Has this happened to someone else or is it just me? I would never go south pointe toyota again , if I go some other dealership for service but will crosscheck everything myself to make sure . More
