Was just inquiring about the price of an vehicle, but the sales guy jumped into a full-on deal mode, Went back and forth OVER 20 TIMES trying to close the deal. He got my credit card info, ran a credit check, and offered a "great deal" - but NOTHING was on paper. Promised free winter tires, but I had to settle for a different color. I Paid deposit by just blindly believing their words. BUT when it was time to pick up the vehicle... Showing up with WHITE COLOR and NO WINTER TIRES I was DEVASTATED, Said they'd only give me the white color, and if I didn't want it, 20+ people were waiting 😤 Manager had ZERO courtesy at all. MORAL: *DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP* Every word is a scam Save yourself the headache! *Details:* - Sales guy pushed for a deal aggressively - No paperwork, verbal promises only - No winter tires, color changed at delivery - Poor customer service. Most dishonest Toyota dealer in Canada. I put a deposit to buy a Toyota grand highlander with them 2 years ago and did not get a delivery time after 2 years putting down a deposit. they pr I put a deposit to buy a Toyota grand highlander with them 2 years ago and did not get a delivery time after 2 years putting down a deposit. they probably sold it for higher price to some one else. Constant lying by sales manager Howard and salesman Alex.. The sales man is worst I have seen. He lacks knowledge and professionalism. I called owner many times but he didn’t answer my calls. More
I purchased my second 4Runner through Kevin at South Pointe. Overall, the folks there are very customer focused, so definitely met my expectations. Found Kevin engaging and very helpful and could explain what we were interested in knowing about the car. Took extra time to show us the features of the car. Would definitely go to him and would recommend what we were interested in knowing about the car. Took extra time to show us the features of the car. Shortly after a routine service at South Pointe Toyota, one of my wheels completely detached while driving. They said it was because I didn’t come back for a re-torque, but I was never verbally informed t one of my wheels completely detached while driving. They said it was because I didn’t come back for a re-torque, but I was never verbally informed that a re-torque was required — it was only mentioned in fine print on the invoice. In my nine years of Toyota service, I have never once been told about this. I would be very interested to hear if others have had similar experiences. More
This is a warning to anyone buying a new Toyota, specifically dealing with this dealership, it's service manager Micheal Menear, and it's GM Brian Schimidt, and also Toyota Canada. In the interest specifically dealing with this dealership, it's service manager Micheal Menear, and it's GM Brian Schimidt, and also Toyota Canada. In the interest of keeping this short as possible some minor details will have to be left out, but here is the jest of it. Don't think you will have warranty just because that was promised with the new car sale, my partner a first time car buyer, and new driver purchased a 2022 RAV4 with a weak functioning A/C system. With only 24k km's on it (a cool fall and winter made it not so noticeable at first) and less than a year in they went to get it checked. This dealership said it was overfilled (explains the weak performance as overfilled it will not work properly) and did a simple A/C service of a recovery and recharge, and it worked perfectly. Great except a bill for $427.30 was presented as the only option to get the vehicle back?!? They paid not knowing better and then when I found this out I went to rectify this as it should have been warranty. To sum it up the absolute incompetence and xxxx poor customer service was absurd! Months and many dozens of phone calls to essentially be told to screw off it isn't their problem. Toyota Canada was called with also complete incompetence and lack of proper protocol. Eventually CAMVAP had to arbitrate this issue with a ruling in our favour (of course) and the money was returned, no sorry no xxxx off, nothing from this dealership about the lies, hassle, and lack of customer service at all, except for unkept promises of some store credit to make up for it and the GM fluffing stuff about looking into this more but with not even a return call ever! So think twice if you own a under warranty Toyota and think they will have your back when an issue needs dealt with. Stand your ground get mechanics to go to bat for you or a lawyer and don't let them bully you. More

Will not refund deposit and cannot factory order! I had previously purchased two trucks from South Pointe, but this was before Rishi worked there. In my opinion, one might want to look at older I had previously purchased two trucks from South Pointe, but this was before Rishi worked there. In my opinion, one might want to look at older positive reviews of this dealership with a grain of salt. The following occurred June, 2025: I spent hours working with the sales rep. to build my dream truck. I paid $1000 for a deposit for a factory ordered 2025 Tundra Lunar SR5 TRD with Tow mirrors (can only be installed at factory) Rishi, sales manager, gave me a form to sign which stated “factory order/source”. Rishi assured me this was needed to order my dream truck. I get a call Monday and they found a truck “similar” to the one I wanted. It did not have tow mirrors (only installed at factory). It then came out that South Pointe cannot factory order, and they fulfilled their obligation by sourcing something “similar”. Rishi screwed his own dealership over and ordered anyways thinking he can always use my deposit to pay for the sourcing. I do not want that truck, nor will I be told I have to take whatever truck they source. Similar is not the same. I have now spoken to Brian Schmidt, minor owner and Director, and General Manager Todd. No one seems to care (probably because Rishi’s ego cost them $1000) In the words of the immortal Charles Bronson, this ain’t over… More
Placed a deposit in 2023 for a vehicle. Salesperson explained verbally that given the wait time (2+ years) they couldn’t guarantee a price then but it would be MSRP plus the standard dealer Salesperson explained verbally that given the wait time (2+ years) they couldn’t guarantee a price then but it would be MSRP plus the standard dealer fees. Made sense to me and we agreed and paid the deposit. Fast forward to 2025, we get a call that our vehicle is finally in. Got to the dealership, had a chance to look at the vehicle, and we’re excited that the wait was finally over. Went to the finance manager’s office and he printed the invoice… surprise, the final bill is 10% more than the all in price on Toyota.ca. Questioned them on this and they went back “to their manager”. At this point, it was obvious we were in the process of being messed around with. Salesperson came back with a new price, still around 5% above Toyota.ca and claimed that I had agreed to this markup back in 2023 (the paperwork showed a “placeholder” price of $55k in 2023, and a quick google search shows MSRP was $54k+ at that time, so basically bang on MSRP). If that was truly the intent, wouldn’t we have written MSRP + $x on the original document? I was done being played for a fool, so asked for my deposit back and left. Pretty unbelievable to hold someone’s money for 2 years and then try to screw them over. Pure greed and lack of integrity. More
