They had a promo scratch and win, which I was to receive a $25.00 gas card, but the fine print stated with test drive. They called me wothin minutes of me scatching the prize on line to set up the test driv a $25.00 gas card, but the fine print stated with test drive. They called me wothin minutes of me scatching the prize on line to set up the test drive. It was all set and after the test drive Terry said oh sorry we have none. This was over two weeks ago and not one word from them regarding the gift card and Terry made no reassurance of receiving one. I guess I should not agreed to the test drive unless I received the gas first. They did not make any effort to keep their part of the agreement nor did they give me a date of receiving one, should I hold my breath? Think not and do not plan on doing business in the future as all their promises were broken. More
I purchased a new Elantra from Sherwood Hyundai. Dealing with Michelle was a treat. Michelle listened to what I wanted, and passed me on to Nate for any questions she was not able to answer. From making t with Michelle was a treat. Michelle listened to what I wanted, and passed me on to Nate for any questions she was not able to answer. From making the deal and dealing with Ashley in finance to Kendall in service was easy, and all the staff was very helpful and informative. A real treat to deal with Sherwood Hyundai, and this is the third vehicle I have purchased from them, with no concerns. More

January 2014: My wife and I visited the Sherwood Park Hyundai dealership, hoping to take a look at a selection of pre-owned Santa Fe's. We were introduced to Savin Kim who immediately asked us what we we Hyundai dealership, hoping to take a look at a selection of pre-owned Santa Fe's. We were introduced to Savin Kim who immediately asked us what we were looking for and how much we wanted to spend. Our response was that we wanted a pre-owned Santa Fe, and that our budget (all in - taxes, and fees) was $18,000. He proceeded to show us a beautiful 2010 Santa Fe AWD Sport, though refused to tell us how much it was. We test drove it, asking repeatedly how much the vehicle would cost...Savin's response was always, "We can work it out". We returned to the sales office and Savin finally revealed how much the dealership was asking for the vehicle: $22,900 plus taxes and fees. Our response to this was simply that we were not here to negotiate, and would only pay $18,000 all in, or he could show us another vehicle. After hours of waiting while he went back and forth with the manager, his supervisor came in to talk with us. We went back and forth, not budging from our initial budget. They kept showing us how the payments fell within our monthly budget, but that was completely separate from the overall cost. Finally, the manager (Nate) literally threw his pen across the desk at us and said, "Fine, I'm not going to lose your business over this" and agreed to $18,500. When we asked if that was taxes and fees in, he rolled his eyes and said that it absolutely did not. Although we were astounded by the rudeness of the manager, we loved the car and put a deposit down to hold it for a day (which we were assured was refundable). After thinking through our experience with the rude and unprofessional staff, and our desire to remain within our original budget, we returned the next day to pass on the vehicle and collect our deposit. A second manager who "can do things others can't do" took us into an office. He (Josh) was friendly and helpful, and eventually (after hours) dropped the price to $18,300 taxes and fees in. This was a deal that we could agree to and signed the bill of sale. We returned the following day to pick up the vehicle and sign financing papers, which we were told would only take a few minutes, and spent the next two hours waiting around until the finance office finally saw us. None of the information that Josh gave us was recorded and Ashley said that what we were saying didn't make sense. We had to insist that she go talk to him about the price and warranty coverage that Josh promised us, which she eventually did and found out we weren't lying. We declined the warranty and protection packages, which led to another woman coming into the office to talk to us. We had to tell her (can't remember her name) repeatedly that we didn't want the warranties, which she said was "weird". We indicated that this offended us and she made no effort to apologize. To top it all off, when she found out where my wife works, she took up 10 minutes of our time telling us how awful my wife's company is. We were so stunned, we had no reply. FINALLY, after hours of waiting, we received the keys to our car. In all those hours, they didn't replace the broken windshield and did a poor job cleaning the car. We will not be back to this dealership. We will never recommend this dealership to friends. I will remove the license plate cover that advertises their name as I do not want to be a rolling billboard for such a rude, unprofessional dealer. More
This was the worst experience I have ever had anywhere, hands down. The quoted price changed when we were ready to sign the papers. They also insisted we wanted a 2013 SantaFe after we test drove a 2014. U hands down. The quoted price changed when we were ready to sign the papers. They also insisted we wanted a 2013 SantaFe after we test drove a 2014. Um what? We had put down a deposit so they would bring in a vehicle for us to look at. We then asked for a refund because another dealer offered a better price, not to mention a decent service experience. They refused to refund us after saying we could have a refund if we asked. So we then had to dispute the.charge with our credit.card company. Do NOT GO anywhere near this place. They are a bunch of crooks and.they know it. More
On 27 Dec, I visited Sherwood Park Hyundai to have service completed on my 2012 Hyundai SantaFe. I had purchased my SantaFe from another dealership located in Edmonton. As I relocated since purchase I service completed on my 2012 Hyundai SantaFe. I had purchased my SantaFe from another dealership located in Edmonton. As I relocated since purchase I needed a new dealership to complete the warranty work. When I arrived on the 27th to pick up my vehicle, I was told that my keys were with the sales rep (Savin Kim) and that I would have to retrieve them from him. After having to sit down with the sales rep, Savin proceeded to sell me a 2013 Hyundai SantaFe. As a current owner of a previous generation SantaFe, I was curious about the differences in the vehicles. We talked about the purchase of a new vehicle and what the pricing would be. Savin and Terry used extremely shady and misleading sales tactics to present the car cost in terms of monthly payments. Despite my repeated requests to show me the actual numbers for the purchase price. At this point I had already spent 2 additional hours on the sales floor when I only wanted to pick up my car from service. I still did not have any hard numbers of the price of the car they were trying to sell me. After pushing back against the deal and the fact that they wouldn't show me any actual numbers or a price on a 2014 model year, we agreed, in writing on the paper they used to draft the payment amounts, that I would have 48 hours to check out the vehicle and decide if I wanted to buy. They then asked me for a deposit to test drive the vehicle over night, after initially refusing numerous times and eventually, after explicitly confirming with Savin that the deposit was for indeed for the test drive of the car, would be refundable after, and was NOT for the purchase of the vehicle; I left one. I then had to deal with the finance department before being able to leave with the vehicle. It was at this point they presented the sales contract with the actual numbers of the sale. I refused to sign initially, as If I was going to buy anything, I was more interested in pricing on a 2014 and not a 2013. Again, I only wanted to see the numbers and check out the vehicle. Ashley proceeded to tell me that this was all a formality and mislead me into signing the paperwork to leave with the vehicle to test drive. I should have left well before this point, but being tired and misled by the staff I simply wanted to leave the dealership. After this was done, I was able to leave the dealership in a 2013 Santa Fe Sport over night. It was also at this time I had seen the actual sales price of the vehicle for the first time. I checked out the car over night and although it was nice and a definite change from my 2012 model year, I decided I preferred the features present in my current car over the new model year. Not to mention the outrageous price they wanted for the 2013 that didn't make any financial sense whatsoever, and also did not align with the payment amount they previously said it would be, I proceeded to bring the test drive vehicle back to the dealership and have my deposit refunded. I had already wasted so much time here, just trying to find out more about the new models and if they would be a good fit. Even though I had no intentions whatsoever to initially purchase a vehicle and was only in sales because my keys were still being held by them. Needless to say once returning the vehicle, they refused to return my deposit. Terry Diachuk then proceeded to get aggressive and attempt to save the deal that I had initially ensured had 48 hours to test drive the vehicle. I refused and simply wanted my keys and my deposit back. They refused, stating that Josh Dally was the only one authorized to return my deposit and I would have to visit him again the next day. As I was already out a tremendous amount of time on this already, I refused. I advised them that without returning the deposit I left to test drive the vehicle, I would be unable to return the keys for the vehicle I test drove. I advised Terry that once my deposit was returned, the keys would promptly be returned. Seeming I had already paid for them with my deposit, and their refusal to return my deposit; I needed leverage and proof that I had indeed left the deposit to test drive said vehicle. Savin then promptly returned the keys to my vehicle. I was then threatened numerous times by the staff in the dealership and by Savin and Terry that they would be calling the RCMP and charging me with theft. It was at this time I proceeded to walk out of the dealership. As I was the only customer on the sales floor at the time, they proceeded to shout vulgarities at me as I left. Including F you numerous times, which can be heard on the audio recordings I have of the encounters. On 31 Dec, Josh Dally called and left a message asking for a return call. I tried to contact him less than an hour after he initially called and was told he was busy and would return my call. I am still yet to receive a phone call back or my deposit released. Although, Josh being the Sales Director, surely the outrageous sales tactics they use to sell cars are a direct result of Josh's direction and leadership. On 08 Jan Josh called and asked how he could return my payment; he still has yet to actually do so. Please, I beg of you, DO NOT USE OR VISIT SHERWOOD PARK HYUNDAI. Stay away, go anywhere else. Read all the other reviews for more context. The only way to ensure they don't mislead anyone else, is to avoid them completely and let them close. I recommend West End Hyundai, although they have their share of issues according to public reviews, they have always treated me and my family fairly and with respect at all times. Hyundai makes good vehicles and Sherwood Park Hyundai is not worthy of using the Hyundai brand name in anyway shape or form; which I intend to notify Hyundai of via a separate letter. SHERWOOD PARK HYUNDAI ARE CROOKS. Plain and simple. Get a fair deal somewhere else and don't allow Sherwood Park Hyundai to mislead you away from or into buying a Hyundai for more than you should. Since I purchased my new Hyundai Accent 5 door fully equipped 4 cylinder model in Dec. 2012 I am using too much fuel. The flyer states a combined fuel usage of 6.1. I drive mostly highway ( 90%) and hav equipped 4 cylinder model in Dec. 2012 I am using too much fuel. The flyer states a combined fuel usage of 6.1. I drive mostly highway ( 90%) and have proven to Sherwood Park Hyundai that I barely get 14.6 Ltr per 100 Km. Are they doing anything about it, nope, and yet I've kept records showing them and Hyundai Canada that in fact that is the consumption rate. What a lemon and their attitude is " We didn't build the car, we just sell them " . Last fill-up cost me $37.00 and I traveled a whooping 347.7 Km, go figure huh. More
