When they say Buyer Beware, this place takes the cake! To this request, the sales person, upon direction from his supervisor, said that they have a Subaru specialist on staff that will do the proper mechanical inspection that we requested with descriptive details of what has been done recently and what we would need to look at in the future such as DTC trouble codes. The reason that we asked for such an in depth inspection is to avoid future break downs and costly repairs. We just wanted to buy a vehicle and have everything fixed on it before we started driving it knowing that it was a used high mileage vehicle. If we would have had the proper inspection that we asked for, most of our issues would have presented themselves before purchase. The sales team did everything that they could to convince us to forgo a further mechanical inspection of the vehicle to which we wish we noticed upon purchase. The day after purchase, the tailgate was not opening, the hill assist wasn’t working, the windshield wiper fluid wouldn’t spray and there was as smell showing a clutch that is going. This was brought to the attention of the dealership to which they agreed to look at it. Before we were able to take it in for these reasons, the vehicle lost wheel alignment and cancelled the abs breaks, causing the car to slide into a post while entering traffic. It ripped a chunk out of the front fender and bumper. The incident caused multiple engine codes that also cancelled the cruise control which led us to take it to a shop to get the codes fixed, not knowing what caused them. They discovered the vehicle lost wheel alignment because of severe misalignment on the front wheels which disabled all vehicle driver safety functions including back up assist and lane monitoring. The mechanics discovered multiple engine codes to do with cylinder misfire, fuel system comprehensive components (egr/vvt), catalyst, evaporative system, oxygen sensor, and oxygen heater to which we were dumbfounded by. It was not supposed to have all of these codes. After sending multiple e-mails, Sherwood Park Hyundai agreed to take the vehicle in and address all of the concerns in the e-mails and fix everything that is wrong with the car. They claimed to have done the clutch, tailgate motor and windshield washer fluid line with an extensive check through the vehicle to make sure there was nothing left. There is no evidence that the clutch was actually changed and the tailgate is still malfunctioning. Upon receiving the vehicle after these repairs were done, we found three vacuum lines that were left disconnected and many loose panel screws. Five days after having it back, multiple codes returned and the vehicle would not exceed 100 km/hour in spite all of our efforts. It drove jerky at any speed. We returned the car to Sherwood Park Hyundai in which they said that they will not do any work on it. They recommended that we replace the catalytic converter because it was melted. The vehicle was sent to Park Muffler where they discovered that the fuel system and exhaust system failed upon inspection. We required a full tune up, changed fuel injectors and spark plugs and a new catalytic converter. This dealership was either intentionally ignorant and dishonest or mechanically incompetent. They charged over five thousand dollars over the blue blook value for a car that was mechanically falling apart. They take in trade ins for next to no money and sell them exactly how they are for the highest amount possible. After being conned out of taking this vehicle to an experienced mechanic prior to purchase, we ended up paying too much for a vehicle on top of adding almost five thousand dollars in repairs. I would never recommend Sherwood Park Hyundai. We felt mislead, deceived, talked down to, gasl More

This is the worst experience have ever had. I was called multi times a day for weeks to get this deal done while I was bedridden with bronchitis. When I finally went in to COSIGN but everythi I was called multi times a day for weeks to get this deal done while I was bedridden with bronchitis. When I finally went in to COSIGN but everything was written up as my being sole borrower on loan...not given any documents and my friend who was purchasing vehicle had a trade in but there is no paperwork. Told there is life insurance yet papers that I secured from bank show offer declined. As well additional 2300 added to price for GAP. Payments higher than discussed before anything signed so immediately over what was budget. Vehicle paperwork all in my name yet dealership was able to register vehicle under my friends name and plate. Lots of very unethical things done...nothing but lies, deceit and razzle dazzle switch a roo. My friend had to sign documents supposedly to be able to test drive. And we were rushed from there and I was very ill and on heavy medication. As soon as stuff signed ushered out of the office due to a meeting. I have been trying to get loan applicant added. Will not speak to situation. We have filed complaint with AMVIC. Hope this resolves issue if not then lawyer. It was a huge scam and shuffle of paperwork without even discussing vehicle history. WOULD NEVER RECCOMMEND THEM...TOO DECEITFUL THEY USE STRAW DEALS More

I received the worst customer service at this dealership. I would not recommend them to anyone. I left in tears because Adam in finance made me feel like absolute garbage. Telling me that our credit was belo I would not recommend them to anyone. I left in tears because Adam in finance made me feel like absolute garbage. Telling me that our credit was below average and the bank won’t approve my husband buying me a vehicle. I ended up in tears. We were also told that one of the banks would only approve us with extended warranty on the vehicle. We wanted up walking out and getting our deposit back. Oddly enough, first thing the next morning we went to another dealership and bought a vehicle with no issues whatsoever. And they funny thing is that it’s with the same bank that he said was denying us without an extra $100 a month over our payment agreement. That feels super shady to me. I would give zero stars if I could More
My parents taught me that if you have nothing good to say, don't say anything at all. In that regard I have fitted all the good things that I have to say about my experience with these people between the say, don't say anything at all. NEW This is a cautionary tale ~ Buyers Beware As a courtesy, I waited a full week giving Sherwood Park Hyundai an opportunity to address the problem. I have not heard from anyone. On October 17th, courtesy, I waited a full week giving Sherwood Park Hyundai an opportunity to address the problem. I have not heard from anyone. On October 17th, I purchased an incoming Kona Essential AWD for $29,000 ALL IN from Tony Miceli in sales. Expected delivery to be the first week of November. The order was confirmed with the finance manager, Kevin Genest. Kevin called again on October 29th to see if I wanted to pre-pay for my vehicle? I said no thank you, as I had of course not yet seen the vehicle. Tony called on November 3rd to see when I was picking up my vehicle. I said when you tell me it’s ready, I’ll make arrangements. Tony said it’s here did nobody call you? No, they did not. The lack of communication and professionalism is mind boggling. I live in Calgary, 3.5 hours from Sherwood Park Hyundai. I arranged to pick up the Kona on November 10th around noon. I had to arrange for a ride from Calgary. On November 9th I called again and spoke to Tony and asked for a copy of the window sticker and/or build sheet. I was troubled with the lack of transparency and full disclosure. I had asked for this multiple times and it was never produced. Tony assured me that it was an Kona Essential AWD as he had driven it himself and knew that it was. I arrived and met Tony and he went to get the Finance manager, Phadey Zakkour. He brought the documents for me to sign at Tony’s desk. When everything was done I went to the drive-through bay to pick up my vehicle to find out that in fact it was NOT an AWD as purchased. Tony still insisted that it was an AWD. I asked the service advisor if he could confirm whether or not it was an AWD. The service advisor went underneath the vehicle and said no it is not an AWD. Then the manager, Brad Slywka comes to talk to me and says well that’s what it is. I said that’s not what I bought. Brad said I can order you a new one with AWD for $3000 more. I said that is very kind of you as the cost of an AWD upgrade is $1700. Phadey came back to get all the paperwork that I had signed already and explained to me how they can charge whatever they want, even over MSRP, based on AMVIC regulations when you negotiate for a vehicle. To which I said, I didn’t negotiate the price, I purchased the Kona for the price that Tony offered me. He took the paperwork and said oh well I’ll get you your bank draft. Not once at any point did any the 4 men that I dealt with apologize. No I’m sorry for the inconvenience, I’m sorry for the misunderstanding, I’m sorry that you spent 7 hours of your day driving up here from Calgary. Unfortunately, after this horrific incident I read the Google reviews. In my opinion this is not an error, this is a calculated, intentional deception and fraudulent sales operation. What would’ve happened had I left with that vehicle? Driving it with the belief that it’s an AWD in our Alberta weather. God forbid I was involved in an accident killing innocent people and my family believing the vehicle was an AWD. This could’ve had catastrophic outcomes and they don’t care one bit. Everyone at this dealership that I dealt with have one intention only. To rip people off, lie and withhold information. Shame on all of you. Also, please do not leave a copy and pasted response asking me to call the GM. You know exactly who I am and I expect to hear from you to make this right. Suzanne More
Saw a vehicle online so called them up and they said sure they can make that vehicle work for me. Once I got there they said sorry that one is too old and won't work with my payments but they have another on they can make that vehicle work for me. Once I got there they said sorry that one is too old and won't work with my payments but they have another one that will work. (Sounds like bait and switch) They found another vehicle that I decided to finance. It was late so they said they would contact me at work the next day and tell me how it's going. They called and said the sale is between one of 2 vehicles. I asked them if the one I looked at the previous night was one of the vehicles and they said yes. Then the finance person called me and said he got me financing but he was going to check a few other places for better financing. I asked if that was going to affect my credit score and he said no I would only take a hit for the dealership and the first credit check. I got home that night and checked Equifax and I had 6 credit hits that affect my score. When I got to the dealer after work they said I just had to sign a couple papers and I'm good to go. That's when I found out that they put me into a car. I had originally told them that I did NOT want any cars and that would be a deal breaker. I asked what happened to the one I looked at the night before and they said they couldn't get the financing I wanted. (They could have told me over the phone in one of the previous calls that day). They eventually found a vehicle that I could live with and I had made sure it had 2 keys. The salesperson said it did and showed them to me. Before picking it up they had to replace the windshield which took a couple weeks. When I went to pick it up there was only 1 key. I wanted to talk to the original salesperson but he no longer worked there. Anyway it took 3 visits and 6 phone calls and 2 full months before I finally got a second key from them. (they kept saying we'll call you in a couple days or we sent the info to our sales manager upstairs and he'll call you as soon as he's in. He never called of course). I just took it in for a service appointment and told them that it also is making a lot of banging whenever I hit a bump on the right rear and that I looked underneath and see that the shock is leaking. (I have a lot of mechanical experience). She said the technician will do the 21 point inspection and if there's a problem they would let me know. I asked if the service would cost me anything since the vehicle is under warranty and she said almost 400. I said no just do the inspection then and I'll fix any issues myself. Well the inspection report came back with no issues and no suspension leaks. She then said that if I find an issue then I can pay for the service and then they'll check it out. This was the last straw. I wasn't going to bother writing a review and just chalk everything up to typical car dealerships but I should not have to pay the dealership to inspect an issue on my vehicle that's under warranty.
