Just had my 100,000 km service maintenance done yesterday at Scarboro Subaru. I would like to recognize the excellent and knowledgeable help I received from Kent, the Service Advisor. I purchased a new SUV at this dealership in July 2018. In October 2022, when I had my winter tires installed at another Subaru service department, they determined that my all-season tires were all cracked In October 2022, when I had my winter tires installed at another Subaru service department, they determined that my all-season tires were all cracked, unsafe to use and needed to be replaced. The all-season tires that came with my new vehicle, lasted lass than 5 years on the road (July 16, 2018-October 16, 2022, minus the winter months when I used the winter tires). I didn't think this was reasonable, so I called Scarborough Subaru to express my concern. Spoke to Bo, Kareem and then the manager, Guy Vigliatore. Kareem and Guy were very rude and wouldn't acknowledge my concern, saying that it was "the age of the car". Kareem said there was nothing they could do because I had been using the car for "5-6 years". When I asked him how he got 6 years, he wouldn't stop speaking over my voice and then hang up on me. I honestly believe that they treated me poorly because I am a woman. They would not behave that way towards a male customer. This dealership has a serious systemic discrimination problem and needs to be held accountable. As a woman, I was intimidated and not allowed to express the safety concerns I have with the quality of the tires that came with my new vehicle. That's is a serious human rights violation. They offered me no options or support whatsoever. These are the people representing this brand. More

I worked with Alexander on a lease of a new Forester. He was helpful and professional despite the long wait for the vehicle to arrive. I don’t blame Alexander (or the dealership) for this long wait time. Manufacturing issues in Japan, the COVID pandemic and the ongoing microprocessor shortage made for a very long wait (6 months). When the vehicle finally arrived Alexander came in on his day off to help ensure the delivery process went smoothly. He even helped explain the car’s features and made sure I understood how everything worked. My only feedback is I would like to see the paperwork and trade-in process streamlined, but I’m sure that will come in time. I really love the Forester and would likely lease one again in the future from this dealership. More
