Went in for a scheduled oil change and it took a little over an hour. Really an hour for an oil change? I had my oil changed a a Kia dealership on the way to the cottage in Colbourg and I waited for less over an hour. Really an hour for an oil change? I had my oil changed a a Kia dealership on the way to the cottage in Colbourg and I waited for less than half an hour. Had an issue with the loud clicking sound in the gear shift solienoid so I brough the car in to have it looked at. Right away, I was told that this was a know fact and that it was normal. Normal?! Really. I did some research on some Kia forums and a lot of people had warned about dealerships tell clients that this is normal. This is not normal nor is it acceptable to tell clients that it's normal prior to checking it out. Thankfully this dealership replaced the the soleniod under warranty and the issue has not been somewhat resolved. I say somewhat because on occassion, the loud clicking does come back. Will follow up on this one. I also had my door handle replaced under warranty because it broke off when I opened the door. I scheduled an appointment over the phone and the service rep said to come in at 9am. I mentioned that I needed shuttle service to get to work and he said to come in at 8:30am. I show up at 8:15am and was told that the shuttle had left 10 mins ago and that it would not be back for another 1.5 hours!!! I ended up waiting until the repair was completed. When the repair was completed, I was asked, "Where's the broken door handle?" "We need it" "If you don't have it, you will have to pay for the repair" Really!!! I brought the car in a week ago and showed you the broken parts. No one took the part from me or told me I had to give you the broken part as part of the warranty process. All I was told was that the part would be ordered in and that the repair was covered under warranty. Thankfully I was able to find the broken door handle. When I got my car back I discovered that I was not able to open the door where the handle was replaced. Verified that the door was unlocked but it still would not open. It would open from the inside though. Good thing I check in the parking lot at the dealership. I advised the service staff of the issue and they had the Tech go out to check. Tech had to bring it back into the shop to repair again. You would think that one would verify this after the handle is reinstalled no? I waited an additional 20 mins and than realized that my car was parked outside the dealership. I went back to the service desk and asked about the car. The gentleman said he would check. He came back with my keys. How long was the car sitting outside!!!? This is what drives me up the wall with this service location. I don't want to be sitting waiting needlessly. If the work has been completed, give my my keys back. Anyways, I will not be going back to this dealership. The only positive experience I had was when I purchased the car. The sales rep Seth Pahvlavan was great to work with. More
I am so very happy with my new (used) Kia forte koup That I just picked up. Raj went above and beyond to ensure every part of the transaction went smoothly and timely. There were no games, inappropriate fees or up-selling tactics. She is incredibly positive, knowledgeable about Kia products, professional and focused on making the customer happy. She had to source my vehicle on her day off - that really impressed me. It was in Mississauga and the dealer was not cooperative. She personally went and picked it up, then had it inspected and prepped in Scarboro. Tania is personable, honest, caring and an excellent communicator by phone, email and in person. Seeing that big red bow on my new vehicle as we pulled into the lot was an unexpected surprise, but shows how she cares about her clients. I wanted to write a review to tell about my amazing experience at Scarboro Kia with Perry Phetvongkam. My previous car's timing belt went and the engine couldn't be repaired so I was on the hunt fo experience at Scarboro Kia with Perry Phetvongkam. My previous car's timing belt went and the engine couldn't be repaired so I was on the hunt for a new vehicle. After visiting a few dealerships I came into Scarboro Kia and met Perry. He immediately welcomed me into the showroom and empathized with me in my current situation. Being that this was an unexpected expense I was looking for reliability, longevity and something that was also cost effective. Perry showed me the 2013 & 2014 Kia Rio at first and I thought 'wow, a lot of features for a reasonable cost'. I almost was set on the Rio when he also showed me the 2014 Kia Forte. Not only did it have great features, it was also cost effective on a month to month basis as well as fuel economy. He also heard my concerns about my previous car's timing belt problem and indicated that Kia uses timing chains. I went back and forth on the models a few times over the next few weeks and I went into the dealership many times. Everytime I made a connection with Perry he worked with me and made me feel valued. He wouldn't loose his patience and wanted to ensure I was happy with my decision. This illustrated to me that he showed genuine care and concern. I was impressed. I ended up moving forward with the 2014 Kia Forte and I'm glad that I did. I think this has been the best decision I have made in a long time! Great Job Perry & the folks at Scarboro Kia! I will surely recommend my friends and family to you! More
