$$$$ Money saved because of second opinion from Brad Scherer Brad saved us over $2000 in unnecessary repairs at Richmond Hill Toyota, in the spring of 2018. We needed a second opinion on a possible leak in our Brad saved us over $2000 in unnecessary repairs at Richmond Hill Toyota, in the spring of 2018. We needed a second opinion on a possible leak in our timing cover (repair cost of approx. $2200) . I took our 2008 Highlander in for a quick inspection. He took time out of his schedule to put it up in the service bay to look at it. After some very good cleaning and very close inspection and camera pics to go along with his evaluation, Brad assured me there was no serious visible leak or ANY leak , and I was wasting my money, on any repairs at this point. I never attempted to repair the leak. I recently returned to my original Toyota service shop, two months later for regular maintenance and summer tire installation, and an update of that leak in the timing cover. After careful inspection by a different technician , there was no apparent leak anymore.????? Thanks to Brad , a repair was never done, money was saved, and wasted time and aggravation was avoided! More
