I decided to get a new car last week and my son recommended a grand cherokee since he has one. I was really fortunate and lucky that the dealer was Jason Poteet . A young man with lots of knowledge recommended a grand cherokee since he has one. I was really fortunate and lucky that the dealer was Jason Poteet . A young man with lots of knowledge and intelligence which made my decision really easy. He is very polite, respectful and helpful. Never hesitate to help during and after sale which is really rare nowadays. I recommend Jason to anyone considering buying a jeep from Renfrew Chrysler. You will never regret it.. And i want also to mention Stefan in finance who is also a great guy who made the process of financing really easy and smooth. Thank you Stefan More
My mom and I went to Renfrew Chrysler to try and find two new vehicles, the sales person we dealt with was Amanda . She is the sweetest person and extremely helpful she bent over backwards to do everything t new vehicles, the sales person we dealt with was Amanda . She is the sweetest person and extremely helpful she bent over backwards to do everything to help me and my mom. Then we were introduced to Richard in the finance department he is also so nice and extremely helpful he also bent over backwards to make mom and my finance go. Both mom and I got 2 new jeeps her Cherokee and my wrangler. We love our vehicles and we will now stay with Renfrew and Amanda and Richard. They are the best people l have ever dealt with. I am so thankful for them, no other dealership would do business with someone like me on disability. They are amazing. More
Received a cold call from Kent Arnett regarding upgrading our 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. As it happens, my wife and I had actually been talking about replacing our vehicle for a Hybrid model. At first Kent our 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. As it happens, my wife and I had actually been talking about replacing our vehicle for a Hybrid model. At first Kent did the usual Salesman tactic of showing us everything they had that could be an upgrade for us. However, we were set on a Pacifica Hybrid. Kent was very accommodating and found a Pacifica Hybrid with the options we wanted at a different dealership. The whole team was very professional and got us into our new 2020 Pacifica. Very happy will return again. More
Visiting Renfrew for an oil change and was asked if I'd like to replace my air filter and cabin filter and agreed. At a previous dealership I wasn't charged labour for popping in either when having an oil like to replace my air filter and cabin filter and agreed. At a previous dealership I wasn't charged labour for popping in either when having an oil change - here I was charged $35 for the air filder, $45 for the cabin filter and another $45 for the labour to install it. These costs are inflated compared to other dealership. Aside from basic maintenance I recommend comparing costs with another dealership if you intend to have your vehicle serviced here. This location is convenient for me but I won't be returning due to the nickel and diming they seem so keen to do. More
I'd heard great things about buying here, but from start to finish, my experiences with Renfrew were very poor. Don't waste your time here. Total experience: My attempts to correspond with a sales rep w to finish, my experiences with Renfrew were very poor. Don't waste your time here. Total experience: My attempts to correspond with a sales rep were being sent into an apparently-unchecked junk mail inbox for a week or so, and my eventual appointment ended up delayed a full hour behind by the time I was able to get in the building. No attemted was made to have another sales rep start my test drive. I was astonished by the deplorable quality of language being used within earshot of customers, emanating loudly from offices and the finance desk alike, were nearly enough to have me walk out. F-bombs and more were loud and unfiltered for the duration of my stay. Highly unprofessional. As I sat in reception, I was appalled at how a salesman talked down to their potential customers, as if they were little children. The Sales Pitch: My sales rep felt quite comfortable to continue swearing throughout our look at the vehicle. The sales rep I spent time with was unable to talk with me about technical features of the vehicle in question, and on more than one occasion said I could "just Google it." Their overall lack of actual product knowledge seemed to be less than mine as the customer. With respect to the work done around pricing, I appreciated the effort that was made, and they did an honest job of trying to put together the best deal possible without too much of the expected sales push. A Ram is still on my list of options to buy, but I won't be returning here to buy it. They appear to feel safe in claiming to one of Ram/Chrysler's most successful dealerships in this area (of which I was reminded on several occasions), but they have substantial problems with regards to the respectfulness and professional behaviour of their staff. They have absolutely lost this potential customer. More
Don’t buy from Renfrew if you want a good buying experience. August 8, 2020 I signed a deal to purchase a new truck. Today I notice on the bill of sale the warranty start date is June 30, 2020, so experience. August 8, 2020 I signed a deal to purchase a new truck. Today I notice on the bill of sale the warranty start date is June 30, 2020, so one month of warranty I have been screwed out of. I also have not received any paper work regarding the protection package that was paid for. The worst is yet to come. I made a deal for a certain price that included a tonneau cover. A few days later I was told that the cover was actually $600 more that what had been included in their offer and I would have to cover that increase. I wanted the truck, so begrudgingly showed up and paid it. Shortly after that they informed me that I would have to wait several weeks for the cover, but I could get a style that was not my first choice (I wanted a rollup-they had the 3 panel flip up) right away and the cost would be the same. That alternate cover was installed, but the day I picked the truck up there was a small part that was broken on the cover. They had to order a new cover and that would be a few weeks to come in. The new cover was installed a few weeks later but there are rubber bumpers that prevent the cover from banging into itself when fully folded up….those were installed incorrectly. There were two installed on one side and none on the other. I did eventually get a couple more bumpers which was good because the originals flew off in a car wash (hand spray car wash not an automatic one). Because of the increased price and having to take something other than what I wanted in order to get the cover in a timely fashion I asked the sales guy to throw in a set of mats for the truck. A couple days later I was told….I can’t give them to you for free but I will get the price knocked down. Well the price was knocked down $40 on a $222 set of mats, not much compared to the $600 I had to pay in addition to the originally agreed to price. When I picked the truck up there was only one key available, no one knew where the second key was so they would have to order one. When I called a week later again no one knew what I was talking about and the sales person was not there. I called again in a week and was told the sales person was no longer employed there. Again – we will order a key. I did finally get the key October 7th almost 2 months after purchase of the vehicle. Now the icing on the cake. In August Renfrew ran the following add – I believe I saw it on FB and I did receive it via email. We are offing a FREE 50” Samsung Smart TV with any New or Pre-Owned vehicle purchase for the month of August!! In addition to the already amazing deals we are offering, you will also receive a $200 referrals bonus to anyone you forward this email to that uses the opportunity. Since I had purchased my vehicle in August and was not told about this offer until the email arrived, I called and asked about “my” TV. I was told that I was not entitled to this offer as it only applied to the last part of August and I had picked my truck up in the first two weeks of the month. No where in this add does it mention the time in August…..it simply says “month of August”. Not the most honest advertising I have ever seen, might call it dishonest. For many years we have taken one of out vehicles to be serviced at Renfrew and were quite happy with the service. That is not going to happen with this new vehicle, busy looking for an honest dealership. More

My husband went in to look at refinancing and maybe upgrading. Our only stipulation is that it had to be the same or less than we pay now. For three days it was a back and forth of them coming back upgrading. Our only stipulation is that it had to be the same or less than we pay now. For three days it was a back and forth of them coming back with higher prices. We ended up walking away and keeping what we are in. I don’t understand how coming back with prices higher was an option it was made clear what we were looking for and our budget. More
I was told to come in and they'd give me a great deal because I am a frequent customer. What I ended up getting was disappointment and having to walk out of the dealership. The Sales Dept and the Fina because I am a frequent customer. What I ended up getting was disappointment and having to walk out of the dealership. The Sales Dept and the Finance Dept were told, by me, over and over again that I was a pensioner and could only afford so much. They kept dangling this gorgeous Compass on me. They took me on a test drive (and of course I fell in love with it), then told me that I was approved to get it and at a cost within my budget, so after two sleepless nights anticipating bringing this vehicle home and cleaning out my existing vehicle, I went to the Finance Dept to sign the papers to only find out that the price had doubled. They expected me to pay $560 a month for a vehicle!!! I had been all prepared to bring it home with me that day but ended up having to walk out of the dealership with my old vehicle. Renfrew has a lot of distrustful people and you cannot rely on what anyone says - I do not like this turnover of staff from the last time I was there as these people do not seem to have the customer's needs on their minds but how much commission they can get in their pockets. Please do not go to Renfrew, they just won't listen to you. More
