My wife and I were looking for a neat Boxster S for the last two years. We spotted a Guards Red Porsche Boxster S PDK 2009 on February 9, 2013 on Pfaff Web Site. The car was in our garage ten days later with the battery maintainer plugged, and two Porsche caps on the seats. My story is like that of any typical guy who dreams of owning a Porsche. I booked an appointment with Maurizio Gatto, sales extraordinaire, and showed up to the dealership with my wife and 1 year old, expecting to get a few raised eyebrows as we looked at the various 911s on the lot. To my delight we were greeted like family and the atmosphere was very welcoming. After some discussion and a few visits, Maurizio and I closed a deal on an immaculate 2005 Carrera, fully loaded, in my dream color combination - Guards Red with tan leather interior. The car itself is stunning. The curves, the color, the glossy paint finish... superb. But the driving is amazing. The car sticks to the road, and I love the sport-button that transforms it from Dr. Jekyll to Mr. Hyde. What an engineering masterpiece. And while these cars are extremely reliable, they aren't immune to problems - this car came with a two year Certified Pre-Owned warranty which gives me great peace of mind. I have to attest that Maurizio was extremely professional through our entire purchase process. From day one he assured me that he was there to help answer any questions, and not to hard sell me on anything. And he was very knowledgeable about the car's history, performance, and options (both factory and aftermarket). The service team is also exceptional. Being a 2005 there were a few minor hiccups that we had to sort out when I took delivery, but they were all handled efficiently and since then it has been smooth sailing. The service team is professional, courteous, and the communication has been great. Most of those dealers rarely gave me the time of day when I walked in. When I walked into Pfaff on a very busy Saturday, Tom approached me and asked if I needed help. He answered my questions straight away, and then asked if I wanted a test drive. He actually let both me and my wife take a test drive, and we were both hooked. Tom showed us what the car was REALLY capable of, while I hung on for dear life! THAT'S how you do a test drive! In the weeks that followed he always made himself available to answer further questions, and never hestitated when we asked for further test drives. His sheer enthusiasm for the product made us really want to buy the car. He earned that sale.
