Great service and sales staff, We have been dealing here for 15 years. Have purchased a couple of used cars here first, then bought a 2005 Accent new. Great car and no problems. Lat We have been dealing here for 15 years. Have purchased a couple of used cars here first, then bought a 2005 Accent new. Great car and no problems. Later bought a new Tucson and a few years later traded for another new one and my husband bought a used Elantra as we had given the Accent to our grandaughter,( It is still running great). We recently bought a camping trailer so traded the Tucson for the 2017 Santa Fe. as we needed more towing power. Love the Hyundai `s and have always had great and friendly service . Have dealt first with Andy, years ago, then with Jim and Carl. A great dealership and service dept. selling great cars. We would never go anywhere else, to buy a car. Recommended them to a couple of our friends and they also are now faithful Hyundai owners and love this dealership. More

SO many issues with the Accen Bought a new Accent and would never buy a Hyundai again! Salesman was amazing, but that's when the great service ended. SO many issues with the Accent...WAY too many to list! I have had nothing but problems with the vehicle and have visited the dealership more times in the last few years for repairs/warranty work then I have with all other vehicles I have owned, over the last 30 years, combined! I sold my Toyota to buy a new Hyundai and have regretted it ever since. Going back to Toyota and will never, EVER, consider purchasing a Hyundai ever again! I have dealt with pretty much everyone there and while I enjoyed dealing with Jim and Daryl, I really have nothing good to say about Don or Kim! Can't wait to say good-bye to my Accent and say good ridden to this dealership and say hello to another Toyota and to the great service I ALWAYS received from Russell Toyota. More

The salesman promised to have it cleaned and have a broken heated seat switch we noticed fixed. Upon arrival to pick up the car we noticed the switch was not fixed and crayon and garbage still in the center console. The salesman promised again to set something up with a dealership closer to our home to have the switch fixed which never happened on his part. We ended up constantly having to contact him to try and get it taken care of and still didn't manage to get it taken care of. Worst part of the purchase wasn't the garbage or broken switch but the fact after 5 months of having this car, the engine went while my fiance was on the 407. After dealing with customer relations time and time again, we were informed that this dealership received the recall notice November 11th 2015 and we purchased the car November 28th. They refused to mention this information and sold us a faulty car and put my fiance's life at risk. Go to Bowmanville Hyundai if you want a good experience as the service lady Kim was the only positive experience we've had with Hyundai as she went above and beyond to try and help us. Ended up getting the heated seat fixed in Bowmanville and new engine installed in Bowmanville. Now we are dealing with Hyundai head office to try and get a $400 tow reimbursed which has been nothing but an issues. We did get a new engine installed, but this whole situation has been nothing but a big headache which you shouldn't have after 5 months of purchasing a car from a dealership. We will never buy a Hyundai again because of this dealership, but for those who do, avoid this dealership and try Bowmanville as they went above and beyond to help us even though we didn't purchase the car from them. They tried to fix the gas issue but ended up making it worse. Refuse to do anything else and wouldn't take the car back. Never again and I suggest no one ever by a car from here. Worst dealership I've been to. More

The salesman was busy with another customer when we went to the dealership, so the general manager spoke with us and sent us for a test run. We liked the car and were going to make a offer...but for the bumbling gm. He didn't know how much he wanted for the car, so we told him what we were told by the salesmen. Unfortunately he lost his price sheet. He had no desk. He had no office. He was unsure if it had winter tires and had no idea how many keys he had. He said that the price online was a mix-up and that this was a new website and that they were having problems. The price we were quoted was from the salesmen not the website. We told him what we were willing to pay and that we would rather buy a vehicle in town and keep the money local. We started with a low offer of $12,000. He wandered off and when he returned he stated that he looked up similar cars on autotrader, he must then have realized that he had the 2nd most expensive RAV4 listed on the site. He came back and stated "I'm not here to rip you off but I think we paid more than that for the vehicle" We then offered $13,000 and showed him the prices of literally every other car of the same year and model the range. He then said "I could try that offer but it probably won't sell for that" He then wrote up some figures that had nothing to do with our offer. My wife who never gets frustrated thanked him for his time and we left. He didn't even take our phone number. The car remains on the lot unsold, and overpriced. More

Confirmed that they did change (and bill for it) the automatic transmission fluid in a car with a standard transmission. 2. Rotate tires that don't need rotating - took the 'more' worn rear tires and moved them back up to the front - they never bothered looking at the tread to see if this service was even required. 3. Repeatedly failing to identify, let alone fix, the cause of engine misfire -never checked ignition coils or wires, didn't check for engine error codes, and even went so far as to say "That's what you get with these little cars" inferring that their product is inferior and you can't expect it to run properly. 4. Tried to bill over $200 for a warranty repair due to not looking up the car properly in the database, claiming it was a used car, and not believing the owner that is was a new car/covered by warranty. Even once they admitted to the mistake, they prepared an invoice and tried to extract the money from the owner. 5. Generally, their service invoices are very ambiguous and do not allow you to determine what work was done, what parts were replaced at what cost, etc., so you cannot tell if the work is legitimate or not. I'm all for giving a business the benefit of a doubt, but this is consistent and systematic over several visits. I won't even go into the limitations and caveats of their 'extended warranty'. Thanks Larry and staff - for nothing!" More
