I had a great experience with the sales team for my 2019 X6 lease(5 stars). The reason for the 1 star review is in regards to the service department. I recently bought out my lease and part of the buy out X6 lease(5 stars). The reason for the 1 star review is in regards to the service department. I recently bought out my lease and part of the buy out process is to have the vehicle certified by the dealership. The inspection report showed that I required new front brakes due to corroded front brade pads, rotors and sensors for over $1300 plus tax. Interestingly, we had a scheduled maintenance done in South Carolina a month prior to this inspection. The dealership in South Carolina video taped their findings and mentioned our brakes were at 11mm, which was great. I showed BMW Performance this video and quickly they changed their brake diagnosis to 10mm brakes and that the technician had a faulty gauge. Perhaps, it would be helpful if dealerships provide videos for all services done. Otherwise, how would I have know or proven this and I would of been forced to replace my front brakes unnecessarily.
