A price comparison shows Peace Arch significantly higher than other Toyota dealerships in the lower mainland. I hear that staff get their cars serviced elsewhere. Service Department operation is so bad that I have twice complained to the president of Toyota Canada, who seems unable to effect any change in dealership operation. In the 4 years since I bought my Prius, my car was only been ready at the time promised twice, and nobody bothered to get in touch to flag problems or delays. As a result, I missed, among other things, a medical appointment for which I had waited months. While some staff are pleasant, some are downright rude, and the general defensiveness and disorganization raise concerns for me about the competence of the work being done. After all this, when I complained, the Service Manager, Oswald, told me to take my car elsewhere, since I was so unhappy. He agreed to pay for my "Oil Change for Life" if I did, and so I went to Langley ToyotaTown, where the service is courteous, prompt and well done in every respect. Now Peace Arch has decided not to honour that agreement. By all means, buy a Toyota, but don't buy it here! More
Over charging service/parts I was a Service customer for 6 years, never questioned my service and parts billing. Just had a sensor replaced and was charged 20% OVER FULL Toyota I was a Service customer for 6 years, never questioned my service and parts billing. Just had a sensor replaced and was charged 20% OVER FULL Toyota retail (checked with 4 other Toyota Dealers in the Lower Mainland to confirm). Not only was I shocked, but the explanation I was given - the dealership can charge what the market will accept.....I could not believe it! I have to wonder how many service customers have been overcharged simply because the White Rock area customers did not question the price of parts. The Service Manager did refund the 20 % overcharge and advised he would call me back with a further explanation, this did not happen. More

Be very careful and wary of this dealership My parents, who are both in their late 70's, purchased an 08 RAV4 from this dealership new. They have taken excellent care of their vehicle with regular servicing, oil changes, etc at the dealership and have paid dealership prices. Their vehicle only has 95k on it as they don't generally drive any great distances. They noticed several warning lights come on their dash and have spent a great deal of money and time getting the problem diagnosed. The issue appears to be that the timing chain is skipping a link and is gone. Timing chains generally need to be replaced around the 300k mark which will be long past my parents driving days. The dealership charged my parents close to 1000 to diagnose the problem and then offered to install a USED replacement engine into their vehicle for $6500. I took their vehicle to a reputable mechanic who was incensed at this blatant attempt to take advantage of this senior citizens. He said the same motor would cost $3200 installed, all in. What really is upsetting is that not only Toyota/Peace Arch is refusing to stand behind any sort of warranty in terms of kilometres on the vehicle, they then have the audacity to attempt to further "gouge" their customers for a few more thousand dollars for an issue that didn't need to be addressed for at least another 200k kilometres. I hate hearing stories of people being taken advantage of but to witness it first hand not only makes me very upset but compels me to warn others so that they do not become victims as well. More
WARNING!! DONT FALL FOR UNDERCOATING/OR PAINT PROTECTION I purchased a brand new white 2014Toyota Rav4 from this dealer on august 5th 2014. The finance department forced the paint protection and sound shield I purchased a brand new white 2014Toyota Rav4 from this dealer on august 5th 2014. The finance department forced the paint protection and sound shield/undercoating down my throat with a discount., $499.00 each and they sold me for 698.00 for both. As of today September 13th 2014 the paint protection was already washed off once and they reapplied it and again its washed off. The sound shield has been done three times now and its still not drying. At this point even if both of those were offered to me for free I woulnt take it. I have contacted the dealer again about this and yet again they are going to look at it, and this will be the 4th time. I called Toyota Canada and explained to them this situation. Their answer is that their vehicles already went through rigorous testing and dont need either of those, and this is what the dealer sells on their own and therefre I have to deal with the dealer directly and there is nothing Toyota Canada can do about it. Dont waste your money on bogus offers, its just a cash grab and then you will be given the run around in hopes you will get fed up and forget about it. More
Will never return to this dealership I will never return to this dealership, and would urge anybody thinking about going here to reconsider. Sure, maybe you've been looking for a specif I will never return to this dealership, and would urge anybody thinking about going here to reconsider. Sure, maybe you've been looking for a specific vehicle and these guys just got one! Exciting right?! Wrong. Wait for another dealership to get one in. Waiting sucks, but you know what's worse? Buying a "mechanically inspected" used vehicle here, and then 6 days later having it sputter out and die. "Not to worry, I just bought this thing; we will work something out. We'll talk to the Sales Manager Russ Daniels"....nope, not here, not at Peace Arch Toyota. As a mechanically inclined individual I looked into there "inspection", I've come up with 2 theories. Either there was no such inspection done on my vehicle, or the mechanics that did the inspection are completely incompetent. The spark plugs on my truck were torqued down so tight that I could only loosed 2 of the 4 of them. So either they haven't been taking out in years, or there mechanic missed the grade 8 shop class that would have taught him not to over tighten certain engine components. Oh yea..and then there's the metal shavings on the engine-end of the spark plugs....surely if a "mechanic" would have seen that it would have elicited a red flag. The fact that they rushed the inspection shouldn't have been a surprise, after all, they forgot to clean the gum wrappers and reading glasses out of the glove compartment. While this isn't a big deal, it just solidifies the fact that these crooks are completely blind to proper business ethics and protocol and only interested in the amount of money they can make. On a side note, my salesman Tom Kaest was a very genuine and a pleasure to deal with, if only he worked at a reputable dealership.... More
When I take my 2010 Tundra in for service I make sure I get Ramon. He is pleasant to deal with and if he can't answer a question he will talk with a tech so he can give me the information I need. The rest get Ramon. He is pleasant to deal with and if he can't answer a question he will talk with a tech so he can give me the information I need. The rest of the service department are also quite knowledgeable but if Ramon is on his days off I will call when he is in. I am very picky when it comes to my truck and I can be a pain in the neck but Ramon seems to be able to please me with the answers and explains the bill in detail to me. I highly recommend Peace Arch Toyota and their entire service department. Jim Kerr, Surrey B.C. More
I originally wrote a review that detailed my experience with Peace Arch Toyota, I didn't give the dealership high marks or a good review as I was not impressed by the price they offered to buy my trade in with Peace Arch Toyota, I didn't give the dealership high marks or a good review as I was not impressed by the price they offered to buy my trade in at, As it was considerably less then what other dealers had offered me. needless to say that after writing the review it received the attention of the Sales Manager Bruce, after a few emails and a phone call, Peace Arch Toyota and I were able to come to a reasonable agreement for the purchase of a 2014 Tundra. Bruce & Brent went the extra mile, and came up with a unique opportunity where I could get full value of my Trade In and get the Tundra, I wanted. This is what impressed me about this dealership, that stands out from other Toyota dealers that I've dealt with. More
