Purchase of Cherokee My wife and I were on the hunt for a new SUV and had visited 3 different dealers before landing at Ottawa Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat. We had narrowe My wife and I were on the hunt for a new SUV and had visited 3 different dealers before landing at Ottawa Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat. We had narrowed our search to the Ford Escape and Jeep Cherokee. After talking to sales person Luke Harron about our needs in an SUV, we took the Cherokee for a test drive. After 5 minutes of driving, my wife and I knew we had found our vehicle. Now came the hard part...negotiating a deal!! It turned out we were in good hands. With the help of Luke, and manager Mike Pearson, we hashed out a fair deal for both sides. As a matter of fact, Ottawa Chrysler gave me a substantial difference for my trade-in than Sterling Ford. With the great help of finance manager Rob Nadeau, whose assistance got us a better finance rate with the bank, the purchase of a brand new Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk was a very pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend this dealer, and intend to purchase my next vehicle with them as well. More

I originally contacted where we bought our last vehicle and they didn't sound like they wanted our business so I contacted Ottawa Dodge . But Angela was so quick with a response and then when we got there Geoff was so helpful explaining the car details . My husband plans on returning to purchase his car of choice in fa few years. When we came to pick up the vehicle the second set of keys was locked in another part of the dealership that they do not have access to on Saturdays. I called back to discuss a way to get the key and it was out of Nick's hands. We were transferred to the General Manager who was not interested in paying the $12.95 to ship the key, and made a comment asking if I will never be back to the city (which is 120km away). In this case I did not forget to get the key, the dealership was unable to provide it, therefore it should be on their end to get me the key. I would rather pay $240 for a new programmed key, than walk through the doors of that dealership again. More

They told me they had targets to make for the end of the month and were hungry for sales so I thought this could work. Not only did they low ball me on my trade, they seemed to be charging double or more for the options I was looking for on my Wrangler...and did not break down the deal. Apparently they weren't as hungry for a sale as they said they were. I, quite frankly, was insulted so I left. Two hours later, my husband and I went to Ottawa Chrysler Dodge Jeep and spoke with Derek in Sales. He was very upfront and honest with us, and worked with us to get a trade value and a price we were comfortable with...$10,000 less than what the other dealership was offering. Once we agreed to the price, the paperwork was a breeze with Angela Turnbull, she was so nice and a pleasure to work with! All of this and I picked up my new 2015 Wrangler Sport in only 2 days! Definitely would work with these guys again! Also...the other dealership never even followed up...so they lost my sale. Thank you, Ottawa Chrysler Dodge Jeep, for making this trade and purchase a pleasant experience! More
Saved from a bad experience I was living a bad experience with a particular dealership. We had made a deal but once the paper were in front of me to sign, the sale amount was not I was living a bad experience with a particular dealership. We had made a deal but once the paper were in front of me to sign, the sale amount was not what we agreed on. I told the dealership I wanted to take a day to think it over. This was the second dealership trying to sell me an over priced van in less than a week. I left that dealership and promptly drove to this dealership. Blake was the first person I saw and I explained what was going on and how I was being treated/pressured. Being a single woman unaccompanied by a man, I felt the other dealerships were taking advantage of me. I asked Blake if he could match or beat the price of a used 2013 Grand Caravan. I was on a budget. All this before he had a chance to invite me in. hahahaha poor Blake, I just blurted out my situation without a hello. He was more than happy to show me what used vehicles were available. Then I had a chance to meet with Rob for the financing and it all occured to us that I could afford a BRAND new Caravan. After two dealerships, none mentioned that my fiancing could afford me a new vehicle. Due to a past bankruptcy I thought I could only afford a used. The whole process was smooth, Blake and Rob kept me up to date, treated me like family. I felt secure and treated with respect. I didn't need a male family member to protect my interest, I felt Rob and Blake had my best interest at heart. I got a brand new van, a few perks thrown in for 18 dollars less a month then the used vehicle at the other dealership. At 47 this is my first BRAND new vehicle. I am very happy with my experience and looking forward to my first oil change so I can visit with the boys. ;-) More

I felt that they WANTED to make money the wrong way, which in turn would turn me off of the vehicle and purchase. From those experiences I felt that I knew how to deal with those types of salesmen. When it came time for my wife and I to purchase an SUV we browsed some dealership websites. I chatted online (as I am deaf and this is the best mode of communication for me) with some reps of different dealerships including Ottawa Dodge. The next day Luke Harron emailed me to make arrangements to view some vehicles. When I met with Luke I found that he was a good salesman, I didn't feel pressured into purchasing a vehicle from him. Luke had shown me patience as we had to write our our conversation on paper. He also let me test drive vehicles that I was interested in which I greatly appreciated. In general I found that Luke had an honest approach and was very good at communicating with me from the beginning all the way to the end. I love the SUV that I purchased and have no regrets. Thanks to Luke for recommending the SUV to my wife and I as it is best suited for our needs. If you are looking to purchase a great vehicle, go see Luke at Ottawa Dodge because he is a professional with a fantastic attitude.
