Ottawa St-Laurent Jeep & RAM responded

Kiki, the work performed at our dealership included replacing the front and rear rotors, front and rear brake pads, e-brake replacement, a drive-line servicing, rear axle seals and bearing replacement, exhaust manifold replacement, and the exhaust gasket replacement on other side. You were provided a parts and labour discount in excess of $1000 on the above-noted work. The dealership also provided you with a rental vehicle to use while your vehicle was being repaired; this was done at the dealership's expense. The rear brake work comprises of approximately 15% of the total invoice for the work performed. When the dealership was advised that the rear brake components failed, it took immediate action and did not question the diagnosis of the other garage; we agreed to pay for the necessary repairs, including that of the wheel, which was damaged during the incident. Furthermore, the dealership offered a future discount to be used at your convenience for service work and parts; this offering was made as compensation for the inconvenience you experience. The dealership has offered to make you whole and provide additional discounts for this incident. The dealership has a solid reputation for good work at a competitive price; if this were not the case, reviews would dictate otherwise.

We're sorry to hear of this; it appears that the information was not properly communicated to you by the sales rep. The General Manager was not involved in this case; the Sales Manager spoke with the sales rep and offered options to get the key to you. We do not typically mail out keys because they have a tendency to go missing in the mail, creating new issues. The sales rep was supposed to ask if you come to Ottawa often; if so, we would keep the key at reception for pick up. Another option would be to courier the key to you. Please speak with Mike Gervais or Steve Hearth directly so we can make arrangements to get you your 2nd key.
