We've been giving this dealership many chances over the years, and coming back even though we were almost never happy with the service. But this last time was the final draw... we will not be coming back. years, and coming back even though we were almost never happy with the service. But this last time was the final draw... we will not be coming back... EVER!!!! Had a bunch of things serviced in the car, including a replacement wiper blade. We payed and went home and then the next day it was raining, tried the wipers, and guess what OLD BLADE! ERRRRR. Looked on the bill got a charge for a blade, after calling and complaining they admitted that it was a labour charge and not a charge for the new wiper blade... WHAT???? Charging labour without doing anything and upon picking up the car they never mentioned that they didn't replace the wiper, it was just "Car's ready". When we asked to get the charge reversed, we were told that this wasn't possible, REALLY?!?!... well that's the last time you'll see any of our money! NEVER EVER GOING BACK! STAY AWAY! More
Multiple reasons why I would never recommend service at this dealership to anyone!!! First off went to the dealership for an issue with vibration in the front end, car pulling to the left and a knocking this dealership to anyone!!! First off went to the dealership for an issue with vibration in the front end, car pulling to the left and a knocking sound coming from the front end. Day 1: Diagnosis was problems with the rotors. So they decided to mill the rotors. A few hours later recive a call to pick up my car (which was end of day Saturday). On my way home which is only a few blocks away, a still feel the vibration and pulling...a behold when I enter my driveway, then hit my fence....NO BRAKES!!! Day 2: Shop is closed on Sunday Day 3-6: Return car to get brakes fixed, and state that the problem was still nto fixed. Asked the question why brakes were not checked after removing them to work on front rotors. Service managers answer was "we didn't need to touch the brakes to work on the rotors." If anyone knows what rotors are, they are the thing that the brakes clamp to stop your car...and yes the brakes need to be removed to work on rotors. So the answer I get is that they will replace the rotors and fix the brakes at no charge. At this point is when I aske them to make sure to leave the old part in the trunk...as I am skeptical that they messed up when milling the rotor. I then get a call that the vibration is still there, and its my tires. So they order 2 new tires. One of the service managers state they will take the car for the evening to see if the vribration is still there. Next day get a call that vibration is still there. They decide to rotate tires from front to back....and same manager will use the car that evening, issue still there. I then get another call that my rim is bent and needs to get replaced. Ironic that they just replaced the tire, now the rim is bent. Was the bend not noticed while balancing the new tire??? I then tell them I don't want them to replace anything else...cause it seems like more and more problems come up all the meanwhile they cannot fix the issue. So low an behold I have my original bill from when the rotors were milled, and all the additional bills for tires, service etc... When I ask if the parts were left in the trunk....the answer was that I never asked. Hmmm how mysterious. I then ask to speak to the manager...they say hes not in today. So the next day while driving down the road I got fed up with the increased vibration and pulled into the nearest rim/tire dealer....and surprise the rim was bent...and the comment from the mechanic was that it was clearly a new bend as no rust, and fresh cracks of the chrome were flaking. A few days pass, with numerous calls unanswered to John Goddard's voicemail (service manager at Old Mill)....so I decided to walk in to the dealership.... Surprise he's there!!! So wait patiently in line to speak with him. When I finally get to the counter I introduce myself, and he's starts being appologetic that he's been busy and could not return my call etc... (as sarcastic as can be) I review the entire issue that occured, and when I pressed the part about my car being let go without brakes, he again stated that I was not a mechanic and that the brakes had nothing to do with the rotors. I asked about the parts not being in the trunk as asked...he said they were accidently thrown out. I asked about the bent rim with the new tire....was told that the mechanic has his back turned when on the balancing machine. Excuses for everything.....but the best part is yet to come. When I asked for a reason why the safety of their customers is not considered, he told me "I have other people waiting in line, I can't help you anymore". So come a few weeks ago, after dealing with the same issue of vribration, steering being awkward (sometimes locking up) and the knocking noise still there, and having aligment done multiple times (for a year and half or so) I get a nice letter from GM stating that a "recall" has been EXTENDED for the power steering of the car. PS: original recall was done in summer 2010 (before I brought in my car to the dealership) Well got the power steering replaced at another dealership, and the service manager gave me a call asking if I had a continual knocking problem thats heard in the floor board area. He said that he could easily get rid of it for a small fee...$60 Surprise!!!! The car works line a charm, the noise is gone all is good. $60 plus a recalled part, does not equal over $3000 in parts & labour...plus fearing for the safety of those in the car. Thanks John Goddard, you really know what you are doing. I "really appreciate your customer service skills" As to the owner of Old Mill Lou....PS...thanks for replaying to your emails, voicemail or the letter I sent to you regarding the service and lack of safety for your customers. (yes that was pure sarcasm) More
I worked directly with Steven Grossman on what was his first week at the dealership. He was cordial, well-mannered, intuitive, intelligent and sensitive to all we asked. I was purchasing a new Orlando f first week at the dealership. He was cordial, well-mannered, intuitive, intelligent and sensitive to all we asked. I was purchasing a new Orlando for my wife for Christmas as a present and Steven understood not only what I need but also what would make the gift special and surprising and worked with his new team to accomodate my needs. We've always dealt with Old Mill ( this is our 5th vehicle) but Steven added an extra dimension to this purchase, making it fun, easy and best of all, something that my kids and I could participate in to make it unforgettable for their mother for Christmas. I very recently bought a used Pontiac Grand Prix (private sale) and a few days ago while driving, the computer advised that the front passenger turn signal lamp had burnt out. Sure enough, it had. Never ha sale) and a few days ago while driving, the computer advised that the front passenger turn signal lamp had burnt out. Sure enough, it had. Never having owned a GM vehicle before, I did a Google search to see if there were any dealers nearby and then I searched 'Old Mill GM' to see what people's experiences were with the Service Department. This site came up and I decided to give them a try. I was glad I did. They have a slick setup where you drive your car inside for it to be looked at. Slav was friendly and quickly looked at it and let me know the cost (it was less than I expected) and told me it would be about an hour. I came back about 40 minutes later and it was ready and they had washed it too. Slav informed me that they had also replaced both license plate lamps as neither was working (I hadn't noticed but I've only owned the car a few weeks). They did not charge me anything additional for that. While it was a small issue, I was impressed enough with the service and low cost that I will take it to them first for my next repair. More
Worst dealership I have ever dealt with. Car: 2006 Worst dealership I have ever dealt with. Car: 2006 Pontiac G6 2 Door Problem : Car had cracked front headlight at driver side and a scratch and a d Worst dealership I have ever dealt with. Car: 2006 Pontiac G6 2 Door Problem : Car had cracked front headlight at driver side and a scratch and a dent of 1 inch diameter next to it. Damage was visible only from close-up .it required a detail work. Also It had slow crank and possible battery leak , battery needed changing, windowdid not index.( i.e. remained half open after closing the door , but was operable) Got quote all comes to $1400 , 1 day later they said cost did not include the $500 headlight because it was not noticed (!?). And this despite the fact that I had told the service rep. that the headlight had taken water in .They said " Listen .. we could give you a replica for $250 " I said no thank you. Repair Got delayed , it took 5 days because paint had bubbled(?). They called to apologize . I thought as long as it gets fixed , I will not say anything . I went to pick up the 5th day :, the scratch at the front was still there , they had just buffed it and took the dent out , heated the bumper to take the other small dent out and They did not repair the scratch nor the headlight. The car looked pretty much the same as before the repair , headlight still slightly out of alighment as before , except for buffing and heating that they charged close to $1000; . I paid $1200 for nothing. Regarding their Courtesy as I came to pick the car up: The sales person told me , that he told the repair people that I was coming ( only he used a vulgar word to refer to me thatthe content reviewer here asked me to remove ) ; would be there and that they should hurry. I am not going there again Yesterday I had a slow crank again. It seems that the source of the electrical problem is still there. I think there is a electrical leak in the system , due to headlight that was hit and is taking water. They take your money and insult your intelligence . Do not go there there are far better dealers. My experience began with a phone call asking about one car and from the beginning Marco was very kind and candid (something I very much appreciate). I went into the dealership which by no means was on my car and from the beginning Marco was very kind and candid (something I very much appreciate). I went into the dealership which by no means was on my way home but just the opposite. I was impressed by his accomodating and courteous mannerism. I felt very much at ease with him, the process and now my car. Thank you Marco!! More
