The answer was yes we did and the result was OK, if there was any problem they would have reported right away. I asked them if they can run the computer check again they said yes we can do it but there is a charge for it which is about $110. I said I paid almost $700, 3 days ago and you said you didn't see anything wrong and now the light is on and you are going to charge me again for the service supposed to be done in the first place. Service manager answered unfortunately these things like slot machine when you start putting money in, it takes until you win. I am sorry but I am not a gambler and I took the car another mechanic , checked the engine free of charge and right away the result came as the cylinder one misfiring, the reason would be either sparkplugs or the ignition coil. The cost of fixing it including the parts is about $100 and this problem was there for a long time if they had run a test it was almost impossible not to seeing it. Please be alert, demand a good service and avoid misleading advice. More
Sexism and Customer Abuse Oakville Volkswagen enables its male staff (from sales reps to financial services managers and service coordinators) to prey on female customers of in Oakville Volkswagen enables its male staff (from sales reps to financial services managers and service coordinators) to prey on female customers of interest. These individuals will use a customer's personal information obtained for business purposes only to later engage in a conversation of a personal nature. They may also extort a 'date' from a customer by claiming that they take all their customers out to dinner while this is not true - their only intent is to engage with a female of interest on a personal basis. So far I have been taken on this type of 'date' without my consent and pursued by several other employees of this dealership, and Oakville Volkswagen has not even apologized for this highly offensive and abusive behaviour. Ladies, if you wish to be treated like dirt and a piece of meat, just go to Oakville Volkswagen. These sexual predators will make your experience unforgettable. And... this is allowed in Canada?? After numerous poor service experi Consistently some of the worst service experiences. Sloppy work, lack of in-stock parts, terrible customer service. After numerous poor service experiences my wife wouldn't go back. The final straw was when they kept her waiting for 1 and 1/2 hours (she had an appointment) only to discover her car wasn't even in the service bay yet. No one even told her there about a delay even though she was sitting meters from the service desk. On another occasion they returned the car to us after a winter tire change with the tires underinflated (the warning sign was flashing on the dash!). We gave up on warranty work after they were unable to fix the horn or the heated steering wheel or the sunroof. They never seem to have parts in stock and consistently had to order parts which take forever to arrive and necessitate second or third appointments. They just seem overwhelmed at the service desk. When the time came to trade in my wife's car she refused to get another Volkswagen because of the repeated bad service experiences at Oakville Volkswagen. Huge contrast to the service we get from Oakville Honda which so far has been great. I have pretty good experiences with a number of other Oakville dealers as well including Infiniti and Mercedes. I would never recommend this dealership. I would like to buy another Volkswagen but it won't be from here. More

At one point they told me that if I increased my down payment the price of the car would go down and therefore the monthly payment would too. They offered $1,000 for my trade in. When I said it wasn't enough I was told that they had "just gotten off the phone with another dealership that would give $2,000 for the car"...lucky coincidence. They still couldn't bring the price down so I left. I got a call back and made an offer. I was told the offer would be excepted. I went back there and we reviewed the deal and it was ok'd...until the sales person left and the finance person came in and presented the same number I walked on 2 days ago. They weren't going to meet the number I wanted. I was only asking for $1,000 of the asking price and offering a down payment of $3,000. So misleading. More
Sold Certified Pre-Owned Car With Undisclosed Damage Purchased a Certified Pre-Owned VW from them. When asked if the car had been in any accidents, the sales person assured me it had not. A recent paint Purchased a Certified Pre-Owned VW from them. When asked if the car had been in any accidents, the sales person assured me it had not. A recent paint inspection performed by my servicing VW dealer revealed that certain panels of the car had previously been repainted (paint did not match factory specifications). The car is now rusting from the inside out, and VW Canada will not honour its 12 year corrosion warranty. I was cheated into paying a premium for a CPO car from an allegedly reputable dealer, only end up with a previously damaged car with useless corrosion/rust warranty. Their service department suggested the car may have been repainted prior to sale due to "stone chips" which is a ridiculous excuse. The dealership's response was to provide a bandaid solution, then quickly shut down communication with me when pressed for an acceptable resolution. Avoid at all costs. More

I went into the dealership with all of my research done, knowing exactly I bought a brand new Volkswagen Golf TSI fro My oakville volkswagen in 2015. I went into the dealership with all of my research done, knowing exactly what I wanted to purchase as well as the price I was willing to pay. I was paired with a salesman, George who was extremely rude and blatantly sexist. I told him I was looking for a manual transmission as I had always driven stick in the past. He replied with, "Are you sure you want a manual transmission? I've never sold manual to a girl before.". I was appalled- that kind of rude and sexist comment was enough for me. I asked to never deal with George again and that I was given a new salesperson. From that point on I worked with Lydia from management- however, without my knowledge, George was still given the sale of my car and had signed the papers for my sale. I realized that too late to change anything. I wouldn't recommend this dealership- very sneaky and rude. More

Went to Oakville VW yesterday to measure up the trunk and arrange a test drive. She is a fairly accomplished young professional but was driven to tears by the rudeness, disregard and generally being treated like an idiot by the staff there. On the plus side it has hardened her up for dealing with old fashioned car sales routines and she had a completely opposite great experience at the next dealer she visited. Unfortunately we'll have to go elsewhere to deal with VW's - as an auto enthusiast, and occasional automotive journalist, I know theses cars should be on her list. More
2nd Oil change Booked the 30k service, and asked them to look at the alignment. The original tires were taken off at 20k and were found to have wear issues. VW ser Booked the 30k service, and asked them to look at the alignment. The original tires were taken off at 20k and were found to have wear issues. VW service says that they do not warranty alignment, "even if you drive the new vehicle off the lot and turn around and come back in, it's on you". Worst service answer ever. Went to pay the bill and saw that it was for $323. to change the oil, (not rotate the tires as asked) and install both air filters at double the retail price and add a mysterious fuel additive that the service manual doesn't mention. $142 of labor to do that????? No thanks. I know you make your money off service and it won't be off of me anymore. More
