I could not be more thankful for Chetan picking up the phone the day I called Northstar. I was in search of a new (used) vehicle, he listened to what I wanted and he and Trevor made it happen. The process was seamless and not an ounce of stress was had. I’m so pleased with my new car and it sounds crazy, but I’m a tad sad the process is over !!! Absolutely make the call and ask for Chetan. Just bought my used car here today to replace a vehicle written off in an accident. Staff were friendly and responsive to inquiries. They made my unfortunate situation better After sharing my experience I received a call from the Service Manager. He was very concerned about my experience and wanted to help. He listened to me, reviewed the documents and asked how he can make it right. He followed through on his word and helped me get $1700 back from Northstar Hyundai and recover $3800 from the warranty refund which I was entitled based on the contract. A total of helping me recover ~$5,470 from this nightmare. It’s still a loss but I feel a lot better about it and it is a loss I am willing to take. I think the dealerships forget how someone's car is their life line. It's how I am able to provide for my family, pay my mortgage, get food and visit friends and family. A new or newish vehicle is the third biggest purchase of my life: Mortgage, College, Car. We are dealing with years of expensive payments or hard earned savings that have a massive impact on every aspect of my life. I had a negative experience buying a used car from Northstar Hyundai. But once the right person got involved they finally made it right and I feel like both parties made the best of a bad situation. A few things I wish would have been different through the ordeal: 1. I wish they listened to the customer and slowed down, stop these high pressure fast sales tactics because being lied to, false advertising and adding in (illegal based on AMVIC’s All-in pricing policy) extras and fees makes you untrustworthy and ruins the entire buying experience that should be happy and exciting one. 2. I wish they would properly go through the needs and wants of the customer, people might be willing to pay a little more and feel better if someone just showed them different cars, what options they have, what is included, what isn’t, what is standard, what isn’t. Help people understand the true costs and the true product and help them make sure it will meet most of their needs. It feels like you negotiate something and then at the end they didn’t listen to a single thing you said you wanted and they present you with something that you didn’t talk about or that isn’t the best option for you. 3. I wish the customer care manager was better informed about the deal before calling to talk it through and resolve the problem. It was extremely insulting for someone to try and negotiate with me when they tell me untrue facts about how financing works, didn’t know the advertised price of the vehicle, didn’t even know what vehicle I bought, and had didn’t know how their warranty products cancellation works. 4. I wish it didn’t take sharing my experience on social media to make someone realize that what happened to me was handled wrong. It’s too bad that I had to cause a fuss (no one wants to be that person) just to be treated fairly and have a situation resolved where no one feels taken advantage of. More

Service Department Excellence Easy, fast and clear! I was very happy to receive a video of my inspection with the mechanic - I literally felt as though I was right there with him. Friendly and attentive service from the staff. Quoted for other services needing to be performed and was not blown away by the price point. Northstar Hyundai is there for the customer for sure. More
