I give Northstar Hyundai a 5/5. As a follow up to my previous comment, I would like to amend my review of Northstar Hyundai. I was personally contacted by Guy (GSM), and was provided an apology for th previous comment, I would like to amend my review of Northstar Hyundai. I was personally contacted by Guy (GSM), and was provided an apology for the less than great service I experienced earlier this week. We spoke at length about other options and I was offered a great deal for the trade in of my 2008 Hyundai Tuscon. I was treated with respect and look forward to dealing with Northstar Hyundai for years to come. Great customer service and follow up. Frank DiLorenzo More

Within fo owed one before but my buddy looks at ratings etc and was impressed so i took a look. Dealt with Matt and Devan and enjoyed the experience. Within four months we eventually purchased two vehicles! Customer Svc was second to none, been back a couple of times and nothing but Kudo's to them. I actually enjoy dropping by to say hello! Also dealt with Rod in Finance and he advised us without any pressures about purchasing and best ways to go about it. Very pleasant and trustworthy individual. Recommended Hyundai to a fellow Co-worker and they purchased a new Santa Fe like ours! More
Bottom feeders, sneaky, dishonest, liars, game players, unprofessional, ruthless, misleading, Rude, no integrity and that's putting it mildly. I will NEVER and I mean NEVER do business with this dealershi unprofessional, ruthless, misleading, Rude, no integrity and that's putting it mildly. I will NEVER and I mean NEVER do business with this dealership again. Went to West End Hyundai and was treated like a human being. Very straight forward salesmen, no misrepresentation here. It was a very pleasant experience. Got exactly what I wanted. More
We purchased a Santa Fe from this dealership a few months ago. I thought we got a great deal as we got the vehicle at wholesale + $500. Turns out that we got ripped off with the full protection package! They ago. I thought we got a great deal as we got the vehicle at wholesale + $500. Turns out that we got ripped off with the full protection package! They charged us $2095 for a package that would have cost us $899 somewhere else. We then went to another Hyundai dealership a few months after we purchased the car, and it turns out that they charge $1095 for the exact same protection package. Moral of the story: SHOP around and DON'T trust car dealerships right away. Also, this dealership seems a bit shady to me. When you are interested in a car and you ask them for a price, all they give you is your monthly payment over 48, 60, 84 or 96 months. You have no idea how they came up with the numbers and the actual cost of the vehicle. Do not be fooled! Always ASK, how they came up with these numbers. They are not to be trusted. Rules for buying a car from this dealership: 1) Come in with a calculator 2) Investigate what their wholesale cost is for the type of car you are interested in. That is your starting point for negotiation. Google it. 3) DO NOT give them any money for a price/quote for the car you want. They give you a hard time if you want to back out. 4) If you do buy a car from them, DO NOT do the Hyundai survey right away. They make you give them high marks for their service as they almost force you to complete the survey there in their dealership after you have signed all the paperwork. 5) DO NOT buy their additional warranties OR protection. It is expensive and you can get the protection package much cheaper elsewhere. If you want an easier time buying a car without being nervous about being duped, go to West Edmonton Hyundai. They show you exactly how the numbers look and how they came up with the payments. No hassle and no calculators required! They sold a friend of mine a car while I was with her and it was a much easier process. No BS whatsoever. More
Booking an appointment for warranty work was very difficult. The email feature on their website for booking servuce appointments does not work. When you call for service they say leave a message and difficult. The email feature on their website for booking servuce appointments does not work. When you call for service they say leave a message and never call back. I had dealt with them previously and was given loaner vehicles. On the third major repair done on a 2008 Hyundai (boot,cv joint, and front axle previously replaced), I was refused a loaner car. Recently I had issues with the steering component, the first appointment booked to fix a steering problem they said they had the ' wrong' date. The second appointment for the same problem the did not touch the car- were not prepared. The third appoinment they kept my car for 5 days offering no loaner car or shuttle to get to work. The staff is rude, lack professionalism and frankly intelligence. I will never go back to this dealership and never buy another Hyundai. Cheers! More
Salesman is very good and friendly, however, the manager is not very nice at all. Extremely pushy to make a deal. We told them we only here to check out the car but he insist that he will give us a deal tha is not very nice at all. Extremely pushy to make a deal. We told them we only here to check out the car but he insist that he will give us a deal that we can't refused. After all the annoying pushed and we agree on a price for the trade in etc and we shake on it, when we about to pay the down payment, he took his offer back and said he didn't know the car has repaired done to it. But in the form that he fill up, i told him about the repaired. Later we went home and check online, the car supposed to be way cheaper than the price he offer me. We went to West Edmonton Hyundai and the price is 7k cheaper. We bought a Veracruz and now I am very happy bout my vehicle. Don't come to this dealership unless you want to pay more and get ripped off. Do not like Go Auto tactics at all. More
Took my car in for usual warranty service. They told me i needed an alignment done. I knew sth was slighly wrong with the vehicle's alignment so i agreed to have it checked. Charged $150.00 and when i took i needed an alignment done. I knew sth was slighly wrong with the vehicle's alignment so i agreed to have it checked. Charged $150.00 and when i took it home i noticed the same problem i had before and sth else- the steering wheel was off center now. took the car back explained the problem. Techinician took car for a test drive noticed the problem and they took car in and "fixed it". I took car home and notice the same problem as if realy they didn't even touch anything because problem still persist. I thought even canadian tire can do a better job. Here i was dealing with trained technicians who supposedly know their product and should be able to fix car right the first time but now i have to take time off my schedule to take car back for a third time. I will NEVER BUY a HYUNDAI AGAIN. Back to Toyota More
We are in need of a small hatchback. I saw a 2013 Elantra online at the Go-Auto website for ~$22,800. The site did not tell me if this was MSRP or not, so I emailed the dealership, asked for the 'All-In' Pr online at the Go-Auto website for ~$22,800. The site did not tell me if this was MSRP or not, so I emailed the dealership, asked for the 'All-In' Price. Nigel (a Manager) emailed back. I quote from his email: This Elantra GT is one of our featured specials for our sale this weekend until month end.....The only other charges would be the 5% sales tax, $100 air tax, $20 tire tax and $6.25 amvic fee......If you build this specific elantra online at the Hyundai Canada website you can see that is way under online pricing and we always stand by our advertised price.' I repeat.....'and we always stand by our advertised price.' He was right! I checked and the price of a comparable unit was $2000+ higher! He continued, and again I quote: 'I suggest you call me right away so we can set up a time to come see it. With a deposit I can give you first writers (sic) refusal and it is 100% refundable A couple of hours later, I drove over to the dealership and met with Nigel. Oooops, there apparently was an error on the internet. It's the rong car, sorry. But don't worry, we have lots of other cars in same price range -- just without the extras. Duhhhh, do I smell Bait and Switch? This is my 2nd experience with a Go Auto Group dealership here in Edmonton The first was with Norden Volkswagen (next door to NorthStar Hyundai) Both experiences were very bad, very sleazy. High Pressure sales. Almost like attending a time share event in Mexico! Should be renamed Go-Away Auto! All I know is that I'm staying away from all of them! As I continue to shop for a new car, the first thing I now ask is whether or not they are owned by Go Auto! By the way, the car continues to be listed on the internet a few days after my visit. If this really was an error, you'd think they would remove it immediately, right? More
