worst dealership in edmonton. northstar hyundai. Horrible place filled with liars. Willake empty promises and thrn lie and say that the person was fired and that they cant keep it. The sales manager Horrible place filled with liars. Willake empty promises and thrn lie and say that the person was fired and that they cant keep it. The sales manager treated me and my grandfather like crap. Said he was a useless old man. All we wanted was to exchange my car as we were in our 30 days due to all the mechanical issues it already had (which they also tried blaming us for) even the clutch which was needing replacing in a week. They said was me when ive only driven standard and is pretty much impossible to go through one so soon. Go anywhere else they are horrible liars. Ibe boughten cars since and can definitely say these guys were the worst. Go anywhere else. More
Warranty Woes I brought my 2010 Accent in as I was hearing a squeaking noise at start up. I work closer to another dealership and had one of the mechanics there loo I brought my 2010 Accent in as I was hearing a squeaking noise at start up. I work closer to another dealership and had one of the mechanics there look at it. I was told it was my alternator. I brought it in to Northstar to have the warranty work done on it and they told me that they could reproduce the sound however it wasn't serious enough to replace under the warranty. They then proceeded to tell me that my warranty had been voided as someone else had worked on the vehicle, I did have the mechanics at the other dealership replace some of the drive belts so while I can understand that I wasn't happy about certified mechanics at a different dealership voiding my warranty I was even more upset that while they could reproduce the sounds it wasn't serious enough for warranty to cover it. They then provided me with a $1100.00 quote for the work and elsewhere I was quoted around $600.00. Such a price difference makes me wonder what they are selling. More
Even though I never bought from here, I took my 13 Santa Fe in for three warranty issues. Mike was friendly, asked why I never took it to where I bought and I explained the issue there. He called me a few h Fe in for three warranty issues. Mike was friendly, asked why I never took it to where I bought and I explained the issue there. He called me a few hrs later, to say my exterior door handle had been replaced, they ordered me a new stereo and explained my other "issue" was actually normal. Over all it was a great experiance, and I will spread the word of their good service and I will continue to take my car there More
I bought a used car here last week. I felt like they did not tell me everything that they had on their lot, and tried to steer me a certain direction. They would not give me as much as a sticker price on 2 not tell me everything that they had on their lot, and tried to steer me a certain direction. They would not give me as much as a sticker price on 2 vehicles I was looking at and kept saying that one was in the mid 10000 and one was in the low 20000. When I was finally mad and ready to leave they came back with a 19000 and a 25000 dollar sticker price, which was not what they had led me to believe earier. I walked out of the dealership angry and never planning on returning. Unfortuantly when you are looking for a used vehicle you don't always get to choose what dealership it is at. The next day while contunuing my car shopping I had narrowed down what vehicles I had enjoyed. The to one on my list was a Volkswagen Tiguan. Much to my dismay then Tiguan that look perfect was at the Northstar Hyundai Dealership. I returned to look at it and was met again with very poor customer service. I asked the sales guy that I had the day before why I did not get shown the Tiguan and he said he didn't even know they had it. After test driving the vehicle and deciding it was the right one for me, I was told it still had not gone through all their insepctions as it was a recent trade in, so I was not able to take it home that day. That was fine with me and we left. It has now been a week and I have had to call back and try to track someone down to check on my vehicle everyday. I have been told that they will call back and let me know the progress shortly and waited hours for calls or not been called at all. I can't wait to have my vehicle in my possesion so I do not have to deal with the people at this dealership anymore! I did not want to buy a vehicle from them, but when you find the perfect used car on a lot where the people are awful what do you do?!? More
I bought a genesis 2013. I walked into the lot knowing the exact vechicle I wanted, I figured it would have been a fairly easy process. It should have been a tell tale sign after signing papers for them t the exact vechicle I wanted, I figured it would have been a fairly easy process. It should have been a tell tale sign after signing papers for them to inform me that the color of car I wanted had been sold the night before. And waiting days for my car to arrive, it seemed like they were trying to find reasons on not to deliver it. All the departments I had to deal with seem like they need an upgrade on the people that work there. My car also needs servicing, after booking an appt and because im too young for them to give a loaner, because the job apperantly takes a whole day I had to make arrangments to get to school only to get told that they only might get to it. Omg, really? I regret buying from here. I'd definitely stay away from here! It honestly was a terrible first time buyers experince. More
I bought a 2013 genesis here. The salesman told me the windshield was military grade glass that wouldn't crack. After just 3 months of driving my car I have a big crack in the windshield and I never hea windshield was military grade glass that wouldn't crack. After just 3 months of driving my car I have a big crack in the windshield and I never heard a stone hit it. The turbo on this car lags really bad. The gears are far too tight and it makes shifting a lot slower. The finance team makes you wait over an hour after your appt time and they will call you constantly bugging you to do surveys for them to help them. How is that helping the customer? It is not. Overall I regret driving into their lot initially. More

My wife and I were looking for an SUV, and really liked the Santa Fe. We made arrangements to meet with Ilya (who was very helpful, honest and personable) the next day. When we arrived he was busy and we w the Santa Fe. We made arrangements to meet with Ilya (who was very helpful, honest and personable) the next day. When we arrived he was busy and we were asked if we would like someone else, because he was busy with another client. After talking to the other salesperson we were shown a vehicle but weren't asked if we had any thing in particular that we wanted to see. After finding out the vehicle we wanted to see we were informed that the vehicle was at another dealership. The next day we were informed that the vehicle had been sold about one month earlier by the dealership we were at. The salesperson we then were dealing with didn't inform us of the car being sold until we asked if it was ready to be seen. They then tried to make it up to us by finding a better vehicle for us. When they did find another suitable car they said they would give us an extra amount off the vehicle for the trouble. We then found out that the price we bought the car at was more than what it was advertised for. When we talked to the manager we were given a promise that we would be given a check written out for $1000 which was a little more than the difference. We are waiting on the deal to finalize before getting the check. It was a long three days after not getting to deal with Ilya. I would recommend dealing with Ilya but my experience with almost everyone else wasn't super. More

Anton was friendly, but most importantly, willing to entertain each one of my (sometimes very nuanced) questions regarding my options. He met with us on several occasions, and at no point did we feel pressured to purchase. He was happy to explore the various vehicle interiors, highlighting the advantages of one car over the other, and finally, ensured we were entirely aware of every feature in our new Elantra. Very pleased with our experience. More
