It took longer by quite a few days than expected, but the damage was worse than expected. The communication surrounding this was not excellent. The only way I knew what was happening was because I called. I was not contacted even one time. After the collision repair I was charged $25 to change my tires. I have a service package that I purchased from Ford so I was quite surprised by this charge. I asked them to waive this fee due to the package as well as the fact that I had just had autobody work done. I paid the fee. I was not informed during my oil change a month prior that I should change my tires at that point or would be charged. More
Prompt, courteous & speedy service. I was met immediately by a service rep on day of my appointment. She processed the necessary paperwork and then advised me my car had a recall and wo I was met immediately by a service rep on day of my appointment. I waited in the customer lounge and the service rep came back after a reasonable period of time to tell me my car was ready. She then escorted me to the cashier and went through what had been done to my car, the final price and also informed me they would call me when the recall part arrived so I could schedule an appointment. First Service Appointment at Northstar Ford Calgary I recently purchased an older Ford vehicle through private sale. The vehicle is equipped with keyless entry however the person I purchased the vehicle I recently purchased an older Ford vehicle through private sale. The vehicle is equipped with keyless entry however the person I purchased the vehicle from did not know the code. Brought it to Northstar Ford in an attempt to find out the code. With some research and crawling around in the vehicle Brittany was able to provide the code to me. I followed up with booking the vehicle in for service/inspection, in which the service was again very quick and friendly. More
Recommended some very high cost maintenance that wasn't requ Dropped off my 2012 F150 for a tune up and to check a "leak" on the left hand turbo that had been noticed when I was previously in for a service and o Dropped off my 2012 F150 for a tune up and to check a "leak" on the left hand turbo that had been noticed when I was previously in for a service and oil change. I was quoted a total of $6,200 to fix "oil leaks" on the turbo and various other locations on my engine. Though friendly, the service representative didn't have any answers when I asked for more information, i.e., severity of the "leaks", prioritization to help cushion the blow of the cost, i.e., what really needed to be done? (Note that I've never had to top up oil between changes nor noticed any oil in my driveway or parking spot at work). I went and got a second opinion with a mechanic I trusted and yes, I had some minor oil leakage, but nothing that would warrant wholesale replacement of the turbo and the various other components I was quoted. They shampooed the engine, and we'll check how much oil has really leaked in another two weeks. I bought my vehicle at North Star and had a decent experience, and also serviced it there periodically with good service, but this experience was too much (literally and figuratively). I won't be back. More
