An honest, good rating for an honestly good experience I see so many negative ratings and I cant seem to understand it! I went to Nanaimo Mitsubishi in Jan/17 (formerly known as Harris Mitsubishi) for a test drive on a vehicle I was also looking at in Comox. Hermon asked "for an hour of time to earn my business". The least I could do was save myself a drive, gas and time! I went to go look. Gave the guy an hour. Well, he heard my wants and needs and literally brought me the best vehicle I could've got for myself. An Outlander, touring edition. Beautiful ride. Ten year warranty and a full tank of gas too. I go Monday to pick up my referral check as my friend went and bought an Outlander as well, they tinted my windows as requested and promised. I had a window switch issue and that was fixed literally that week no hassle no problems. It shocks me to see all the negative comments from people as I never encountered one negative thing-everyone was nice. Guess I was lucky!? Or open minded. (who cares if they're smoking outside on the side of the building, where should they smoke then?) Hermon was my sales guy and I could understand him clear as day. They're just a bunch of youthful people going to work like the rest of us. Car salesmen just have that stigma/reputation & I didn't let that cloud my judgment therefore I had a great experience and will definitely go back there for my next vehicle.(and no im not family, nor is anyone in that building a friend or acquaintance of mine and that can be fact checked!) Thanks! V More
Full of lies and will decieve you Trust me with these other reviews. I wish I would've read these before and taken them to heart. Every single sales person in this dealership is xxxx. Trust me with these other reviews. I wish I would've read these before and taken them to heart. Every single sales person in this dealership is xxxx. They're all friends and operate behind the scenes together. The only good reviews I can Imagine by themselves or people who got robbed blind. They extremely pressure you. Every single person. Watch out for Chris Fenton there main guy that you will probably end up dealing with. They had me sign insurance papers on a vehicle before I even had the papers signed trying to put me into asap I did not have the intention of buying just yet. I found out that SUV had problems with the rear shocks. I assumed they knew about it wanted to get rid of it asap. Thank God I figured that out before hand. It was my second time buying a vehicle and I'm really young and I didn't really know what I was doing. I ended up going for a different car from them. It was a bit after hours and they did not care at all about me, all they wanted was to sell me a piece of crap car and get home asap. They never filled the tank for me, I was never given a contract. I had to go in later to get the contract. They never told me anything about negative equity, and how much I would aquire. Also at one point the financing lady changed the numbers on the paper by a few dollars every bi weekly payment. I said I wanted it the lowest possible. She said your not going to make me redo this over again for a couple of dollars are you? In a pressuring way. Ending up realizing that few dollars adds up to hundreds of dollars over my course of payments. I got sucked I to a 9 year contract. I had 0 debt and now I have close to $15,000? Can't even afford to buy any car out there anymore so I'm stuck with this piece. Over the course of the 9 years that I have this car I will be spending $60,000! Lol just absoulotly rediculous. Everytime I went in after I was laughed at repeatedly by there children like staff. They all knew what they did, and they do this on purpose. You can easily tell be these other reviews. Also will mention I was promised $500 in gas cards. Well I go to use them and they don't work. I talk to Chris and something at the accounting department "went wrong". Eventually they said they will send me a cheque. 4 months later, still no cheque for $500. Apparently they also lost my information at the accounting office and one day I came in with my contract in hand. The finance lady said perfect! While she came and snatched them from my hand without asking to go photocopy them. These people are all slimy, shady xxxx. I recommended to go with your gut I instincts and not go to this dealership ever. Do not get sucked into the bad credit approval they say they will give you because so many other dealerships will and can help you if you have bad credit regardless. I wish I would've only know this before. More
This place sucks, worst dealership in town Their must be a flaw in this system that allows staff to review their own dealership or family members or something to have this dealership have two Their must be a flaw in this system that allows staff to review their own dealership or family members or something to have this dealership have two and a half star rating , that's about two stars more then realistically is deserved , spotting the dealership half a star for turning on the lights and having more then a dozen cars on the lot!! Worst experience ever with a dealership, its been a couple months since our horrible experience and they still spam us with emails and calls. We had a bi weekly limit and two specific cars we desired and they ignored ever want and need that we had and were the most pushy slimy disrespectful uncaring salesman we have ever crossed paths with. I would strongly suggest to anyone to not even waste your time with this dealership and its sales staff I think often when people have bad experiences they don't bother to post reviews , perhaps that's why they less reviews then your average hotdog stand More

Terrible to deal with We bought a new 2015 basic rvr over a year ago. My husband came to the conclusion they were the only ones we could go to, based on our credit. Everyth We bought a new 2015 basic rvr over a year ago. My husband came to the conclusion they were the only ones we could go to, based on our credit. Everything went pretty smoothly for that original purchase. Now over a year later, we went back to see if we could upgrade to a better version newer year. The first time, I was on Maternity leave and they said they couldn't do anything till I was off. That was after they got us all excited talking like it was going to happen then. So we left it. Now I'm off Mat leave, we went back. We got shown the car and all excited again were told ok we can offer this bi weekly payment then we had a HUGE hassle with them and the bank (Scotia Bank) with them needing an employment letter and my work was being difficult and I couldn't get one. It was bs that they needed that in the first place. When you go get a car all they want is paystubs, just cuz I was on mat leave they needed it for god knows what. So after a month of back and forth calls and visits, they call us up and say we were approved finally. So yay we go in ready to get our new car, get shown it again, wait for half an hour for them to do paperwork then.......They come back and say ok we can offer this bi-weekly payment. It was $50 more than what was originally offered and agreed to. They wouldn't go lower at all. Complete waste of time after getting off work. I would also like to add that Mitsubishi is CRAP compared to other dealerships. Their vehicles have nowhere near the technology and setups of other similar vehicle on the market today. I will never purchase from them again, I wish there had been another option from the start. More
Wish I would have looked here first SO DISSAPOINTED!! I wish I had thought to check the reviews before I ever set foot in this dealership. I filled out an online application through Cana SO DISSAPOINTED!! I wish I had thought to check the reviews before I ever set foot in this dealership. I filled out an online application through Canada Drives as my credit SUCKS. The initial contacts and application process went fairly well, but the ENTIRE time I told them I wanted a truck. I had a mini van, but it no longer worked for my family and I NEEDED a truck. I was misled from the start. After being approved, I was told there was a "ton" of selections for me to choose from and to come in to see them. So, I took the ferry across and drove to see them. When I got there, I was told that the amount of financing I was approved for would NOT cover a truck, and I should choose a SMALL CAR for the interim and reapply after a YEAR. I have 3 girls, 2 horses and the need for a LARGE vehicle... going from my minivan to a tiny 5 seater hatchback is NOT practical. I had thought I made this CLEAR with the salesman I had been in contact with, but on the off chance that I hadn't, I made it clear that day. After going back and forth for over an hour, I decided to look a the newer minivans they had on the lot. (NOT what I wanted, but due to financing it was explained that it was my best option.) I was also told at this point that they were the ONLY dealership that dealt with bad/no credit financing. I finally chose a 2013 Chrysler Town and Country that had just come in on trade. I was also told I would receive the CarProof report AND A FULL MECHANICAL INSPECTION REPORT. I told them my budget was $150 biweekly for payments. The first amount they came back with was $254. I stood up to leave, frustrated that I had already wasted 4 hours. The salesman jumped up to see if he could "do better." He came back after almost 10 minutes with "found advertising money" that would lower the payments to $174. ($24 above what I told them I wanted to spend.) I thought about it for a bit and decided to accept that. We signed the papers that stated this would be what my payments were. We left for dinner while they finished up the paperwork. When we returned, the payments had gone from $174 to $201. I told them I was walking away, and they told me I couldn't because I had already signed the contract.... but they'd see what else they could throw in. At the end of the day I had a $207 biweekly payment for a tire warranty I didn't want or need, but 4 brand new M+S tires... which I guess I did considering I drive through the mountains at Christmas. I never received the mechanical inspection report, but soon after leaving discovered that the radio USB port did not work. I couldn't load my own music onto the hard drive, nor would it charge my phone. The drivers side sliding door did not work properly, there were 2 interior lights that were short circuiting, there was body damage not disclosed, and a handful of other annoying things. All emails to the sales rep went ignored until they finally told me that he was no longer with them. But mechanically, the van was sound, so I decided to put up with it. Then, I received an email on December 16th that I qualified for an interest rate reduction, so they'd be able to get me into my truck. I decided to give them one more chance... and agreed. I found a truck in Red Deer that I liked, and since I was in Edmonton it made sense to pick it up myself and save their atrocious deliver fees. I sent in the paperwork they required on December 20th. I emailed on the 22nd to see where we were and I was told they had the truck on hold for me, and were working as fast as they could. Then I heard NOTHING. I emailed on the 24th, 26th, called on the 26th, and 27th. On the 28th I found out that the truck they were "holding" had been sold and that NONE of my paperwork had ever been submitted to the bank. I told him I was incredibly disappointed, but was assured again that they had "sufficient stock" that met all my requirements. After going through the list, I found that NOT A SINGLE TRUCK DID. When I emailed back and told the sales rep this, I never received another reply. They wasted my time... and I received NOTHING in return. I was promised they'd cover my ferry costs, and they didn't. I was promised a full tank of gas and received barely a half. They are also NOT the only dealers that deal with Bad Credit. EVERY DEALERSHIP DOES! I wish I had seen these ratings before I went there... I would have never wasted my time, money, or lost my old van for such a pittance. ($500 trade in on a van valued at over $6000.) These guys are awful. I wish I could give them O stars. More
The dealership of lies and deceitfulness A friend of mine bought a pick up truck there was damage from 2 previous accident with the previous owner ( The original owners name was in the own A friend of mine bought a pick up truck there was damage from 2 previous accident with the previous owner ( The original owners name was in the owners manual in the glove box and we phoned the original owner about the accident ) and the truck was traded in at Mitsubishi the dealership sold the truck with the damage over $2000 and never disclosed on the paperwork Yes my friend viewed the truck at closing time and sign the paperwork but did not notice that the tailgate and bumper had been pushed into the box the tailgate was unable to open the tailgate The original paperwork that she was given did not disclose the two previous accidents of the truck . When she was in the finance department they disclosed to her verbally that the truck had been in an accident but the paperwork said it had not . The dealership was questioned and they tried to hide the paperwork by re-creating new paperwork . The dealership would not take the truck back and reverse the deal so that my friend could find a better truck somewhere else .. she was lied to by the salesman and also by the sales manager .. The dealership did send a truck to the repair facility and have the tailgate fixed but they winding cried about how much it cost and they didn't even do a proper job there still dents on the truck there still a dents on the tailgate they did the cheapest job possible .. .. because of my friends negative experience I would never ever deal with Nanaimo Mitsubishi and I will definitely tell anybody I know about the negative dealings that happened at nanaimo Mitsubishi More

My parents had a wonderful experience at Mitsubishi and I figured we would receive the same great service. All was good, in the beginning. Our salesman, Christopher, was very patient and handled my quirks in a comfortable fashion; with only a few blips, he was pleasant and courteous. It all changed AFTER we were approved! I was very clear when we first walked in that we were looking for a 6 seat vehicle, that was not a van (I have some issues with vans), and was assured that Nanaimo Mitsubishi was part of a dealer group that owned 40 dealerships and they could pull cars from any dealership; they would defiantly have what we need. Once we were pre-approved, after waiting 10 days to hear if we were approved, we were called down to the dealership, by a different salesman then who we had been dealing with, to "drive away today", to arrive and discover we could drive away in a Toyota Corolla. A 5 seat vehicle; means no family trips because someone would have to stay behind. We turned it down once. We were contacted again, after I emailed our sale guy asking what was going on, to be told the Corolla was our only option, and we could keep our current truck, and they would give us $1000 cash for taking the Corolla. So our monthly car expenses would double, on top of a new car loan; makes perfect sense.... not. So, we turned down the Corolla again and have not heard from the Nanaimo Mitsubishi since; we still do not have a new vehicle, yet have a pre-approval sitting in their files. Now, we have to begin this while process all over again. Thanks Mitsubishi!! More
