All they did was reset the trouble codes which takes 30 seconds and charged me for a whole hour explaining a road test was needed. Sent me on my way only to drive back home to another province and light came on again. Had to rent a hotel and waste money at a hotel in a different town 5 hrs away from Nanaimo to troubleshoot the issue. In which a competent service team at another dealership discovered it was the alternator. Needless to say if you want half xxx service and a quick band aid over your problem Nanaimo Chrysler is the optimal choice. I will never go to this dealership again. I'd suggest taking the time to find a good technical service team. I'd give zero stars if it was possible. More

Purchased two weeks ago and the sales experience went well with both the sales representative and sales manager being willing to make a reasonable deal and allowance for a fair trade in on our older vehicle. Business staff were very accommodating as well. They took the time to methodically go over the car's features and explain its operation on day of pickup. No use of service as yet but did find this dealership much more pleasant, helpful in answering our questions and less pressuring than their competitors Parksville and Woodgrove dealerships. I would not hesitated to purchase another car or to recommend this dealership to my friends and relatives. We spent a fair amount of time with them during the process and found them to be extremely courteous and professional. Note: Marked as FCA Chrysler purchase given lack of Fiat choice. More

Time for some preventive maintenance for my Hemi powerd truck so headed to Nanaimo Chrysler. A little disapointed that part was not in stock. We took our 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan into Kal Tire to have a flat repaired and they told me I needed brakes, rotors pads & calipers replaced and gave me a quote for $800. I said thank you and immediately took it to Nanaimo Chrysler, where we bought the van less than five months previously Their service writer told me I likely didn't need calipers replaced (Kal Tire was trying to sell me service I didn't need), but if I did they would be covered under warranty, which I was unaware that I had. Because I supposedly had a warranty for part of the work that might have been needed, I didn't feel the need to get further quotes and scheduled the service. I wish I had known they write warranties with disappearing ink! The next day after I dropped the van off and the shuttle took me home I was phoned by their service writer who told me that the warranty expired a couple of weeks ago and that my van did indeed, need calipers. It took me a minute to realize that I had been sold service in bad faith after I hung up with the service writer. In the end of the day, whether this was limitation of the system, or eschewing of facts by the service writer in order to get work, the trust was broken. If a warranty had not been a factor, I would have certainly solicited more quotes. This is sufficient reason not to go back. In addition to this all of this work was needed less than five months after purchasing the van from Nanaimo Chrysler, having been "safety inspected" before our purchase. More
