Customer service? I sold back my 2011 TDI to Volkswagen & even though I felt like I was lied to by a major corporation I thought they (Volkswagen) would make xxxx sure I sold back my 2011 TDI to Volkswagen & even though I felt like I was lied to by a major corporation I thought they (Volkswagen) would make xxxx sure to win my trust back so I bought my 2013 Tiguan mid September 2017, when I bought the car the 2 sales personal told me that the brakes were just done & I willingly bought the extended warranty in case of of any issues (considering I bought it used) Fast forward to June 2018, the side mirror switch was dead & the back brakes were squeaking so I being it in...first they phone me to tell me that the brakes are going to be $650 before tax & labour, I say that's not right because the brakes would only have 14-18,000 kilometers on them & they were new, she politely states that only the 'front' brakes were replaced, got into a bit of a disagreement with the sales manager who pretty much called me a liar, then on top of all of that the side mirror switch was under warranty but there's a $100 deductible, the part before tax was $85, I have never heard of a deductible on a warranty, needless to say I was not in any way satisfied.. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER - DO NOT BUY HERE - TOTAL SCAM If there was an option to give no stars, that's what I would have chosen. We came to this dealership looking to finance a used car. Lu greeted us at t If there was an option to give no stars, that's what I would have chosen. We came to this dealership looking to finance a used car. Lu greeted us at the door and very quickly took us into the lot and pointed out a few options. He was very friendly, although also quite pushy, and eventually after going over some details, we decided to take it for a test drive. The car was great and we decided to go through with purchasing/financing the car. This was where the frustration began. As to be expected with any used car, we were preparing to negotiate on a few things - price and/or winter tires etc. They would not budge and in fact told us they should be raising the price. We made it very clear that we were not satisfied with this ridiculous lack of compromise and eventually convinced them to give us a $300 service credit towards oil changes and service in the future. We signed the deal that same day, and in the finance manager's office, we were told that everything had been approved financially. The following night right before close, we got a call saying they could not honor the deal we had signed and agreed upon. They said in order to go through with the car we would have to either double our interest rate, or double the down payment. This is completely unacceptable. Not only had the deal been signed, but we had also been told it was approved, and now they were trying to take advantage of us by changing the contract terms. We were having none of it. So the next day we dealt with phone call after phone call where the dealership tried to convince us there was nothing they could do but that we should still go through with the deal. We were extremely unsatisfied with this and decided to call off the deal since they had changed the terms. The following morning we received a phone call from them saying we could not back out of the deal now because we had signed a contract - which is true, except for the fact that they changed the contract so now it was no longer valid, and we wanted out as fast as possible to get away from this dealership for once and for all. As soon as they realized we were serious about calling off the deal, they tried to convince us that they could honor the initial deal - clearly indicating that they were trying to scam us and take advantage of us the entire time, hoping we wouldn't notice. News flash: we did! We have since called OMVIC to have a complaint put on the dealerships file, and the deal is off. We absolutely do not recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a car. They take advantage of their customers and try to scare them into deceitful deals, and this is not acceptable. Avoid this place at all costs. More
Awful experience from one of their employees! One day, I was there to finish a purchasing. Since I got a better (3000 more) offer from the Jeep dealer for my trade-in vehicle(where I did service), and I asked if they can provide me anything close to jeep provided to me... One of their employees were pissed and pointed at me and saying I am dishonored to them... He also asked me to pay them the time they spent on me... I was totally shocked, as I went to their dealer store is to negotiate and try to protect my benefit. I never say I do not want to buy ur car anymore... I do not think I am dishorned to anyone since I have not pay them yet... I do not even think I betrayed to anyone since it was Jeep contacted me(They just called me and said they felt my car was in a great condition and they would like to provide me a great offer). I definitely felt assaulted... Also, they never explain anything to me! More
Rip-off experience. Worst service experience ever. I bought a brand new Jetta on the summer 2016. The fall of 2017 I needed a front bulb replacement, so I decided to go to VW Myers in Kanata for an oil I bought a brand new Jetta on the summer 2016. The fall of 2017 I needed a front bulb replacement, so I decided to go to VW Myers in Kanata for an oil change, the bulb replacement and good general check because the car was running out of warranty. I also bought an extended warranty for more than $3,3745 while waiting for the service After an hour I was told that there were some problems with the bulb replacement and that it will take an hour an a half more. I said that I have the time to wait, but they said that they will charge me for all this extended time to replace the bulb. That is like $100 for a $5 bulb. I said I would't pay for any extra time because they are experts on changing a bulb, but they insisted that there was corrosion and they wouldn't damage the front light. I said, the car is fairly new and there is a warranty and now extended warranty, however they said it wouldn't be covered by the warranty. Later on the same week my car dashboard light warned me to stop, which I did and in my inspection I found that the coolant was BELOW THE MINIMUM!!! This basic thing of cheking fluids was ignored at Myers. I wonder if they actually changed the oil..... And yes, I cancelled the extended warranty More
Worthless Service and Parts I can't believe how useless this dealership is. I've let a couple brutal service appointments go unnoticed, but I've just had a sales issue so I'm le I can't believe how useless this dealership is. I've let a couple brutal service appointments go unnoticed, but I've just had a sales issue so I'm letting people know that they should stay away. On one occasion I dropped my car off at 6:30am for a simple recall. I returned at 5:30pm and they were NOT FINISHED! It took an hour of me sitting in the waiting room till they completed the work. A more recent time I took advantage of a free 30 point inspection and to check a tire. Tire had a nail and was repaired for $40. Again, it was there all day. I went to my car to see the driver's door sill all scuffed up with dirt. I put the key in and a head light indicator was on? Isn't that what an inspection is for? Even more recently I purchased 5 spark plugs as I don't trust their mechanics anymore and it's been suggested to me many times to only use their dealer plugs for my model. Fella put the plugs in a bag and away I went (129.89 for 5 plugs on the bill) couple days later I took car to buddy and received a text from him that there was only 4 plugs in bag and that he looked all thru car with no luck. I went to dealer on a saturday at 4:45pm and it was closed, but the sales area was open. Tried to explain situation to a fella and was met with a robot response that no one could help me. To me, the experiences I have had are far from any type of customer service. Whoever the manager person is that emails me afterwards is not doing his job either as after a couple of emails of me describing my dissatisfaction with the service, he disappears. My advise and what I will do from now on, is that if my VW has to go to a dealer, I will take the time to drive across Ottawa to another dealership. This location bites the big hard one. By the way, I have owned 5 VWs in my life, I'm a loyal purchaser with no appreciation in return from this dealership. More
Disapointing to the the least I recently brought my 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan in for service because the sunroof was not closing properly and had some leaks. Found out that the sunroo I recently brought my 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan in for service because the sunroof was not closing properly and had some leaks. Found out that the sunroof frame needed to be replaced (thankfully covered under warranty). Upon receiving my vehicle back, I could not believe the amount of greasy fingerprints left behind all over my headliner. I returned a few days later to ask for them to remove the finger prints as well as fix the noise that was coming from the new sunroof. Once picking it up AGAIN, finger prints were half-assed cleaned off but the noise was gone. Long story short, I brought my car in 4 times for them to remove the finger prints as it is a brand new vehicle and those prints were not there before I brought it in. The final time, I was so frustrated I just made a statement to the service reps that their technicians need to take more caution or wear gloves when working on interiors and that I would not be returning. There was one service rep, Matt, who actually showed some empathy and said "I would be pissed if it was my car, I will go get Sean". He went and retrieved the Manager. Sean came out, I had to visually point out the marks to him for him to say oh okay, guess we will replace the headliner. I informed him I would be leaving town but would return to hopefully have this issue fixed. I have yet to hear from them and doubt I will. There is also a broken airbag tag located in the back of my car that was not like that previous to servicing, assistant manager said oh they wouldn't have done that... I have decided to put up with the fact that my headliner has stains on it from reckless mechanics who clearly don't care about customers satisfaction, or worse, that the service reps also could care less. I'd rather a dirty headliner then who knows what kind of job they would do on replacing it. I could go on about their customer service, explaining how they couldn't get a hold of me since my phone went to voicemail.. but did they leave a message? NO. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE FOR SERVICING. This is beyond frustrating as I drive by this dealership everyday but will need to bring it to other dealerships as they are not to be trusted. They pretend to care. I also want to mention the surveys they send out, after being involved with the service department at least 5 times, I have yet to receive a survey.. They must really care what their customers think. More
Can't trust service or sales A service technician repeatedly floored my car (GTI and I have proof from an onboard tracker) when I asked them to look into a noise audible only when A service technician repeatedly floored my car (GTI and I have proof from an onboard tracker) when I asked them to look into a noise audible only when driving at low revs on the highway. The service manager apologized but my next appointment the service rep wanted to charge me for something I felt should be under warrantee. Eventually the manager offered the free service but my trust and respect was lost. Next I went in to ask about the 2018 Golf R. I waited 15 minutes and once Stacey Knowles finally arrived there was no apology, he looked agitated. I asked if there was an order guide for the car and he said no yet when I went to Bytek they were able to show me it. I asked for a $500 deposit instead of $1000 and he said no, then Bytek said yes. I asked about test drives and he treated me like an 18 year old looking for a joy ride; I was so frustrated with him I had to walk away from him. I emailed another representative, Matt Gregor, and told him about my poor experience. He did not reply. When I went to Bytek, Kris Peshev was welcoming, appreciated my time and great to deal with. They even have a Government Employee discount there (which Myers doesn't offer). I cannot suggest Myers, go to Bytek. More
Service department Almost every time we have taken our vehicle to Meyers for service work it comes out worse than when it went in and of course it is never there fault. Almost every time we have taken our vehicle to Meyers for service work it comes out worse than when it went in and of course it is never there fault.Went for an oil change once and didn't get the vehicle back for a week. Final straw now dont trust them to even fix what they messed up car will barely start. Will take it to another garage to fix what they did wrong. I can't believe they stay in business. More
