Bought my 2013 Santa Fe XL Limited from Chris Beer. Chris sold my father his Santa Fe a couple of years ago and i knew the experience would be a good one. Never pushy, always upfront. I negotiated with a bunch of dealers at the same time and although Kanata Hyundai did not have the best price, I bit the bullet because the best price came from a local dealer with less that favourable reputation. The peace of mind that I would not experience any "funny business with Kanata was worth the extra few hundred dollars. Besides, the price I got on a brand new car that was available just about nowhere was fantastic....much more than I expected. Contract process was quick and easy. They got my new SF in a miraculous 4 weeks...much quicker than I expected. I would caution though, for anyone as anal as I am, to check the vehicle over thoroughly when pick up. Seems their prep person does not use a very clean mitt to wash the vehicle. I had numerous fine scratches all over the vehicle which I ended up polishing out. The dealer would have taken care of it, but I prefer to do exterior detailing myself. More

As a sales person I know what it's like to be on the other side of the desk and I have to tell you, Roy was amazing. I knew going in I not only wanted a new car, but I needed one as mine was broken. I knew I could easily have chosen used, and we did look at the numbers, but it made sense to purchase something, new, reliable and with the backing of a great company coupled with the the expertise of Roy. He never once pressured me. He was kind, courteous and genial in his presentation. I hestitate to say sales pitch as I was never made feel that I must sign on the line immediately. No matter how many questions I asked, he had an honest answer. A short time ago I took my daughter to meet Roy and she too purchased her car from him. I have only just brought my car home today. It was a joy to go pick it up. Mr Chris MacCready was there as well to shake my hand and today was full of smiles. When I was qualifying for my loan I was very nervous but he made even that experience relaxed. As I am on my own for the first time in my life, money matters in a sense that I never had to consider before. Every penny was accounted for. There were no hidden fee's...though I kept asking. No surprises. No 'forgot to mention' moments. What we talked about on day one, is what I signed for today. So thank you to Mr Roy Younes for putting me in a brand new affordable car, with air conditioning (first time in 5 years) . Thank you for finding me that FANTASTIC green I wanted so badly and delivering it to me in less than a week. I nickname all my cars and this one is 'Stanley' Thank you to Mr MacCready for taking the pain out of the loans department and for shaking my hand. That meant a lot to me. I would be remiss if I did not send my sincere thanks for the service provided to us by Roy Younes when we bought our new 2013 Santa Fe at the end of January 2013. I had been looking for a new vehicle on an the service provided to us by Roy Younes when we bought our new 2013 Santa Fe at the end of January 2013. I had been looking for a new vehicle on and off for a over a year. I never felt impressed by any SUV-type vehicle in this price range until I test drove the new 2013 Santa Fe. After a year or so, the whole automobile shopping experience was becoming painful and demoralizing. Roy was kind, knowledgeable, courteous and his enthusiasm was refreshing. My wife and I never felt pressured and Roy's enthusiasm for Hyundai in no way hindered the professionalism he showed us. I cannot recall the last time I met an automotive salesman who loved what he did so much. I definitely plan to refer friends & colleagues to Myers Hyundai Kanata. My Partner and I visited Myers Kanata Hyundai on April 4th, 2013 ready to purchase a Hyundai Elantra from Roy. We had visited 1 day earlier and had decided to take an evening to make our final decision. R 4th, 2013 ready to purchase a Hyundai Elantra from Roy. We had visited 1 day earlier and had decided to take an evening to make our final decision. Roy had provided us with an extremely messy and confusing written quote which we may have misunderstood, but we were under the impression from our initial meeting that the car was less expensive than it actually was. We decided we would reconsider, as this was a significant change from what we had originally anticipated. As we were about to leave Roy asked if he could get the cost down to a certain price per month if we would take it. We agree'd on a price per month and he gave us the final quote. However, he priced it bi-weekly instead of monthly so even though the payments MOST months would be what we agreed, two month of the year would be significantly higher (due to bi-weekly payments happening 26x per year and not always 2 per month). When we addressed this with him he said "well it would be what I said MOST months". When I say I want a certain price per month, I definitely meant all 12 of them. As complicated as that all is, I basically felt I was being rushed into agreeing to terms that were deceptive (the mistake started out as an honest misunderstanding but definitely turned into something else). Roy proceeded to trash another dealership by saying that they had bad online reviews (I looked online at this other dealership and found mostly positive reviews). I did believe however that this was probably the best deal I would get on a hyundai so I immediately drove to the dealership Roy had trashed, explained the situation to them and purchased the car for the same offer Roy gave us (they actually gave us free liners for our car, and a slightly lower monthly payment than what Roy had offered). When visiting this dealership make sure any notes your leave with are clearly written and that you TRIPLE check your numbers. Anyway, I'll be happily driving a Hyundai in the near future this dealership just soured my experience so much that I was willing to pay the same price elsewhere, the exact same day! More
I feel compelled to share the wonderful experience I had with Myers Kanata Hyundai. Having had a few glimpses of the Veloster Turbo (VT) on the road I was truly impressed by the design. One day I found m with Myers Kanata Hyundai. Having had a few glimpses of the Veloster Turbo (VT) on the road I was truly impressed by the design. One day I found myself heading to the Kanata dealership which is near my home, just to have a closer look. I was interested in a hatchback, something I could load cargo in when necessary but something that was sporty as well. The VT hit the mark bang on. The car was so new in the Hyundai line up that the model I was interested in wasn't available for a test drive that day. Chris Beer, my sales rep was fabulous, very knowledgeable, personable and never pushy. I started by road testing the base automatic just to get a feel for size, I'm very tall and leg room is important. A week or so later Chris called to say there was a 6 speed available for a test drive, that gave me the opportunity to experience the manual shift. I was impressed. But I was interested in the Turbo, which is about 60 horsepower stronger and has a lot of extra options and styling. Finally a Turbo arrived and again, Chris and I hit the road, the car was incredible! I was sold. Sitting with Chris MacCready, the financial administrator, was a great experience he clearly stated my options and explained everything very well. I never felt rushed. I ordered the car in January for a Spring delivery. By the time the final paperwork was done the financing rate had gone down considerably and they happily honoured the new rate. Last Saturday was the big day, I picked up my car. I can't begin to describe how excited I was and how incredibly well I was treated. It was like I had been invited to a reception in my honour. I was brought in to a clean pick up/inspection area where my beautiful orange VT was parked with a big balloon on top of it. Chris took me though the details of the car inside and out. Explaining every option, switch, guage and accessory. I was never hurried for one moment, Chris spent almost 2 hours with me. He even helped sync my phone to the bluetooth tech system for me. When all was said and done I was asked to come back in to the showroom to speak with the manager Scott Liston. All the other sales reps were standing at the counter as well when he shook my hand and thanked me for my business and wished me well with my new car. Wow. I can't say enough about the amazing experience and journey I had with Myers Kanata Hyundai buying my first brand new car in over 20 year. Chris and the entire team are to be commended.
