Good Afternoon Kim, I would like to start by apologizing for your experience with our dealership it is certainly not the way we wish to treat people. Car buying can often be a very frustrating experience there are so many terms and options that things can quickly become confused. I’m not going to debate who did what when because at the end of the day only you the customer’s opinion is important. I have sat down with both Roy and the sales manager involved and reviewed your situation and I clearly see where they took some short cuts and made some assumptions they should not have. We take situations like yours to try to learn and improve our process and procedures so that we can avoid repeating past mistakes for this I would like to thank-you for letting us know. Having said this I wish you would have contacted us directly instead of going though a third party web site. We watch and care greatly about our reputation and customer satisfaction and work hard to be one of the best Hyundai dealers in Canada (currently the top rated A dealer in canada over the last three years). I edited my review slightly to be somewhat less negative and not reveal the pricing we were given, but I will be making no drastic changes. I had a terrible experience, and used a third party website created to share both negative and positive experiences with dealers to the public. As I stated in my review my experience was so poor I bought the same car, the same day for the same price elsewhere. Though I'm sure your dealership doesn't always operate like this, this was my experience and it was negative to the point that I felt it necessary to "warn" other people. I agree this situation definitely arose from a misunderstanding but Roy also slandered another dealership. For me that type of behavior crosses the line and I'd encourage your staff in the future not to out rightly trash other dealerships, it's tacky.
