That is very disappointing to us, and through this program we have the opportunity to work with you to resolve any issues with your experience at the dealership. I have spoken with the management and the people involved, I would like to start by apologizing for the lengthy delay in finalizing your purchase. Admittedly the entire process typically runs less than 90 minutes. Upon reviewing the deal I can share with you that the total profit was exactly as the Manager stated. The vehicle was sold to you for 3% over dealer cost which may explain why he was reluctant to discount the price any further. If you wish I would be happy to provide you with the cost of the vehicle from an independent company known as Car Cost Canada to substantiate what my Manager was saying. I agree that it was unnecessary for the Manager to stated over and over again that someone else would pay more for the same vehicle although accurate it was simply irrelevant. After purchasing the vehicle it is a legal requirement that we inform each and every client of all of the financial details of the transaction and share with them each and every product that is available. This would include but is not limited to; extended warranties, loan insurance and various chemical protections. I realize that it made for a long day and I can assure you that the process is designed to efficiently ensure that you are offered these products in a 20 -30 minute private consultation. Once again I would like to offer you my apologies and to offer to cancel the deal and return your deposit in full, should you wish. We encourage you to purchase a Honda product from another Dealership and trust that you will have a more positive experience. Please feel free to contact me personally. Hi Pat: I am pleasantly surprised to see someone senior respond to my comments. I wish your response had come earlier, I would’ve jumped on your offer to cancel the deal. But I have taken the delivery for the car now. Richard worked professionally, closed paper-work etc and gave the delivery. Since I have taken the vehicle now and I don’t know, if I can undo this purchase, without incurring losses in insurance, credit-rating, taxes etc. If it is possible, I would still do it. I have worked in design side of some Honda vehicles and I have association with their products. I wouldn’t think twice about Honda. If I had a choice, I would definitely feel more comfortable buying from a different dealer. But anyway, it was good to, at least see your response. Thanks. Rohit

Hi Pat: I am not sure if reversing the deal would be feasible. I am in Montreal today, for business travel and cannot be back before Saturday. Car is safely parked at my place, and noone is driving it. If it is possible to reverse the deal on Saturday, I can bring the car, with same milage. If it is too late and not possible for you to do this by Saturday, then I can live with your personal assurance of better service in the future. Thanks Rohit

Again Rohit I apologies for any inconvenience To be candid Rohit I can assure you of better service in the future we have been ranked as a top dealer for several years selling over 5000 cars in the last 4 years, although your experience here was one we definitely could have done a better job of. I cannot have you feel that we cheated you on any price; you were given an extremely fair price that I believe you will find difficulty to match; I take a lot of pride in dealing fairly with all the clients who do business with us. For that reason I agree to take the car back as you have requested on Saturday and of course return to you any deposits and completely reverse the deal for you. Saturday is fine it should only take a few minutes. Please Rohit do ensure that no one does drive the vehicle between now and then. Have a safe trip back and please if you can let me know what time you will be in I can ensure that you are in and out as quickly as possible.
