PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING TO HONDA! !!! Today i went in to Midland Honda with a issue with my rack in pinion and i asked them to do a inspect to be 100% certain it was the rack in pinio !!! Today i went in to Midland Honda with a issue with my rack in pinion and i asked them to do a inspect to be 100% certain it was the rack in pinion. I also went in there to make a trade for my truck and my car to buy a newer truck and car. I talked to Jackson (who was great) i was going back Thursday to make the trade into 2 newer vehicles. Back story my dad was a mechanic for 50 years and i grew up in the garage with him, and even have some collage, But i was not 100% comfortable saying it was the rack in pinion on my own. So i took it into Midland Honda. Once i got the message saying the truck was done i went to the counter greeted pretty rudely by the female, I was charged $118.99 (which is fine by me) for an inspection but once i started asking questions about the inspection is where all the red flags started. With this $118.99 charge they couldn't tell me what the problem was unless i spent $265 more for them to take off the tie rod to inspect the rack in pinion. But i know 100% if you rock the wheel left and right you will be able to see where the play was happening without even taking off the wheel or anything for that matter. It takes one person to shake the wheel and look over to see this issue. Then after this "inspection" i would need another alignment done. Now my inner and outer tie rods were replaced last July and Aligned by them and i have only put 5300 kms on the truck. When i left visibly pissed off i ran into Peter (President) and Richard (General manager) At first i was emotional and pissed but i took a minute and apologized for my actions. I explained everything to them on how i felt gouged with zero answers and them wanting me to pay $265 + 150 after already paying the $118. After me trying to explain that this was not right and they were gouging people, Peter went inside leaving Richard outside and in my face, I then told him to step back, because you're being a "Dick". He then said my dad was a "joke and wasn't a good mechanic and didn't know anything", he also said "i only hire the best mechanics, all the other ones don't know what they are talking about." This is the point where i started to record on my phone, I start saying he is being really "Professional" and he comes back saying "your a child my friend, With a big mouth and i am today's Canadian"(i am born and raised in Toronto Ontario. i have a dark tan so i guess he thought i was not from Canada.) Also saying i am "Garbage", "I'm being an xxxxxxx", "Shut up". He is very disrespectful, and NOBODY should support this kind of behavior. Yes i did say he was being a dick for getting in my face, But the level that he took it was over the top i have video proof of the last 1 min and 34 sec. I tried to leave while sitting in my truck but he was so close i didn't want to hit him and get an "assault charge". More

Zero starts ought to be an option. Had a recall for fuel valve. Jennifer (service tech) said would only take 45mins. My Honda had winter tires on it. Went shopping across street and when I came back, she said “our technician broke a part of your car trying to remove gasket. It’s a known issue. This has happened to 5 other cars and we’ll need to keep you car indefinitely”. That was Dec2nd. They get me a rental, without snow tires, on the date of pickup. Had the biggest snowfall of the year. Honda Midland’s owner, Dick Davies, refused to credit me back the $407 fee for winter tires. After a long battle with Honda Canada, Dick Davies called me and ai calmly explained my dissatisfaction. He claimed no ownership and insinuated that I broke the car (that was in great shape when I dropped it off). Though I was calm and polite, he hung-up on me and texted me this. “ You are welcome! Please take your business somewhere else, for someone in business you are clueless! keep moaning to Honda” This, after I already told him the service there has always been good. Needless to say, he’s a pompous, arrogant person who can’t take the slightest critique that would help his dealership. Buyer beware. I recommend you drive the extra hour and go see Dan at Honda Barrie instead. Dick Davies, Peter B and Alan Sylvester (midland Honda) think of their customers as dollar signs and not as people. Was considering buying a Honda from a different brand dealer. It was certified but I took it to Midland Honda for a further once over. Was I ever glad I did. Jennifer Mitchell of the service team was outstanding. |She got me in on short notice and coordinated having the techs do a quick review. Wow..there were several leaks they found..to repair would have been about $2100..needless to say I did not buy the car. If it wasnt for Jennifer and her team I would have bought a car that would have drained my bank account. Thanks again to Jen and the team at Midland Honda More

We bought a used pickup for a lot of money, we paid for the extended warranty, and when we picked the vehicle up the heat shield was very noisy on start up and the park-neutral switch was failing. Due to t the extended warranty, and when we picked the vehicle up the heat shield was very noisy on start up and the park-neutral switch was failing. Due to the parts being delayed it was in 3 times for the repairs driving two vehicles from Barrie to Midland at our cost of fuel ($120 approximately for the three trips) We had even informed the service department that we would be waiting for the repair, while in Barrie, and told us to come and they will get the repairs completed, that day. After being there for half hour we were told they would not be able to complete repairs on that day and we would have to come back. On the third trip they finally completed the repairs, after we pick our keys off the counter we proceeded to search and find our vehicle in the middle of the back parking lot, and after a walk around noticed that when working on our truck they failed to use the quarter panel blanket to protect the truck from grease and scratches. I guess buyers beware in any scenario when purchasing a vehicle, even from a dealership. Not Happy with Midland Honda’s customer service at all. PS I sent emails and had no response and asked for help in this matter. And there is a prime example of customer service. I will never deal with Midland Honda or will I ever recommend them. More
I took my Acura RDX in for a repair to the knock sensor. After paying over $500.00 to have it replaced six weeks later it had the same problem. I took it back to the dealership and was told it was not und After paying over $500.00 to have it replaced six weeks later it had the same problem. I took it back to the dealership and was told it was not under warranty, and furthermore they are not an Acura dealership. Last I checked Acura is a Honda brand. They had no issue taking my money from an 85 year old senior on a fixed income. This a dealership to avoid unless you do not mind being ripped off. More
