Best experience ever with Jeff Peppin as our sales guy and Colin Hartle in finance. They really made us feel valued and really cared in making the whole experience rather enjoyable. It was painless, fair and even a little fun along the way. Jeff went out of his way to stay at the dealership until 9.30pm when the deal was all said and done when his finish time was 6pm. He went over and above as did Colin. Great team! Super happy we were referred. Oh and we love our new to us F150. More
Brought 1999 Explorer Sport in for driver door lock service at 7am. When called with diagnostics at 9:40am a locking mechanism had to be ordered locally for repair. Tried to up-sell me on door handle r service at 7am. When called with diagnostics at 9:40am a locking mechanism had to be ordered locally for repair. Tried to up-sell me on door handle replacement $100+. (not needed). Vehicle was not finished till 4:40pm. Was told 1 - 1/2 hrs labor to complete job. Charged over 2hrs. Merlin had vehicle for almost 10hrs. What happened to first in first out. That's why I scheduled service at 7am opening .This type of disrespect for customers is not to be tolerated. Vehicle should have been completed at 2pm latest, not 4:40pm. Unsympathetic and dumb service advisors. My Explorer sat, while they worked on other vehicles that came in after me. This was confirmed by the shuttle driver that dropped and picked me up. Merlin ford does not put customer first, otherwise they would have completed my SUV 3hrs earlier. More
Purchased a used vehicle here in Nov. Confusing and misleading offer sheets, and the conditions of the sale were initially not followed. While the dealership eventually made everything right, the experience was stressful, time consuming, and most of all met with incompetence and short cutting. My sales person (Marlon) was phenomenal and communicated well, but unfortunately that’s where it stopped. Emails to other associates and managers were either not returned in a timely manner or not at all. Constant reminders and follow-up was absolutely required. And upon delivery of the vehicle it was rushed, and corners cut. Get everything in writing, and be sure to triple check and follow up. Shouldn’t be this hard to make a deal with what I thought was a reputable dealership. More
Long story short these people messed up royally and made an unfortunate SGI claim worse, they just kept dropping the ball...no apologies from their end just excuses & evasiveness. Dealing with Merlin has been a frustrating, angering, disappointing, insulting and costly experience. Originally an SGI hit & run claim starting February 2024 on my nearly new 2023 Bronco Sport Badlands. I have been back and forth to get the work done right 5 times, spanning months, equalling 22++ extra loss of use days...and will spend more time before it's done right, at another dealer.. Thousand$ in extra damage was caused by Merlin technicians and not fixed properly or expediently(I found the bolt and clips pictured on the floorboard a month or so after my dash, which they damaged, was "repaired"). Had to call in SGI to audit the repairs and non-matching paintwork done by Merlin. Sloppy work, poor customer relations, a managerial attitude of denial & hostility and a general inability to accept responsibility... All of these have been on full display at Merlin Ford. I have more pictures I could post but you get the idea. Think carefully about trusting the Merlin team for your autobody or service needs. Merlin replied to my review with NO real answers or remedies other than to phone their general number..I emailed the service manager with their "promise" letter and dash parts on top of it and NO response .. These folks are LOSERS don't deal with them!!! !!! I WOULDN'T TRUST THEM TO WORK ON A WHEELBARROW !!! More
I used to love this dealership. Electrical issues they couldn’t fix they had the truck for months and told me to bad you can trade it in if you want. I tried talking to ford and they told me it was Merlin’s issue to make right and Merlin told me it was fords responsibility to make right and that got me nowhere. Only good person there was the service guy I dealt with. Sales and management are garbage save your money and go else where. They even continue to contact me wanting me to buy again from them. Never gonna happen. More
Would not help me fix my flat tire as a walk-in even when it’s protocol for roadside assistance to bring a Ford vehicle to the nearest Ford dealership. I’ve already brought this matter up with Ford Canada and even spoke with dealerships within a 150km radius to tell them of how dumb Merlin Ford is. I’ve never encountered such a stupid dealership in my life. More
Needed and oil change before heading out on a road trip and stopped in on a whim with my Civic. I was lucky enough to get in same day due to some cancellations and the service was great. Nice little lounge and stopped in on a whim with my Civic. I was lucky enough to get in same day due to some cancellations and the service was great. Nice little lounge area with coffee and pop while I waited. My service advisor was friendly and easy to deal with. Now considering buying a Ford or Lincoln! More
