Smart Car Purchase 2017 I had been looking to test drive a smart car in the Brampton area in Septemeber. I was very disappointed that in the football stadium sized dealershi I had been looking to test drive a smart car in the Brampton area in Septemeber. I was very disappointed that in the football stadium sized dealership they had not one demo Smart available to test drive. I called MB Barrie and was delighted to learn they had two or three on the lot. Upon arrival I was greeted by a very friendly professional sales agent, Danielle Jeffreys. She offered to take me on a test drive. I was encouraged to take time and drive it until I was satisfied. In total we were out about 25 minutes. I liked the car and because I was waiting on some money to be freed up, tasked Danielle to try to find me what I wanted even though it was the end of the model year. She diligently followed through and by the next week I had purchased my vehicle from her. A very good experience with Danielle even though it was over the phone purchase and not a traditional purchase experience. I was also very impressed by the gentleman who showed me how everything worked on the car when I took delivery. Very friendly and deferential. Where this dealership could improve is by telling me about the benefits of prepurchasing a service package at MB. It is a substantial savings for the purchaser. The person I gave the cheque to looked like she didn't know what I was taking about. I purchased the package as an after sale add on. Not sure whether they are time sensitive but it would be in anybody's best interest to educate yourself before going to a dealer. As a side note after picking up my car i went over to the local Tim's for a coffee. When I came back out the car wouldn't start. Even though my wheels were straight I managed to lock out the steering wheel. All this to say Megan from service who had actually prepped my car, came over and was super friendly in helping me resolve this when she saw I was having difficulty. Shout out to Megan for great customer service even though she was on her lunch! Over all their product knowledge on the Smart was lacking. Perhaps this is because it is a MB product rather than an actual MB emblem bearing unit? Not sure I would recommend this dealership for the above reason. Hey they may be stellar on a higher end Mercedes but I can't say. However I was nicely treated even though I bought the poorer relation! More
Pleasant straight shooters "BUT" maybe too good? I know the title sounds a bit contradictory but let me explain. I have up to this point had nothing but pleasant memories of Mercedes Barrie. Any work required required on my 2015 GLK 250 has been without issue. Some warranty items cropped up and were handled perfectly( no unpleasant surprises like I encountered with a jeep dealer and a new jeep) anyways wont harp on that, im one happy guy. I live in North Bay so there is a bit of a commute in order to get down there. I have been finding that booking an appointment is not so easy. Close to a two week waiting list to get in for routine servicing. Not their fault, must congratulate them on being so successful. With that said i find that a bit over the top for waiting time. Possibly their scheduling is based on procedures dont know? With the possiblity of thinking of trading in and upgrading to a new vehicle i would have to take some sober thought on the wait times i will encounter even on a new vehicle if something should break down More

I had to tell him about the promotions since i have been shopping around. personally they were the worst dealership i've dealt with. More

Waste of time Found car on website. Doesn't say anything about accidents. Called them... "car is great... you will like it...come and see...". Unless I asked I'll n Found car on website. Another issue is that they have car proof which says car had accident, but not saying anything about where was damage and for how much (I can't believe car proof doesn't show this information). OK. Decide to go and check car personally. Told them it's hour drive for me and I'm coming with little baby. They said ok. We will wait for you. When I came there, Mary said I'm sorry, but 10 minutes ago some one buy the car. I spend 2 hours (there and back) with little baby so they can say to me "even if you have appointment, we sold the car and decide not to call you and let you know, so you will not waste your time coming here" Just waste of time... More
