I opted to try them when Max (Used trade-in manager) stayed 1 hour after hours to point out for me all the differences between the ram 1500's. I can't say a bad thing about him! This was before we even decided to buy - he was locking the gate as I went to look at trucks and he opened it up for me to look. That is great customer service! He seemed surprised about the reputation comments that I had heard about. We had Tim H. as our sales rep and he was okay but we always had to wait until the next day to hear back from him except when he wanted something from us. Tim always did what he could for us but never ever mentioned the $6000 discount offered to various companies/unions - one of which I belonged to. I'm not sure if he is not allowed but, in the end, this partially affected the deal. However; it was not the deal breaker - that came from the big manager of the dealership. We test drove a fully loaded Ram 1500 Laramie with all the side options added in and loved it. However, I said to Tim after the test drive, "We love the truck, but I will not buy one without the cover. If you guys are willing to throw in a cover for us, I'd consider this deal closed and the truck sold!" He took it upstairs to management, came down right away, held out his hand to shake mine, and said, "Everything is good from our end!" "So, we have a deal?" I asked. He said, "Looks that way if financing is ok!" That was great news and we were happy. The next day Tim called stating that the bank wants a $7000 deposit, 9.99% interest over 96 months. I flat out said, "Not going to happen!" The day after that, he called again saying, "I have good news and bad news! You are getting the truck with 84 months rather than the 96 months and 6.49% interest (Bad credit) from 9.99% initially quoted. But, we cannot give you the cover because the banks will not finance for anymore money." "What?" I said, "This has nothing to do with the banks - this is about integrity and the handshake when all was approved upstairs and now they want renege on the deal?" He said they'd lose money but would explain it all to us when we came in the next day. He did say that he would give us the cover at his price of $1100 from $1500. We opted NOT to tell him that we had already been pre-approved for a $60,000 car loan elsewhere so asking for $7000 down threw us off. The next morning, I called and left a message on his voice-mail asking Tim to please take it back upstairs and ask them to reconsider since we shook on it and I cannot understand how this has anything to do with the bank. The Menzie's Dealership Manager, (Cannot recall his name), returned my call and we spoke for about 10 minutes. The jest of our conversation was him telling me that his financing person, Zain, had to pull favours from the institution to get us that interest rate and amortization and that the cover should never have been a part of the deal. I said, "Finding a good interest rate with amortization is his job and because he had to work a little harder to get this rate for us, you feel that it is okay to renege on the cover? That's like saying that I should get extra pay when I run dynamic cardiac arrests vs a basic one’s!" He said, "You are getting a great deal on the truck as it is because you are getting it below Menzie employee's rate and if I throw in a cover, we are taking a loss on the vehicle and the owners would come down on me for that!" I came back with, "No disrespect, but I doubt you would be taking a loss and it just sounds like because you got us a better interest rate and amortization, we should now pay for the cover. A deal is a deal and this was approved by management. If we had no credit issue, you would have sold it to us for 60 months with really low interest and thrown in the cover, right?" He said, "No way, and to be honest with you Frank, I would prefer you back out of the deal so we don't lose money. I don't want to lose you as a customer but I cannot throw in the cover for you. I totally understand if you want me to tear up the agreement, I will do it now. Is that what you want me to do?" I was awe-struck by his comment and felt speechless. Did he really just say that to me? I recovered and then I said, "No, I prefer to discuss the matter with my wife and we will get back to you today." (The conversation was civil but I did not like him trying to pressure me) I could not believe what he said and thought about it all night. For me, a handshake is confers respect, demonstrates integrity and it defines moral character. To renege on the cover was bad business. BUT, to tell me that he prefers I go somewhere else so he does not have to let the truck go at such a low cost? What is that? Right away, I contacted Williamson Chrysler in Uxbridge. (BTW, they respond to all correspondence within 1/2 an hour - not 30 hours later unless advised!) I gave them the identical specs and options from this truck and requested a quote; Blaine came back and asked if I belonged to CUPE. I do and I learned that they, and many other company employees, may be entitled to get a $13,000-$15,000 discount from Chrysler. (WHAT? Never heard about this at Menzie's) In the end, we are getting the exact same truck for $6000 less than Menzies SUPPOSED LOSS and they threw in the cover for free without me even requesting one! It was like being on two different continents. Oh, and that extra work Zain apparently put in to get us such a good rate? Williamson said that we were approved for the identical financing without any issues at all from the first bank they dealt with. Even though Zain mentioned the word, "Bank," numerous times, I wasn't sure if he was also misleading me. Blaine from Williamson's said that they all use the same banks but that some dealerships will go to outside sources like a credit union to get financing. I wondered if this was what he had done. Seems it was the same bank, Zain!!! So, I take back the valued appreciation for all that you did by "Pulling favours" to get us that financing and instead, I consider your tactic not very customer friendly. Nobody likes to be manipulated and that is what I was now feeling from this dealership. As Zain was returning our deposit, he said that we should be entitled to $1500 tax back from Williamson as well as all the other deals they gave us. Huh? Why is he telling us this after we are leaving rather than as a part of the offer to maintain good customer retention is beyond me! I will have to verify this with Blaine tomorrow though. In closing, Menzie's has lost two potential loyal customers as a result of our experience that could have all been avoided if they had just held up their end of the bargain for a simple cover. (2 more if you count my daughters) They would have still made a profit since we had no idea about the CUPE deal Chrysler offers. And, when I tell my friends and the two neighbours, that just purchased from Menzie's, about the Chrysler $6000 Companies/CUPE discount, $1500 tax back, Chrysler $8500 employee discount that is on right now, and that the $1500 cover was thrown in by Williamson's Uxbridge, they may lose two more. Word of mouth from people that still have their integrity intact goes a long way. Bad customer service is the number one way to sink a business. And, when I share this with my Masonic connections as well and those I work with in the Emergency Services.... well, need I say more? You never know how well connected a person is and why risk it when we all know that bad news travels so fast? I can't speak for others on here but I know that my integrity is in tack and my friends know that too, and that goes a long way when advice is requested. Menzies would do well to look at how Uxbridge Chrysler conducts business. The customer comes first, no pressure, no stress. They want to make it a comfortable fun experience when buying a vehicle. It should be an enjoyable one. There was no reason to hear Zain say we are getting 9.99%, and then need $7000 down, and then 6.49% - he should have done all his homework and gave us the bottom line. It is an obvious emotional rollercoaster ride tactic that I am sure works on hundreds of poor souls but, I like to do my homework and make an informed decision. Only then will one be able to see through the xxxxxxof high-pressure sales tactics that these people tried to use on us and in the end, only hurt themselves. Will this review shut them down? No! Will it hurt their business? I doubt it! Will it have an affect on potential sales? Of course! I am proof of that since they have lost 4 customers as a result of this deal going the way that it did. If people think of them as a good dealership, then okay, let them keep going there. I prefer to work with a great dealership and I now believe that I have found one. Mr. Williamson sent me an e-mail to ask if there is anything that I feel that they could do better for me. Did they respond in a timely manner for me? Did they answer all my questions? This is about what they can do for me unlike my Menzies experience which felt like I should be doing something for them. I hope this review helps and if you should opt not to try Uxbridge and go with Menzies, I just keep this in the back of your mind so that you get all that you should be entitled to. More

Rick was not at all pushy, with little information provided to him on my requirements, he went to work immediately, and in no time he had gotten back to me. This is my second 300 that I personally had purchased from him. This time I had a trade-in of which Rick gave me moe than a fair price for, and inturn found me not only the AWD 300 that I wanted replaced but it is fully loaded with options at a very decent price, and he went a step further and got me a better financed rate than advertised. Even going thru the car with a team member who was very knowledgeable about the car, he took the time to go thru all the electronics, very impressive. Zain was also a tremendous help, very thorough in providing information and clarifying the different and extended warranty packages available, analyzing each for me and identifying what would best fit my needs based on my volume of mileage. Both Rick and Zain I believe to have been very honest with me in every aspect of my purchase, and patient, not once was I pushed or felt pressured, only freindly courtesy and respect was received. Overall my whole purchase experience was very pleaseant, more than exceeded my expectations in so many areas from Rick of which I am grateful also. If you are looking for a vehicle, I would highly recommend Rick and his team at Menzies Chrysler. Nancy More

Looked at a dodge caravan, nice vehicle but when talking to a sales associate, he told me I was only to able to get a loan from one place at 21% interest. Ended up with 8% from another dealer. My winter service maintenance was done in 1 and a half hour, including winter tire changeover. Looked liked a very busy day for them. Not sure if 1 and a half hour service is too quick. Problem today was when I used my wiper this afternoon, the wiper will not stop, even if I turned off the engine. So am not sure if they forgot to do something or the service was done too hastily which may have caused the problem? Or maybe not. More
