Wrecked my vehicle I took my SUV in because I was having an issue with my radio. They told me the diagnostic fee was $160 and would take an hour and a half, 4 hour late I took my SUV in because I was having an issue with my radio. They told me the diagnostic fee was $160 and would take an hour and a half, 4 hour later I called asking what was wrong. They made a bunch of excuses about why it took so long, than wanted $1800 to repair the radio. I said I'd think about it, when I arrived to get the vehicle they started telling me how they played around with my battery and other parts of the vehicle. I drove the vehicle home and within hours my transmission started slipping and sticking in 4th gear. I returned the next day 8am with the vehicle explaining I've never had issues with my transmission and serviced it about 8 months go and it was in perfect condition. They rudely tell me there are 40 people ahead of me and I'll have to pay another $160, I asked to speak with the service manager Robert Ellerton, who seems to always be "on lunch" and doesn't return calls. I leave the vehicle with them overnight, the next morning I call, they tell me 57 people are ahead of me. I called a tow who took the vehicle to another Dodge dealership A diagnostic was performed they found silicone residue inside my transmission and around a connector. They came to the conclusion someone tampered with my transmission and somehow this silicone got into the transmission. I've bought previous vehicles cash from Menzies in the past. I'll never buy there again. The scam artists in there service department never called me even after a formal complaint to Dodge Canada(FCA) who contacted Robert Ellerton, hes probably "still on lunch". bad customer service well after numerous non returnee phone calls and numerous calls to Rick Barnes as well as service we have pretty much given up on getting any after sa well after numerous non returnee phone calls and numerous calls to Rick Barnes as well as service we have pretty much given up on getting any after sale service from this sub level dealership, after buying a new 2019 Jeep Cherokee the radio would keep going out, brought it in for service,said it was fixed,it wasn't, brought it back and again wasn't fixed, again brought it back,they say they swapped out the radio,yet the same XM radio ID is on the apparent new radio,odd,thn again we try to call anyone to get answers or solutions only to be told nobody seems to be there for 2 days,nobody,left numerous messages,none returned,at the point whereas i started a FB page to allow others to know just how bad the customer service really is there, seems to be a tail light customer service commitment there,as soon as the taillights leave so does the service.A very xxxx poor management there who just doesn't seem to give a crap about after the sale service, i would give LESS stars but it wont allow me to do so.Even a return call from someone would have been more of a satisfaction than what this dealership has shown us so far,if we had to do it again it would NOT be a Menzies car or truck I have lodged a complaint with Chrysler Canada, although i think that's redundant as all they want is to sell cars and as soon as the cheque clears so does the after sale service, shameful So people, before buying from them ask if there's any issues with the radio's, getting it in writing before signing the agreement would be a smart move, as we were told there;s a software issue with the radios that they have no fix for, but they sure as xxxx do not tell you this when buying in case they don't make a sale,because after the sale you're pretty much on your own because you sure as xxxx wont get any after the sale service from them,except a whole bunch of excuses and stories...just beware before you buy. This is on management and crap product and no reflection on the sales personal there,just to be clear. More

Purchased a vehicle a few years back and it was not disclosed it had been in an accident, which became a warranty claim when an axle snapped. I was not happy. Dealer would do nothing other than the repair (1 few hundred km before warranty coverage would run out). I would not have purchased this vehicle if I was made aware. Came to find out a different vehicle I had purchased (not at this dealer) was a part of a factory recall. Car locked up on 401 and had to be towed in. Alternator was the part for recall, and they replaced it. Dealer would not boost car to validate their work was complete, without paying $140.00 ++ for diagnostics why the battery was dead and car wouldn't start. They left car in parking lot overnight, windows open. in neutral ... I am hoping nothing is missing from my car as I had many items loose in the passenger compartment (front and back seats) Whatever happened to customer service ?? Front office have always treated me well, ... which I believe I need to say to be fair. Back office advisors (in my experience) seem to have a chip on their shoulder and are continually working to pad invoices rather than look after customers. Could be why Fraser Dodge (a few km away) was booked up for almost 2 weeks and Menzies could get the car in right away. I spoke with Sales Manager, who was to have General Manager get back to me ... but to be honest I do not expect much. More
