They would require approx another 160 dollars to "diagnose" the indicator and no idea how much more to actually repair the little red light. It's a known issue with most early year Minis. The indicator does not affect the airbag deployment as my first mini was in a crash with the same red light on, and the bags deployed perfectly. With that said, I avoid Downtown Mini as I would a plague and suggest everyone else does unless you have more money that brains. More

Our sales consultant, Samantha was really a pleasure to work with. She made us feel comfortable, helped us purchase exactly what we wanted, didn’t use pressure tactics, and was straight to the point with pricing. We never lost the excitement of purchasing a MINI through the sales process, and the service has been great as well. If you’re looking for a fantastic sales person who works to make the client happy before, during and after the purchase, I definitely recommend Sam and MINI Downtown. It was so easy! More

Fun when working but otherwise I had to boost this thing constantly. Came to hate it and resent the indifferent service people at this location, no Saturday service, though this might be the only day I have available to come in for an evaluation or some help. The staff at this location seem young and arrogant, like they don't really respect their clients. Manager always takes responsibility for cultures like this. Please, think very carefully before buying a Mini, understand what you are getting into, and that once the warranty expires, you may find your relationship with the dealership changes significantly. They prefer warranty work, so you may feel a bit abandoned once it expires. More

No respect for customers' time- if I'm going on a road trip and need new wipers I should be able to buy them over the counter without the hassle of having to go to work late, so I just drove to Budd's in Oakville- open Saturdays, no BS. As for the service department at Downtown Mini, its also bad. These guys aren't mechanics, they're sales people. Every routine visit involved an attempt to upsell me $500 worth of "necessary" services, even when I had less than 10k on the vehicle. When I asked questions, they would scramble to look up the manual for answers, so its not like they know what they are talking about. They screwed up warranty service on my sunroof so many times I just gave up- event though I wasn't paying for it, I was sick of having to take the car back. I want to bring my car to a mechanic who is passionate about looking under the hood and making sure my car is in optimal condition, not suggesting routine services 5 thousand kms before they are due. One final dig- useless receptionists in person and by phone. I love my Mini, but when its time to replace, I will gladly buy from an out of town dealer. Manager called me at home to address my complaint and totally lost his temper, if he hadn't mentioned his new baby, I would have done everything possible to make sure he lost his job. More

This is the FIRST one that makes me feel valued, attends to every detail, explains thoroughly what needs to be done, and adds extras like washing my car and driving me home. Their culture of customer service is all-pervasive, from the salesman who was patient with my changing requests to the mechanics to the front line and especially the service reps. It might be cheaper to go to a local mechanic but these guys know my car and know me, and I trust them. I plan to keep this Mini for a long time - then buy another one from this dealership. More
Never ever again NEVER For the first 3 yrs my car was fine. Under warranty so minimal work from mini technicians was done. Warranty over - my engine had to be replaced. Seri For the first 3 yrs my car was fine. Under warranty so minimal work from mini technicians was done. Warranty over - my engine had to be replaced. Seriously mini service technicians??? I have spent 7000 on repairs so far. My car is at 77 000km. NEVER EVER AGAIN! Horrible service, dishonest staff, dishonest technicians...Worst customer service ever!!! Even when my car broke down, they said nothing was wrong with it. REALLY? NOTHING? I will never buy from a BMW/Mini dealership again. More

Manager Charles N. is unfriendly, discourteous, wouldn't greet me when I purchased a new mini, although on the phone, promised me good service if I bought from them again. I've only had it since Sept. 2013 and has 1300 km - I am so disgusted with sales and poor service as well as not returning phone calls or addressing issues, I just want to get rid of the car even though it's a great car - any buyers? Since they service the Toronto area, they don't care what reviews they get - all other dealerships are outside the city. I agree with all reviews written, including Madison who comes across as helpful as receptionist but is deceitful in follow through ie. not finding my purchase on computer when it was time for service. Did my info disappear because I complained? Ended up going to Markham for servicing-was great. Mark was marvelous in preparing the car for me to pick up, respectful, and detailed in explaining the workings of this mini. I hope he moves on - they don't deserve him. If employees are taught or allowed to play games, promise but not deliver unless you pay more after the purchase, and ethical employees quickly move on, it certainly tells a story. This was my 2nd mini from them - should have followed my gut. The former manager, Angelo, was great. More
They just loved to omit information! My mother overtook somebody else's lease, and put me as the primary driver on the car. First of all, I told them, atleast five or six times as we were My mother overtook somebody else's lease, and put me as the primary driver on the car. First of all, I told them, atleast five or six times as we were doing the paperwork, that I needed the car for the states. They said, 'yeah, that should be no problem'. Well, actually, it was a big problem, because apparently you need a letter from the leasing company allowing you to bring a leased car from Canada to the United States. I got a call a couple months later telling me to return the car (from MIssouri to Toronto) that weekend or they would come and get it themselves, retaining it for the rest of the leasing period. I had to buy a plane ticket for my boyfriend to come from Canada to drive it with me, because I couldn't do a 20 hour drive by myself. So that was the first big strike. The second was when a cop stopped me and I went to go get the owner's slip. There was no owner's slip. The dealership just 'forgot' to tell me that they 'forgot' to put it back in the glove box. The cop let it go, and made me swear I would go and fix that problem. I did, and the dealership almost couldn't find the slip in the computer, claiming it did not exist. Third strike, it when I went to return the car. I was in a big rush that day, going from place to place, not even time to sit down and have a proper meal. I called beforehand and asked if there was any additional paperwork or whatever before I left the keys. The man on the phone said no, just leave your keys and you're set. I didn't believe it so I asked again. The answer was no. Of course when I get there I go through 20 minutes of paperwork. I should have known by then, seriously. My advice? Stay away. Far, far away. And by the way, my Mini hydroplaned on the highway and I almost ran into a bridge wall. Woohoo! Cute car, but seriously, just for city driving. Of course they didn't tell me those details when I was leasing... More

Very ignorant, not looking out for the interest of the buyer. Bryan did not follow up with me. This was my first time interested in buying a mini, he did not make me feel comfortable. Also seemed to play games with the price, the actual price tag is never the final price there are 5 more prices that follow... I would highly recommend going to a different dealer. This dealer is not worth your time, spend you time in a different mini dealer. Look for someone who is looking out for your best interest and will not push you into making the wrong decision. I would never go back here. There ignorance is a bliss. More
