As a result of this reviewer providing her phone number, we were able to confirm the work order & complete our investigation pertaining to this review. However we were not able to get a return phone call from the reviewer. To clarify the situation, our Service Manager and Ownership pulled the work order with regards to the concerns referred to in your review. The reviewer came into our dealership to take advantage of our advertised $29.95 oil change. The vehicle's oil pan plug came to us over-tightened from the previous oil change establishment the customer utilized. Our technician made notes on the work order explaining how tight the oil plug was. The drain plug failed & broke off flush when trying to remove it. The tech then needed to drill out the remaining plug stub. While seating extractor retaining nut, the remaining oil pan drain plug fell into the oil pan. A new oil pan was required in order to get the vehicle on the road again. We contacted the previous establishment used for last oil change and they told us what markings they put on their air filters and verified it was from their company. They also agreed to participate in the repair. Our Service Manager contacted the customer's father to explain in detail what had transpired and what was required to repair the issue as a result of the overtightened plug. He understood & authorized the work to be completed. Once this work was done however; the other establishment pulled out and did not wish to cover any costs of the repair. We once again contacted the father with the cost of the repair which was $780. Our Service Manager agreed to reduce the invoice to $390 which pleased the father and was paid by the customer. To the best of our knowledge the father was satisfied with the reduction in the cost of the repair. We did the best we could to rectify a situation which was as a result of another company's oil change done prior to the vehicle coming to our dealership. We have made several attempts to discuss the review with this reviewer in order to reaffirm the end result and the actual amount the reviewer ended up paying in order to correct this review to no avail.
