Do not buy a car from here we bought a car less then a year ago from them and had nothing but issues with it...first the oil pan was rusted right out and dropped out a day after they did an oil change (so year ago from them and had nothing but issues with it...first the oil pan was rusted right out and dropped out a day after they did an oil change (something the should have noticed while doing the oil change) and now the spark plugs are messed and it needs a tune up....they straight up admitted to my wife on the phone that they don't do anything to used vehicles before they sell them just whatever needs to be done for a safety. I expected more since I was buying my car from a dealership it would be in decent shape but it's obviously not the case with theses guys just fix them up so they are good enough to pass a safety and the rest is on the buyer...xxxx poor way to do business and recommend checking out other dealerships and staying far away from these crooks!!! I am writing this review as my only recourse on what was a super disappointing experience with the folks at Hyundai Kitchener. Having acquired my third car from the dealer, I found myself faced with a move a super disappointing experience with the folks at Hyundai Kitchener. Having acquired my third car from the dealer, I found myself faced with a move to the US to be closer to my struggling family. Unfortunately, I had just purchased the vehicle a year earlier, but needed to offload it, mostly because of insurance limitations across the border. I decided to try to sell the car on my own (from the US) in an attempt to get out from my financial obligations. When I called the dealership to get the payoff, I was passed around on the phone several times before ending on the line of new sales manager Chris XX, who indicated that I could sell my car, it would be easier for me and less hassle over all to sell my car directly back to the dealer. Chris said given my current mileage and the cosmetic damage it had occurred earlier in the year, he would offer me $30,000 CAD for the car, which would leave me with a $2500 balance, but that seemed worthwhile for not having to deal with the hassle of selling my car across the border or going through the lengthy, expensive process of importing it. After attending my students’ graduation, I called the dealer once more and confirmed the deal with my former sales associate Sonam (who had sold me my previous cars along with this one), who said the deal is still on provided your mileage hadn’t changed much (it had not), so I got on the road for a 14 hour drive North, acquiring gas costs and overnight accommodations on the way. When I phoned/texted Sonam first thing Monday am, she said she had physio and could not meet with me, but had left my file with her colleague Vince. I arrived to find Vince, who was prepared to process my paperwork. Sales manager Chris, who had brokered my deal was also not working. I started to worry. Where were the people who brokered this deal. I would never see or hear from them. What happened next is still shocking to me. Vince, the appointed salesperson reports that my buy-out for the car was going to be $5200. That is $2700 more than agreed upon. I registered my displeasure and reminded Vince of my previously arranged deal. I also reminded him I had traavelled 14 hours one way to sell this car under the agreed upon terms. Vince went into that mysterious office (we all know it) and came back to say the general sales manager was driving the deal now and would not come down. What about Chris? What about Sonam? After a relentless, kind, but angry debate, Vince won. Imagining having to drive home another 14 hours, incur those costs again, and starting over with unloading my car seemed ovewhelming, so I agreed to write the check Chris and Sonam had been sure to remind me to bring. Nope. No checks! I reach for my AMEX and while I wait for the charge to process, I see the faces of the four people that morning who had done me wrong and began collecting those cards so I could write this review, names in tact. As I mentioned the sales managers name, he made an appearance noting so and asking me to sit down. He did not want me to leave unsatisfied. Was this it? Was he going to honor the promises of his employees? No, instead what proceeded was an attempt to engage me in an argument of circular logic. Fortunately for me, the general sales manager wasn’t that bright, so in his attempts he also managed to admit that this was a big mistake, one that this employees made and he was sorry. However, despite being sorry (as he continued to admit being in the wrong and blaming his employees in front of all the other employees)he threatened to pull the deal in entirety if I did not leave satisfied (essentially trying to threaten me into satisfaction) he refused to budge and meet me 1/2 way to share in the cost of the mistake, or offer me any mode of decorum I deserved. I left furious, out an additional $3000, and now a few days later I see the car on the lot for $8000 more than the payoff. Unbelievable. This crew seems nice, but they are calculating, stingy, salespeople who are just out for a buck….no matter what time the season. I also remain convinced that Chris and Sonam were intentionally out of the office during my visit. I feel most sorry for Vince in all of this. As for me, I am poor, but am so glad to have this forum to save others from their unprofessional business practices of this dealer. Why risk a similar experience? Find another dealer. This one is down right shady. I personally dealt with: Chris Brading, Sales Manager who made the deal to buy my car. Sonam, sales associate who made arrangements to sell the vehicle back.
