Kia has come a long way and my new Sportage SX Turbo has so far exceeded all expectations and previous perceptions. If you plan on getting one, get the top of the line SX model and no less. Now for my experience at Kia Vancouver: I have never experienced such friendly, no pressure, no car sales pressure ever in my life of shopping and buying cars. When I say no pressure, I mean it's like home from my first contact with Marco to leaving the lot with my new car. I'm a life time Honda guy and my wife is a long-time Toyota owner. The final decision to dish out $40k was not the car or deal - it was the staff (Ok, the deal was helpful too). Kia Vancouver has earned 2 new Kia freinds. My first contact with Marco was via online chat. I just wanted to know if they had the Sportage I wanted to check out available to test drive. It was available. Marco said he can have it ready. I told him i will be there within 45 minutes. 1.5 hours later my test drive and chatting with Marco. I was amazed with the car. But that was nothing compared to the impressive customer service Marco provided. He didn't even want to talk deal, cared how serious I was or even pushed me on anything. After discussing with my wife, we were confident to try to make a deal. Contacted Marco to arrange a time, told him what car I wanted and asked him to send me some details to confirm. Done. Second trip to dealership to test car again. Marco was busy with another customer but gave us the keys and told us to take the car out for a spin. No rush and no pressure. Wow! On to the negotiations: My wife and I had a set price in mind for the car and trade in. The initial offer was, well, insulting. No offense Marco & Harry. A little back and forth plus some serious discussion between my wife and I, we came to a deal! Marco was a superstar and work so hard to make us happy and get us into the new car. Thank you Kia Vancouver!! Just a note... The Finance Manager, Tessa was less than spectacular. She made a few mistakes drawing up the financial docs and was not a pleasant person to deal with. Night and day compared to the sales team. I didn't bring with me a blank check for the financing info. She didn't seem to care and said I can go through my online banking to get the info. That was it. Got the docs done (and still inaccurate) and she was gone. In a hurry to leave I guess. I'm home with my new car and they still don't have my financial info...heehee. (Don't worry, I'm dropping off a blank check to complete the process in a day or so) More

This all changed when I had an initial conversation with Bojan about a vehicle I had previously purchased. He was easy going, friendly, and had no alternate agenda. I proceeded to refer my parents to him who have recently purchased their third vehicle from him. I will be purchasing and consulting with Bojan regarding any of my future vehicles. We came in there with the mindset of purchasing a used vehicle but Will laid out all the facts, car features, and numbers that we were super comfortable buying new. Again with Tessa, she was easy going and didn't put pressure on us to purchase the extra add-ons either. She laid out the facts of each package and was very practical in her reasoning.
