I didn’t have a pleasant experience at this Kia dealership. I went in to test drive and possibly buy a 2020 Mazda CX-5. I dealt with the salesperson, Pedro and the manager Christopher Wazen. Initi dealership. I went in to test drive and possibly buy a 2020 Mazda CX-5. I dealt with the salesperson, Pedro and the manager Christopher Wazen. Initially, during the test drive things went well. We (my son was with me) visually inspected the vehicle and I noticed two marks or scrapes on the right side of the vehicle, pointed that out to Pedro and he said that the dealership did not do that type of repair. When I reminded him that on Kia’s site, it says that the vehicles are “flawlessly detailed” he said that that only applies to the inside of the vehicle. With respect to the MTO certification, I said to Pedro that I would consider taking the vehicle to my garage for inspection as I told him that the dealership’s own inspection would be a conflict of interest since they would have every intention of “passing the inspection” to conclude the sale. The negotiation of the sale process was not a pleasant experience. Pedro took my “final offer” with my credit card (which he informed me would be for a deposit of $500) to his manager Christopher Wazen to seek his “approval”. Pedro came back with the document showing an amount of $1,000 in excess of what I was prepared to pay. I stood up to leave but then realized that Christopher, the manager had kept my credit card with him and I informed Pedro of this. I was not pleased. Than Christopher came to meet me and he finally agreed to my “final offer”. (The numbers that Pedro initially came back with were “all in” meaning after sales taxes which I find to be a bit strange). Pedro processed a charge of $500 on my credit card as a pre authorization. When I had asked Pedro previously if an oil change would be done on inspection of the vehicle he said the mechanics would look at the condition of the oil and determine accordingly, however Christopher said that an oil change would be done when I asked him the question. I didn’t find the issue surrounding the “165 point in-house” inspection to be convincing. Pedro asked my son to post a review of our experience on Kia’s site, which my son did. I didn’t read my son’s review, but Pedro told me that my son gave him 4 stars out of 5. Pedro said to me that wasn’t good enough, that it had to be 5 stars. I have to point out that I have yet to pick up the vehicle, Needless to say I didn’t have a positive experience at this KiA dealership, especially the “withholding” of my credit card (and ownership papers of my vehicle -for trade-in) which prevented me to leave the dealership. This post is factual to the best of my knowledge and memory, Finally, I want to add that the lady at the reception desk was very nice and professional. I think KIA would be wise to review some of its business practices. More
Very poor customer service from the service department. I have a Kia Niro Hybrid. The hybrid system stopped working while I was driving on the highway in Ottawa. They had a hard time to investigate the probl have a Kia Niro Hybrid. The hybrid system stopped working while I was driving on the highway in Ottawa. They had a hard time to investigate the problem, went back an forth with Kia Canada for a full week. They did not provided me a car, Kia Canada's policy is not to provide a car during assessment either if the piece to replace is available. Local dealer does not provide rental either, they go by Kia Canada's policy. Part was apparently available in Vancouver and shipped to Ottawa, after 2 more weeks, I still don't have my car and the part, who knows where it is. They do not keep me inform, I have to call them and they action something only after I call them. This is very very bad customer service. They tell me they will call me to inform me of the progress. After 3 weeks, I have never received a call from them. I am not buying a Kia anymore and won't buy from Kia on Hunt Club either ever. I am not recommending this dealer. More
Avoid both Sales and Service Departments! My husband and I bought a KIA Niro all electric from this dealer ( unfortunately only dealer of KIA electric cars in Ottawa) and we were told by the salesman when I bought a KIA Niro all electric from this dealer ( unfortunately only dealer of KIA electric cars in Ottawa) and we were told by the salesman when we picked up the vehicle that our first warranty service check was at six months. Starting at three months point we were bombarded with calls informing us our car was due for a safety check. At six months my husband took our car in for its routine warranty check. He and the mechanic initially walked around the vehicle and he checked the licence plate. An hour later my husband returned to the service department and was told the service was complete. At that point he was told because it was an electric car, it needed only to be checked at 12 MONTHS! Nobody in either Sales or Service are aware of warranty schedules for vehicles they sell! Surely the Service person could have clued in by the green license plate that we had a fully electric vehicle! This incident only reinforces that all the staff at this dealership are INCOMPETENT. AVOID this dealership! More

Unfortunately I had a very poor experience at KIA on Hunt Club. I ordered a 2021 Telluride and waited for a few months for it to arrive. I had also negotiated a "deal" where winter mats, side steps and winte Club. I ordered a 2021 Telluride and waited for a few months for it to arrive. I had also negotiated a "deal" where winter mats, side steps and winter tires would be included (no cost to me). The paperwork was drawn up, the aforementioned accessories were noted on the paperwork along with the applicable discount to cover the accessories. My old car's trade in value was also noted ($24k) on the paperwork (sales order). When the vehicle arrived, it was a 2022 model with a financing rate of 1.5% higher than I agreed to on the original sales invoice. Also the approx. $3000 in accessories which I negotiated were no longer discounted on the sales invoice. I spoke with the finance guy who referred me to the finance manager. The finance manager could not explain the lease agreement numbers at all but simply said the discount is in there somewhere - sometimes we have to play with the numbers. We went over the agreement numbers for 20min or so with him stating that (1) the discount is covered because we gave you more for your trade-in, and also, (2) we can't discount the Telluride at all because it is so popular. So which is it? Is the discount hidden in there or are you just not going to honor the deal I made originally (which was written down by the salesman at the time)? The trade-in value excuse didn't make any sense because the value was still marked as $24k on the new sales invoice. Anyway he could not explain the sales invoice numbers at all but said he will follow up with the salesman and the sales manager and get back to me - just sign for the vehicle. Well I've yet to hear the results of that conversation and it's been a month - I'm sure they are still discussing. Aside from money issues, once the vehicle arrived at the end of August, the salesman asked if I could pick it up on Aug 31st. Sure. When I arrived, I had to wait over an hour for the vehicle to be "ready". At least one other couple were also waiting a similar amount of time for their vehicle as they were present the entire time I was waiting. Once my vehicle was finally ready, we went to see it and ... it wasn't ready. They hadn't received the side steps or the winter mats. They would arrive tomorrow - Sept 1st. So I could just come back "at my convenience" and have them installed. Why say the vehicle is ready when it is not ready? Well the answer, I think, is that they wanted the sale on that month's sales numbers. I can't see any other reason why they would make me pick up the vehicle just to return in a day or so and drop off the vehicle again. I live 30min away - there's nothing convenient about that. When I did return to have the accessories installed, I had to wait approx. 2 hours for the work to be completed. Quite a waste of time and gas. The vehicle - 2022 Telluride - has been excellent so far. Very nice to drive - quiet, comfortable and everything has been working well (only 1 month). I am enjoying the vehicle but I caution anyone looking to buy a KIA from using Kia on Hunt Club. Their communication with customers is seriously lacking - as is their internal communication between departments - and i question their integrity. More

Brought my 2017 Rondo in for Service 1. Staff were pleasant and service was completed in a couple of hours. When I went to pick it up, I noticed oily hand prints all over the front, above the grill. I pleasant and service was completed in a couple of hours. When I went to pick it up, I noticed oily hand prints all over the front, above the grill. I popped the hood, and found oil spilled all over the fan and dripping from the engine tray. I showed it to the service manager, and a tech brought the car back into the bays. I assumed it would be clean, so I didn't double-check when they returned. When I got home, I found that they had swished a rag around, but the oil was still dripping from the tray - they hadn't pressure-washed or used any kind of cleaner. I also noticed that although they had checked off "Washer Fluid" I had to add 3 litres to top it off. More
My experience with Kia Hunt Club dealership is very unpleasant and horrific. Everything went well until when it is time to sign the bill of sale. Salesman, Danyal, agreed on the price that we asked. He unpleasant and horrific. Everything went well until when it is time to sign the bill of sale. Salesman, Danyal, agreed on the price that we asked. He said his company is “volume base, not Profit base”, and he will not charge me 250$ for the paint. He even guided me step by step on how the calculate the Bill; he witnessed me wrote down the number that we agreed on my notebook. Danyal said we can deposit 500$ for the car while waiting to meet the Finance Manager. We deposited the 500$, and then went to see the Finance Manager. This is where my nightmare begin. The Manager explained a lot of financing plan (we totally understand this is his job), and then when the bill of sale came out, the number is wrong and they even charged us a hygiene fee!!! We told him that the number on the Bill of sale is not what we agreed on when we have the discussion with Danyal. The manager called Danyal in to talk with us. Danyal started to stutter and he said he need to talk to Sale Manager, Moe. We told him that we can’t stay for any longer because one of us need to go to work. After 5 mins, Danyal still not coming back, so we have to leave. The finance manager briefly talked to my uncle the next day because I was working. When I arrived home, I call them right away. This is the most unpleasant phone call ever. The finance manager admitted that it is “their fault”, and blame it on the “miscommunication”. He said “everybody make a mistake, and it is very normal for people to miscommunication”, and he said he is willing to settle the deal if we add 250$ more. I am completely speechless. So basically he means: Yes. We made a mistake, and it is a basic mistake that a lot of people make, that included a sale person! So we should give him another chance by paying for their mistake ?!! My mind is blow, and my uncle who sat beside me listening to the conversation was shocked. Not to mention about the shouting that he made over the phone!!! In the end, I called off the deal, and I told him to refund my 500$ back. After hearing that, he spoke even louder and didn’t want me off the phone, but I managed to get off. The next few day, Danyal and Moe called try to change our mind. Danyal said that he is willing to do anything to make up to us, but the biggest question is can I really trust them? Maybe another “miscommunication” happened again! When I told Danyal that I want my refund back, he asked me if I can come in to sign for my refund form. I told him that I am busy, he can scan the form and email to me, and I can sign it and email back. After 2 weeks, the refund cheque was sent to my mail box without me signing any form. Danyal also sent a text message that the colour that I want, nobody has it in Ottawa!!! (They’re know that I was in a big car accident and really need a car). After all of the chaos, I finally understand. They used the signing refund form as an excuse for me to visit them again, and the news about the colour to make me feel nervous, and go back to them. I am so regret for not reading the Kia Hunt Club reviews on DealerRater because a lot of people experienced what I was experienced. Because of the reviews on the Dealer Rate, I was able to find an amazing Kia dealership at Carleton Place called “Turpin Kia”, and got my new 2022 Kia Soul lunar orange ( I also wrote a review about my experience with Turpin Kia on their website). My last message to all of the buyer is: If you want to buy a car from Kia on Hunt Club, buy it at your own risk. More
Was looking to purchase the new 2022 Kia Carnival. Sent a request online and had several email exchanges with Danyal. I needed my Kia Soul appraised and exchanged pertinent information with him to get the pr request online and had several email exchanges with Danyal. I needed my Kia Soul appraised and exchanged pertinent information with him to get the process started. He mentioned that his Finance guy Charbel wanted to get started on the financing and told me they were having trouble finding my and needed my SIN number. I explained that I didn’t feel comfortable giving that information over email he said he’d have Charbel give me a call. A week passed and no call. The following Monday Danyal emailed me again and said that they had been trying to call me but it didn’t work. I set up a time with them for Tuesday after 4pm. Again, no call. Wednesday morning I sent another follow up email and within 15 minutes the Sale Manager (I cannot remember his name) called me to apologize and ask for another chance. We set up a meeting for Saturday morning at the dealership. Saturday rolls around, my dad and I head to the dealership and meet with the manager and Danyal. They appraise my car, get the lien amount still owing and come back to me with a price. The day before I had been to another Kia dealership and gotten a price. Hunt Club’s price was significantly higher. When I mentioned this, instead of double checking the numbers they went on to say that the other dealership had made a mistake and they were the best offer. They were very dismissive and arrogant in my opinion. I obviously left but not before asking for the financial breakdown. Shortly after I looked it over and noticed that they had listed the lien as $10,000 more than it was (I watched Danyal write down the correct number). I emailed Danyal explaining that once again there had been an error but that I was still interested in seeing what their payments would be and NEVER for a response. Apparently my business is not good enough for them. I bought my Kia Soul from them 5 years ago (different salesmen) and had a great experience and even recommended them but this process and experience has been awful. I will never go back there and will tell others I know not to give them the time of day. Horrible service! More
