One happy Mazda owner I have visited the kanata Mazda TWO days before I have finally decided that this is the car I see myself in. I own a Mazda X5 and I couldn't be any happier with any other car. Jesse was our sales personal when we decided to test drive 20min before dealership closed and time didn't matter to him as he wanted us to leave with great introduction of the car and what options we have. Three days later, I am a proud owner of a Mazda. :) More

Great Car Buying Experience I've bought several cars over my lifetime, always through a dealership, and I have never bought from a dealership like Kanata Mazda. I had done a lot I've bought several cars over my lifetime, always through a dealership, and I have never bought from a dealership like Kanata Mazda. I had done a lot of research on SUVs from various manufacturers and I had visited a few dealers in the area when I decided to go to Kanata Mazda to check out the CX5. The salesman, Jesse Deslauriers, responded quickly to my initial email inquiry and setup an appointment with me to test drive a vehicle. When I arrived at the dealership, he greeted me with a smile and asked me if I knew the model I was looking for. He was very friendly and welcoming. I told him what I was looking for and he showed me the vehicle in the showroom. He didn't waste my time by showing me a vehicle I didn't want or show me all of the potential options in a more expensive version, which I also appreciated. After going over the key features of the CX5, he asked if I wanted to test drive it. When I said 'yes', he informed me that he had a vehicle warming up in the lot (no waiting and nothing like a warm vehicle on a cool winter day - bonus points for that) so he took me for a test drive. IT WAS AWESOME!!! He drove the first half and showed me the features that the SUV had to offer by driving through the slush, showing the braking power and the acceleration etc. He even tried to do a donut on the snow and ice in a parking lot to demo the AWD. I was impressed with the vehicle response and then I got to try it out. He encouraged me to really drive the vehicle and not baby it. It was by far the best test drive I've done and I went from liking the vehicle to loving it. Of course, I went home to talk to my husband and think about it as it was a big decision. Jesse was really cool with me doing that and wasn't trying to scare me into buying - no pressure. Again, I loved that fact that I didn't feel like I had to buy or try to show me something else to get a sale. It was a very professional, respectful, pressure-free environment. After taking some time, I decided to go back and purchase the vehicle. As soon as I walked in, Michael greeted me by my first name and called Jesse to the front to meet me. I liked the personal touch by just remembering my name and not treating me like a number or just another sale. Jesse spent so much time making sure that I was happy. He was fair with the trade-in value of my old car and explained to me why he offered what he did, which helped me in feeling good about accepting the trade-in value. During the trade-in assessment, the sales manager, Michael came by to talk with my husband and I, which was more than just talking about buying the vehicle but just visiting while we waited. The team made sure that we were comfortable and offered us a beverage while we waited. It felt like being at a family event and not a dealership - super comfortable. When it came to finalizing the sale, we met with Debora, who was also fabulous to deal with, she worked with me over some of my concerns to make it work for me. When I went back to Kanata Mazda to pick up the vehicle, Jesse went the extra mile to make sure the vehicle was setup for me and he spent 20mins going over the features to make sure I knew how to use the navigation, car starter, setting up the tools etc. He wanted to make sure that I was comfortable with the features of the car and answer all of my questions. He told me that if I had any questions or issues to call him and he would help me. The team at Kanata Mazda was wonderful to deal with. It was truly the best experience of car buying I've ever had. There was no pressure or rush to buy. The team spent several hours with me throughout the process and I've never had that type of experience with other dealers. Besides being happy with my purchase, I know that my service will also be done there as they are so focused on customer service. I don't tend to write reviews but this dealership is a great example of how a buyer should be treated and I can't encourage someone enough to give them a chance. I know that in a few years when I want to buy another vehicle, I will be starting my shopping at Kanata Mazda. More
Purchase of CX-3 I had an excellent experience with the purchase of my Mazda CX-3. In particular, I really enjoyed the test drive. Jesse Deslauriers did a great job explaining and demonstrating all of the safety features and AWD capabilities of the vehicle. The car is excellent and I really enjoy driving it to work everyday. Clearly explained the features and safety of the Mazda 3 and what to expect from the car, which carried into the test drive. His confidence and respect for both the clients (my 20 yr old daughter and my wife) and the product was refreshing. The test drive...sold the vehicle. If he had demo'd a 1966 Lada the way he did the 2017 Mazda 3, we would have bought it. His training courses with Mazda driving showed his passion for the product and his commitment to the buying process. We checked a number of other vehicle's at other dealers in Ottawa, before visiting Mazda and we were stressed abought what to do. We had a good idea what we wanted and how much we were willing to pay. Then we met Jesse Deslauriers, and we explained all of these items to him & he listened which is a huge thing in itself. Thank you for the amazing service we received from you Jesse. We are now the proud owners of a 2016 MAZDA 5 and enjoying every drive. After all My own inner child wanted something sporty, could handle well and have a little speed when needed. the test drove sold me. Jesse was able to show me that I really could have it all. All the space i needed for my weekly activities with the kids and all the power and performance I needed for a fun car. From start to finish the whole buying experience was different then all the other dealerships I had dealt with. There was no high pressure sales get you behind a desk crunch numbers go back and forth. Just straight up he let the car talk for itself listened to my needs and fit me with the right car without any effort. He event taught me a little something about the Mazda Zoom Zoom button and if you don't know what that is you better go ask him. More

By the time we got to Kanata Mazda, we were down to two cars on our shortlist. It was our first visit to this dealership and didn't know anyone, so the receptionist called Jesse Deslauriers, who just seemed to be the next available sales guy. We had no idea that we were in for a very pleasant surprise. Jesse was very knowledgeable, courteous and patient (great sense of humour, too!). He is someone who is passionate about cars and has many talents, and this shows in the service he provides to customers. First he talked about the differences between a Mazda CX-5 and a Kia (we were still considering the Sportage). Then he asked how our test drives were so far with other dealerships. We told him that all of them were basically the same 5-10 minute loops in the neighbourhood, possibly including a stretch of the Queensway. He smiled and said that he would give us a different ride, which he did. Jesse demonstrated the car's abilities not only on city streets (e.g., smooth and form ride, solid handling, blind spot alerts) and the highway (zoom, zoom!) but also on the dirt road (quick and firm stop without veering or slippage) and even in a large ditch on soft and wet soil (no problem getting out). After all, the CX-5 is an all-wheel drive SUV, and he showed us that a car like this really shines in difficult circumstances. Jesse was also very pleasant to deal with when it came to negotiating the price. He was fully open about the dealer invoice and how much money he wants to make over that. We didn't make a deal that night because we wanted to see the Kia as well before making the final decision. However, as we walked out of the dealership, we knew that there was no way that we could choose anything else but the CX-5. The next day we finalized the trim and options, and offered a price (in an email) that would achieve his target and also worked for us. He called us within a couple of hours and confirmed the deal. We then went back the same night to finalize everything with Phil, the sales manager, and David, the finance manager. I want to add that dealing with Phil and David was also a pleasure: they were very knowledgeable and extremely accommodating, and provided great service through and through. We decided to get an oil change package at a good discount, so we will be visiting their service department regularly. Needless to say that, when we went back to pick up the car a few days later, everything was in order. Jesse took another 45 minutes to show and explain all the features of our new car. If you are in the market for a new car, look no further than Kanata Mazda and Jesse Deslauriers! More
