I had to take my Mazda 3 in pieces from there to Carling Mazda to get the work done properly. They ruined one of my headlights and tried to blame it on me. Carling Mazda replaced the whole assembly under warranty. which Kanata Mazda said was not covered. More
I had called to find out about recalls on my Mazda 3 -- they claimed there was nothing on file, even though the previous owner had received a recall letter directly. After paying $500 to have the windshie they claimed there was nothing on file, even though the previous owner had received a recall letter directly. After paying $500 to have the windshield motor replaced, I contacted Carling Motors where the vehicle was originally purchased just to have them tell me that in fact, there were 2 recalls outstanding, one of them being related to a windshield wiper defect. I believe that Kanata Mazda just did not want to bother with dealing with these recalls. More

First off I will now be installing the 3rd set of tires on my wife’s 4 year old Mazda 3. Kanata Mazda says that because they did not install those tires, it is not their fault. “They should probably have been rotated”. It was after I had to replace the first set of tires that the boys at Kanata Mazda told me that they needed to be rotated, but that they only rotate the tires if you ask them to. Now it seems that the second set of top of the line Goodyear tires (that have been rotated twice a year for the last 2 years) during the snow tire exchange, are also done, In even less time than the originals. This is not perhaps the fault of Kanata Mazda, or the car, much more likely my wife who it seems has taken up rallying on the weekends. The break noise has been a continuing problem since we purchased the car as well as a central grinding noise I have related as sounding like a Hino delivery truck. We have spent over $1200 at Kanata Mazda in the last 6 months, as well as $1500 at another shop all for not. I would suggest if you value your sanity and your pay check stay away from Kanata and they’re service department. No use throwing bad money after worse More

After reading the review below, I feel the need to share my review, hoping that the first one will not have an affect on people choosing this place. I purchased a used Mazda 5 from these guys 2 years ago, a my review, hoping that the first one will not have an affect on people choosing this place. I purchased a used Mazda 5 from these guys 2 years ago, and have been coming for service and maintenance ever since. It was nice to finally have a Mazda dealer that serviced the Stittsville area. I knew Flo from when he worked in the bank street area, having taken previous vehicles there for service when i lived out that way. My uncle also deals with Flo and the kanata Mazda service people and he has nothing but positive things to say. I highly doubt that the description below is how things went down and I find it sensless to suggest that they tried to tell you that "all 4 rims were bent, just to sell you new ones, and then installed them anyway." If it did happen this way, I'd be shocked. Service people make no money off of selling you anything extra, so why would they bother? I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone needing Mazda service, or a car. More
I brought my car in for regular service. While it was in the shop I decided to have them put my Summer tires on (that are on Alloy Rims.) I was called to be notified that ALL 4 of my summer rims were bent the shop I decided to have them put my Summer tires on (that are on Alloy Rims.) I was called to be notified that ALL 4 of my summer rims were bent and not safe to put on my car. They did however have a set of Mazda 6 rims in stock that would look good on my car. At this point I asked that since ALL 4 rims with less then 20K KM on them are bent, that it would seem to me that it is a Manufacturers defect and should be covered under warranty. I was told that Rims are not covered under warranty and I would need to purchase them. When I complained I was told to come and pick up my car. Well, when I got to the dealership 10-15 mins later, my summer rims were already installed on my car and waiting for me. I asked them why my "damaged, unsafe" rims are on my car - they respoded with "we were able to ballance the rims" I asked if this was the case then why would they try to sell me over $1000 in rims. It was at this point that I asked the service manager for his business card so I could complain. He provided me with his card and told me to leave. I asked if I should pay my bill and he told me to "get out and never come back" I would NEVER reccomend this place for Service. They will try to rip you off. More
