Jesse Carr deals in facts without the typical sales spin Looking for a pre-owned 2018 Mazda CX-5 GT, in mid January 2019, I contacted Kanata Mazda by phone based on their website offerings. I also contacted and subsequently visited other Mazda dealers with similar 6 month old vehs. Jesse Carr, sales and leasing specialist, at Kanata Mazda took my call and we set up an appointment. I found Mr. Carr to be most professional. On time, with the unit I wanted to see available; he explained thoroughly the various components, and more important for me, the unique special attributes of the CX-5 GT that similar size SUVs (Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV 4), I was considering did not have, at a comparable price point. The unit I was considering was very well detailed and the price (after some negotiation regarding my trade and their 'list' price) was very competitive with other dealers. The decision to purchase or not came down to vehicle colour. Theirs was silver; I wanted dark grey. Therefore, I purchased a similar model in grey elsewhere. Bottom line; Of the four dealerships I dealt with, more specifically the four sales representatives (and their respective Sales Manager) I rank Kanata Mazda and Mr. Jesse Carr to be #1 in customer relationship management, presentation of the vehicle , fully answering my questions, and in post-visit follow up to see if there was anything else he could do. Final thought; I had fully researched the technical aspects etc. of the 2018 Mazda CX-5 GT with hours of web searches before visiting the four dealerships. Jesse Carr was spot on in his presentation to me - no spin. He knew his stuff. What impressed me even more was that he pointed out a number of things that I did not know. Well done! If the vehicle colour had been dark grey, I'd have done the deal. I have no hesitation in recommending Jesse Carr and Kanata Mazda. Thank you, Jesse. Terry P. More

Without a moments hesitation Jesse offered to drive to Ottawa from Kanata to pick me up and take me back to his dealership. During the drive we chatted about everything except cars. At no point did I feel pressured to make a purchase. My previous car was a 2009 Mazda 3 and I still miss it. The 2018 model incorporates many new features such as; blind spot, push on/off starter button and back-up camera. Jesse took his time to explain the new features to me and he made sure I was comfortable using them. He was knowledgeable and honest. I never felt rushed to make a decision. At the conclusion of our first meeting he drove me home. When my new Mazda 3 was ready for pick-up Jesse returned to Ottawa to take me back to his dealership. I wonder how many salespeople would do that without a prior commitment to make a purchase? I understand why Jesse Carr has so many positive reviews. He deserves them. He valued me as a customer and I felt comfortable dealing with him. Yes. I highly recommend Jesse to anyone interested in purchasing a new car. More

Efficient service and very friendly staff Mazda was the car I wasn’t thinking of purchasing before I went to Mazda kanata! Despite the fact that we walked in after 7 on our first visit, I was Mazda was the car I wasn’t thinking of purchasing before I went to Mazda kanata! Despite the fact that we walked in after 7 on our first visit, I was truly impressed by the enthusiasm and commitment of Moe, the sales representative. He was very welcoming, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about showing us the different options that we might be interested in. He took us for a test drive and answered our questions well. I appreciate his patience as I have to admit I am not an easy to please customer. Mike, the manager, helps his staff and facilitates their work well. The staff at the reception were very nice and helpful. Follow up was rigorous and we were well cared for. The whole experience was positive ; thank you Moe and thanks Mike for a well managed branch. We went to a different branche to look at more options and to be honest, the service was way below the expectation as compared to kanata. Thanks everyone !You are a great team, More
Not taking responsabilities My 2015 (less than 3 years) Mazda 3 started rusting under the rear plate due to improper installation of the license plate. The license plate is vibrating and damaging the paint underneath, thus the car started rusting. The dealership sent the request to Mazda to see if they are covering the cost even-though the paint is clearly damaged by the paint. For me it is not important who would cover the cost but the explanation I got from the service manager is laughable: (paraphrasing) "I cannot take responsibilities on how the plate is installed because I wasn't with the dealership at the time". Maybe it is just me but I would expect that I'm buying from the dealership not a person, thus the dealership would cover the cost. In addition there was a recall on parking brake, one of symptoms is that brake is not releasing properly. Likely that cause that both pads and rotor are gone, and need replacement. the dealership doesn't want to cover the cost. More

They managed to get me into a car in one day despite my pickiness, and went out of their way to take care of everything for me (lost ownership for my previous vehicle. Oops!). I love my new CX-3 50th edition, and will definitely be returning for my next car. -also they have free specialty coffees in their lounge so that’s a definite plus. More
