Absolutely terrible customer service This dealership gets a solid 1 for abysmally poor customer service. I purchased a very expensive Honda 5000 watt generator this year and it is not working properly. The service manager is so arrogant he said "people bring their generators here and say they are broken but we test them and tell them there is nothing wrong with them". He went on to say they have never had a broken generator, ever. What he doesn't seem to realize is they cannot service the product or fix problems if they don't understand the product and how it works. Also, the dealership offers pickup for power equipment (advertised on their website) and as this item is over 100 KG I cannot lift this to bring it in for service. I called for a pickup and was refused. I am 18KM from the dealership, approximately 1/2 the distance of a local Ottawa delivery. I emailed Eli Charino (the sales person) who said he would help but he has also done nothing. The generator has 6 years of so-called Honda Warranty and quite frankly as I have learned yet again Honda Canada Warranty means nothing and this is just another dealer in the Honda network that does not seem to care about customer service. My advice is don't buy anything at Kanata Honda. By the way, I own 2 Honda vehicles, a Honda Snowblower and the generator and have driven a Honda for 35 years but be assured I will not buy anything Honda ever again because of Kanata Honda. This story even gets worse when you call Honda Canada to speak to someone who can help with a Honda Generator Intelligent Voltage Regulator issue. They tell you to call some company in Oakville, Ontario because they don't know how generators work either. When you call the number you get the voice mail run around and no one calls back. More
SHOCKED!!! Lost my business, interest, and Respect!! I’ve chosen Kanata Honda for my motorcycle needs for years now, as I am purchasing a part the 2018 Cbr 1000rr catches my eye.. I ask Eli Charinos( sal I’ve chosen Kanata Honda for my motorcycle needs for years now, as I am purchasing a part the 2018 Cbr 1000rr catches my eye.. I ask Eli Charinos( sales) for help in information and also let him know I was very interested in purchasing this bike. Was very appropriate and approachable at first. As he asked to see my trade in (2014 Cbr 600rr) I showed him pictures, as the bike was not with me, he liked it and offered me site unseen 3500$. The bike has 35.000 kms on it,.. I wasn’t crazy about the offer but accepted it and away we went. I was approved on the loan of 25,000$ for this new machine and was pretty ramped up that I was upgrading the same week!! I brought my bike in on a Friday, Eli drove it into the back shop, Reving it up in the back, then returned to the front of the dealership with it. He comes in and says “your bikes a piece of junk” his words. First offence. Then proceeds to tell me everything it needs for a safety, tires, chain, lights, brakes, says he can hear the valves!, sprockets, and the list went on!!! Then next out of him says that the deal is off.!! Never once offered me another machine, and had me approved for $25,000!! He also tries to embarrass me by asking “how I would of left with the bike”? For my M2 had expired a month back and my license had to be renewed... At this point I’m offended, disgusted, and turned off to his approach... I say to him if the deals off I want my 500$ deposit refunded immiediatly . He says oh about that, I’ll see what I can get you back, 300$!!!! Was returned to my card! THEY STOLE ALMOST HALF OF A DEPOSIT!! LOL! What a joke! Due to the fact that I am a single father and am in public eye I decided NOT to make a scene. He let me leave completely unsatisfied. This was the first time ever dealing with Kanata Honda and is definitely my last. Even for parts! I’ve shifted my buisness to Power Sports Honda! (My apologies to the parts staff in the power house cause you guys are all amazing!!) As for the silver spoon fed Sales worker, you need to pay more attention to the seminar’s of customer appreciation instead of Snapchat’n!! POWERSPORTS HONDA, today gave me 5000$ for my Bike, without hesitation! Ya re-read that. Take a minute for it to sink in... Amazing staff, and financial management, I will never deal with your company again. Worst sale service ever had!! Shame bud. SHAME. More
Just purchased a used 2013 Honda Civic. I received excellent service from the team at Kanata Honda. Joey and Ken gave me great service. Joey was never pushy or in a hurry to make a quick sale. I also want to thank Ken for walking me through the purchase agreement in great detail. I have never written a complaint on any website about anything before, normally can usually deal with people and resolve issues quite easily but for this lot I will break that streak. I called to have a tire replaced through a warranty - they said no problem and ordered the tire. So I come in and now of course they will not validate the warranty because they never heard of it. I give them the warranty and information and still they say no. I'm from out of town have a flat I have to get this done to go home. Had to go back and forth for a couple hours with them and the tire company that kept insisting to them the tire was indeed covered. Eventually after an hour and a half I spoke to manager Andrew (as he would only let his front line guys talk to me) and got him on the phone with the representative from the tire company. If you buy tires with extended warranty and are in a place after only 2 months of use to use that policy that's what it''s for. I'm in no way trying to be annoying or looking for a cheap way out but just use the warranty I purchased for these tires which is why I bought them overs others in the first place. I was never rude or abrasive but just trying to get them to listen and read the warranty coverage. They continued to just play me off like I was making something up mainly because they did not want to do the claim even though I told them about the warranty and claim before I came in. Their behavior towards me was ridiculous unprofessional and rude but I kept calm. The tire company explained the policy to Kanata Honda and they agreed to replaced tire. I had to pay full price for the tire upfront but they would send the tire in for warranty inspection and after 6 weeks I would have to come back to get the refund. Talked to tire company after said it would take 2-3 weeks. Called 6 weeks later of course Andrew won't return calls, tire company also calls get same run around. 10 weeks later finally the tire company gets a hold of Andrew and he says they have no idea where the tire is it was never sent. Was I surprised, no that was exactly the impression I thought they were going to do while I was there. They would not let me look at the tire, would not let me take a picture of the tire for my records or send the tire in myself. I knew they were lying, I knew they were dishonest and I knew they were not going to do it but the tire company told me to hold on and give them a chance.... we did. Fortunately for us the tire company is honest unlike the people that work here. They took detailed notes of the conversations they had with Kanata Honda had all the warranty information from the tire from that day and are refunding the money to me which they don't normally do in Canada without a tire for inspection. So I believe Kanata Honda was dishonest on purpose and while I can't prove it I now have several problems with my car right now stemming from the same tire that they changed. Shocking... not really! More

Couldn't buy a car but most service has been OK. Some great I've tried a couple of times to buy a car here. The 1st time I ended up buying a Pilot @ Hunt Club Honda because Kanata lowballed my trade, the 2nd ti I've tried a couple of times to buy a car here. The 1st time I ended up buying a Pilot @ Hunt Club Honda because Kanata lowballed my trade, the 2nd time I ended up buying a CRV from Dow Honda because Kanata wanted to play typical, annoying negotiating games. I get dealer service here however because its the closest to my home. There's been a couple of iffy experiences and some great one. The latest was great - I recommend going to Jennifer at service, she's the best. I note that there's no Service Advisors in "Meet our Team" ? Curious. More

With all my years of owning and purchasing vehicles I've never had such a bad experience as I have had with Kanata Honda. Very recently myself and a friend both purchased 2018 Honda Crv's at Kanata Honda. With a few months separating us we both ended up with the same issues. One of the main issues my friend has had with his new CRV was the damage caused to gauge cluster by the prep team. The individual used a sandy rag to wipe it and caused permanent damage to the part. Once the sun hits the dash the speedometer is almost not visible. The issue was brought up to Kanata Honda but was told that it was no longer their issue since some time had passed since the vehicle was driven off. I ended up purchasing my 2018 Honda Crv there from a Mrs Joey Kostova. This individual had very little knowledge of the product. 1) The final cost was greater than expected. I pay 1000 dollard over competition after research .That my fault i should did my homework.Meaning that you can buy it anywhere else with better price. 2) They want you to sign the contract prior to inspecting the vehicle. Leaving you with a ding and damaged new car. Being warned prior by my friend I insisted that I inspect the vehicle before I agreed to anything. When I inspected the car it had one scratch on the bumper, a few rock chips on the side (very upsetting on a brand new car still at the dealership and it requires the use of a paint pen) and the cluster gauge was scratched. Seems like they used the same sandy rag. Moving on to finance. Once I proceed to signing the paperwork I told the Finance Manager a Mr Tom Nash that I wanted the payment on a certain day and when I signed the date was not the one I mentioned. It just seems to me that they didn't really care all that much and just wanted to get me out of the dealership. Picking up my new car. I asked Mrs Joey Kostova that I needed to pick the vehicle up on a Friday and was told by her that it wouldn't be possible due to her having a day off. It just seemed yet again very unprofessional to me. After some back and forth I was able to pick up the car on that Saturday. A major ongoing issue is my scratched gauge cluster. After refusing to sign for the car until the part was replaced Kanata Honda finally agreed to change the part. But sadly the replacement part was also factory damaged and the technician left a bunch of fingerprints on the inside of the screen. Making it impossible for me to clean it.even after show to the sale manager (Terry Hum)that agree of the scratch he let me go say should be a probleme lol brand new car Me and my friend bolt end to another honda dealer to fix those scratch at are own expence lol new car I will finish off this review with my suggestion to avoid Kanata Honda and purchase / maintain your vehicle at another Honda Dealership. More
I had an excellent sales person JOEY Kostova. Joey is the best sales representative I have ever seen. She is so friendly but not too pushy, explains every details and helps you.
