Meanwhile, Eric Oickle, director of fixed operations, gets 5-stars. If it is one day demonstrated that the technicians and their managers exemplify the integrity of Eric Oickle, my "not recommended" could well change to "recommended". Long story short: Hunt Club Dilawri charged me for work on brakes that was not completed. The assistant service manager responded to my concerns with a lot of bluster, and my suspicions were confirmed by an inspection at another dealership. The so-called “customer (s)care” of #Hyundai Canada, meanwhile, would not hold the dealership to account, even when Hunt Club Dilawri would not honour the promise of the outgoing manager to refund me upon provision of the documentation from the other dealership. Hours and hours of 12+ calls to Hyundai Canada produced only a parroting of the line that Hunt Club Dilawri is an “independent dealer” that Hyundai Canada could not hold them to account, nor be held accountable for them. To the shame of Hyundai Canada, it was the Better Business Bureau that succeeded at getting Hunt Club Dilawri’s attention. It was at this point that Eric Oickle personally intervened. Unlike others at Hunt Club Dilawri, Eric took it upon himself to do the right thing, and promptly produced a cheque to refund me for the incomplete work. Eric Oickle is to be commended, and like I said, he personally earns 5-stars. To customers who've gone through what I've gone through, talk to Eric. He's your man. It appears that Eric is tackling some fundamental problems that exist at Hunt Club Dilawri. It can only be hoped, for the sake of first-rate customer service, that those individuals employed by Hunt Club Dilawri (and for that matter, Hyundai Canada) who do not share Eric Oickle's standard for integrity will be quickly removed from their positions. Until Hyundai Canada, at minimum, will demonstrate that they will match the standard and effectiveness of the Better Business Bureau (as well as Eric Oickle) in dealing with any dishonest service from any of their dealerships, my wife and I will be looking for a vehicle make that is not a Hyundai for our next car purchase. I will conclude with one more remark directed to Hyundai Canada, and also to those at Hunt Club Dilawri who didn’t complete the work that I paid for, and refused to honour their commitments and address my grievance, until the Better Business Bureau and Eric Oickle got involved: When it was first demonstrated that the work I paid for was not completed, IF you had said "Sir, we see that we did not perform the work you paid for. You paid us to do the work correctly, and in the timeframe when you brought your car to us. We failed. For this reason, we will refund you AND do the work at no charge"... Had you said and done that right off the bat, you would have made a customer for life. Not only that, I would have told others about the integrity that would have been reflected by that kind of practice. Instead, the story ends with a refund that should have been issued at the beginning of the story. And hours and hours of my wife and I pursuing after you to do the right thing, instead of you pursuing integrity and our satisfaction as customers. And the likelihood that we will never buy from Hyundai again. Hyundai Canada: this story could still have a much, much different ending, if you commit to changing your practices, and making personal amends to my wife and I for the hours we had to work at fighting for the right thing to be finally done by your authorized dealer. Unfortunately, Hyundai Canada, I am not holding my breath. But please, prove me wrong. And it will indeed be a breath of fresh air... More

Customer service is nonexistent and extremely rude!! Our Hyundai Tucson SUV motor broke down..due to a design flaw by Hyundai..after much calling and getting constantly dissmissed or transfered. they agr Our Hyundai Tucson SUV motor broke down..due to a design flaw by Hyundai..after much calling and getting constantly dissmissed or transfered. they agreed to fix it. but did not give us a time frame of when it will be fixed..nor a substitute car we could use in the meantime. More than a month has gone by since we dropped the car at their dearler..still no updates, no answers. I'm currently 6 months pregnant and this was our only car. We need a car more than ever for our jobs, doctors appointments.etc . after a week of calling and just getting the answer machine. my husband went in person. The customer service guy made him wait for 2 hours gave him no updates or answers, was extremely rude and then told my husband to LEAVE because he wasn't going to get any updates for now..and that he might have to wait 3 MONTHS for maybe an update in the motor situation. This is unacceptable! That car was not free nor cheap for us to be getting this kind of treatment. Still no updates on them lending us a car to use in the meantime whatsoever. If things keep going at this pace..I guess when I go into labor I'll have to take the bus. More

I went to buy an Accent, tried out the Elantra and finally ended with the Kona. He was very helpful in making the deal and I felt no pressure.. I was very impressed as Reg came in on his day of to make sure my vehicle was ready and to go over all the features on my vehicle. Much appreciated as I am a senior. Reg is so friendly and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is interested in purchasing a Hyundai vehicle. More
